This has been here for years and years. It has a huge footprint and there are sections that are all connected. There are wristband options for the rides or you can buy a card and load it with credits. There are plenty of rides for all ages. Kids to adults. The kids of course have their own section of rides and the other rides are spread out throughout the park. There's also another park hidden in the middle of Luna Park as well that's a separate park. There are of course games and arcades scattered throughout as well as food vendors. Nathan's, funnel cakes , ice cream etc. Prices in general are pretty steep here but it is a good time. read more

Honestly everything is becoming extremely pricey. But for the kids it's no price on seeing how excited and happy they are. We purchase a card with $50 so the kids could have access to all the rides and play games. Within a hour the card was completely finish. We got to go on a few rides and play the basketball hoop game. I want to give a shoutout to Carter, the Cyclone operator on Saturday April 18th. I have never felt safer on a rollercoaster than when Carter was running the Cyclone. I would trust them with my LIFE. They were running that ride like a commander in the Navy and it genuinely resulted in a smooth ride and more comfortable experience. They clearly take pride in their work and it shows. read more

Luna Park was a bucket list stop for me, and it didn't disappoint. The history of the park is so cool, and I loved the vintage rides and old-school style of the park, signs, and stalls. Sitting right on the water, it offers some really pretty views, especially at sunset over the beach. It's super easy to get to via the subway, which made my tourist life a lot easier. The park is free to walk around, which is great, though you'll need to pay for the rides and games if you want to try your luck. I didn't do so hot but walked away with a Masterball plushie so, there's that. I visited in October when everything was decorated for Halloween which added a fun, spooky vibe with lots of photo ops throughout. I'd love to come back in the summer to see the park at full volume with all its rides and stalls open. read more

I honestly visit kids park for the food. I wanted a funnel cake so bad. The sugar rush is so damm good. I play 1 round on the go kart. Which was super fun. Visit the park alone just for some fresh air. They have tons of rides for children's of all ages. Luna park is the kids/toddler area. Pricey but it's worth the smile on the kids face. Luna park is really just a permanent state fair. Don't expect anything fancy or near what a theme park is like but if you're looking to lose some money on carnival games this is the spot for you! It's not really pretty here, not even at night. Just keep that in mind and temper your expectations for a trip to Coney Island. read more

I went to Luna park on memorial day. The rides were nicer than I remember. I stayed at the Luna Zone A section of the park so my review is strictly for that section. The price is $54 if you are 48 inches and above and $49 if you are 48 inches and below. I believe the price is 10% cheaper if you buy it online and you can avoid the lines to buy the tickets for unlimited pass. You can also pay $1 per 1 credit and $100 for 100 credits + 20 bonus credits, $200 for 200 credits plus 50 bonus credits and $400 for 400 credits + 120 bonus credits. Most rides are 5 credits, so depending on how many rides you plan to go on, it might be cheaper buying the credits, plus you can use the credits for games around the park too (they are around 5 credits as well). In addition, they credits do not expire and you can save it for another time at Luna park. Overall, a great experience, everything was clean. My advice is too come early to avoid the crowd at some of the rides and lunch line too. (Arrive when it opens at 11 am) read more

Luna park is meant for teens and kid's. But there's rides the whole family can enjoy. The wheel and the coaster within the park are the best rides. You have to buy points or a day pass that'll grant you full access to Luna rides. Great for tikes and tweens to have multiple chances to ride. The coaster will let you ride double since it's short. There's variety of food options from Hispanic to Asian street food. I'd go on a weekday, less crowd and able to move around freely. Have fun! To add, there's multiple restrooms on the pier not sure within the park but please watch your kids. It's still a high traffic area and sketchy zombies. There's police usually patrolling every area during busy season. read more

Had to bring my nieces that were visiting from out of state to Coney Island and Luna Park was a must. They had a great time on a small roller coaster and the bumper cars. Rides now take credits & credits (on a plastic card) are expensive and money doesn't go very far, but it was well worth it to see how happy they were with everything. Luna Park is located at Coney Island closer to the beach than Nathan's Famous. The subway D, F, N, Q lines all go there. You can buy your tickets at the entrance (see photo). PRO TIP: lunaparknyc.com If you buy the wristbands online, it is $65 vs $75 at the park. Under 48" is $43 vs $53 at the park. These give you unlimited rides for 4 hours. Seems expensive but there does not seem to be long lines whenever we are there. Most recently we went on Friday from 2-6pm and we did not wait very long if at all. The wrist band does not include Skychaser, Slingshot, and Raceway. The only one I would have wanted to do was the Raceway. The games are not included but seem about normal price for games at other similar places. The entrance to the Cyclone is off of Surf Ave East of the main entrance where you get the wrist bands or cards. The Cyclone is old but still really fun and fast. Soaring Eagle lets you corkscrew in flying position. Thunderbolt does a few loops. Since there were no lines we got to go in the front position on all the rides. One weird thing is there is Deno's Amusement Park kind of in between Luna Park and the Cyclone. This is a separate park from Luna. We definitely have a great time both when the kids were in elementary school and now that they are in high school. read more

Absolutely awful experience. I'm shocked at how untrained and clueless the staff were. Not a single person seemed to know anything -- one of them didn't even know what a carousel or merry-go-round was. Seriously? No one could give a straight answer about ride prices. One ride had a giant sign saying $6, but when I got in line, it turned out to be $18. When I didn't have enough credits, an employee told me to come back -- then completely disappeared and didn't even remember me when I returned. On top of that, the water fountains didn't work, and there weren't nearly enough of them. The customer service was nonexistent. No one helps you, no one knows what's going on, and frankly, I have no idea what any of the workers are getting paid to do. Total disaster. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Luna Park out of the 26 different parks I've visited this year this is one of the most anticipated ones for me as I've wanted to come to Coney Island ever since I was a little girl. So this park and whole area are legendary in it's own way as pretty much everyone knows about Coney Island but Luna Park now a days is also very unique in another way as the park is owned by Zamperla which is a ride manufacturer based out of Italy so pretty much all of the rides and roller coasters here are ones that they have manufactured I guess you can say that this park is kinda like their show room in the United States. While they might not be my favorite manufacturer they do however make some awesome and unique roller coasters and rides that can be found at a ton of different parks all over the world some of them in Luna Park are at least unique to the US as I've only seen and ridden a handful of these models elsewhere. Their coaster collection is pretty cool in a way as they have a good amount of unique designs like some of which are their own spin on some of them out there like Sorin Eagle which is a very unique flying coaster as I've never ridden another one that's designed like this. You also can't count out the Cyclone the most OG wooden coaster around like that's just a landmark in the coaster community and I must say it was a very fun ride as it was smooth and just perfect for it's age! So next to thunderbolt you will find a bunch of track for a new project for 2022 which is super awesome as who doesn't love a new coaster and I must say it's nice to see how much Zamperla keeps adding new designs to this park! Overall this was an awesome day with some fun rides and coasters it was definitely worth the trip here and I'm sure I'll get back here again at some point as you can't ever go wrong with a trip to Coney Island! read more

I recommend buying a ticket online (just be sure to read the list of rides you get with each wristband). I bought the 4 hour extraordinary wristband. Had reservations for 4:00, but you can come earlier and they don't fuss about it. I came 3:30. You must wait on Line to pick up online wristbands. The line was about 10 minutes long. It gave me Unlimited access to many rides. I rode the Cyclone over seven times that day! I just kept getting back on the line! It was so much fun and staff were either friendly or neutral. Lines for rides overall were about 3-10 minutes. Thunderbolt ride had the longest line. I have been going to this amusement park before it was called Luna Park. They got rid of the big waterslide ride but there are some new rides. This is a place near and dear to my heart so I might be biased since I've been going there since I was four years old. This is not a six flags type of amusement Park. This has a very Brooklyn and local vibe to it. Overall, I recommend going down for a day of fun! Heads up: Once you leave the family park area, you are not allowed back in. Luna Park and Dino's park are two separate parks. Because of COVID, the Luna Park area is gated/admission only. However, you can ride the Cyclone and pay per ride without an admission admission ticket to either of these parks. Dino's does not have a gated admission-you can walk right in. read more

What can I say about this park? A group of us went here when my friend was given free tickets from her boss. She is the daredevil out of the 6 of us. When I look at the roller coaster rides, my stomach would turn. I have this extreme fear of height. Awhile back, I went with another group of friends to the Pocono. There was this park called TreeVentures. I went and did the zip-line twice. First time, I closed my eyes. When I went back to my friends, I told them with pride that I did it. Of course, they teased me by asking if I did with my eyes open. Feeling like I have to prove them wrong, I did it again with my eyes open. Let just said, I couldn't sleep that night. Anyway, if you are a big fan of roller coaster rides, go to Luna Park. On my bucket list, I have the Cyclones. I'm determine to ride it even if the thing sound like it's going to collapse when you're on it. read more

Always making memories here whether good or bad. I have things I like and things I hate. Luna Park is one of if not the most famous amusement parks in the world. Fun even just walking around. The admission price is what makes it suck. Best way is to pay for rides individually. It saves you some money. The cost for total park admission is $69 per person. A better option mentioned by others is to buy a bunch of individual ride tickets in a bundle. It's $100 to get over 100 tickets. The rides charge varying amounts of tickets. Cyclone seems to be overly expensive. This is a pretty quick ride that leaves you in aching pain. A lot of newer ones are okay. The classic ones are great too but you can tell they're taking advantage of nostalgia to charge overly high prices. Food is typical of an amusement park, expensive and greasy. There's some okay restaurants just outside. It still is a must if you're in Brooklyn. It's got bad things but it's still the best amusement park around here. The Cyclone and the Ferris wheel are the ones you must ride. read more

I liked visiting this place it was good old vintage American fun. The rides were great and brightly colored and the games and food stands were everything you'd expect from a fair. I loved the location by the ocean and it was a much bigger park than I had expected! The ticket prices for rides were bonkers expensive so we weren't able to really ride any but it was a ton of fun seeing the cyclone and wonder wheel in person! Super cool place and a definite place to visit at least once to experience the history of it all. The boardwalk was great too with lots of places to sit and eat and a beautiful well kept beach to enjoy. read more

Decided to take my family out to Luna Park today for some fun. Our visit started off sour with an extremely rude staff member at the ticket counter. I went on Friday, August 20th at around 7PM. The person at the ticket counter was just chatting away with her other two co workers in the booth, all three of them looked miserable and their attitude showed it as well. It's insane that the price for tickets are the same as Six Flags. I would expect that if you are pricing $40+ for child tickets then customers should also receive quality customer service, that was definitely not the case. At that point I just wanted to purchase the tickets and leave from the disgusting customer service I received. The looks that we're given to me at the counter was disgusting as well. I mean if you really hate your job that much, I would consider looking for something else? Finally left the ticket counter and started looking for rides for my kids to try. Man oh man, this place just hires anyone, they don't care about customer service at all, they just want you to pay for the overpriced tickets and then anything goes. Every single employee was ratchet, young, and did not care to be there at all. Employees talking amongst each other about their personal life, their boyfriends mistreating them, as I'm waiting to get scanned in so my kids could get on the rides. Im just so surprised that every single employee there were ghetto and ratchet. I understand it's Brooklyn, but dam, was management that desperate to staff the place?? Seems like they just hire anyone. Trust me don't come here and expect quality customer service, this is extremely far from that. Every single employee was rude. I give the place 2 stars because my kids did have fun. The new setup is extremely overpriced. The price does not justify the experience. You can't price yourself to match places like Six Flags, Dorney Park, and give the customer service that you do. You want to create a pleasant experience for your customers, and to do that, you need to hire the right people. Staff at one of the food spots were nice, shocking I know, but it was a pleasant feeling to actually have a staff member smile and say thank you after making a purchase. I am sad that I must write this low score review. I visited the park recently with my kids and family so that they can enjoy Coney Island and all of its magic and excitement. However, this year most likely due to COVID and the business trying to recover what they lost from last year, jacked up the prices of everything! For little kids they wanted to charge $45 each, and for adults who are going to ride it was $80!? For 4 hours of unlimited rides. Granted that would be a good deal if you planned to ride every ride since the prices of the rides themselves went up. What really made me mad was the fact that "spectators" means adults who weren't going on ride had to pay $20 just to enter the park!? Why?? That was the last straw and I had to voice my opinion since that was absolute robbery. If your visiting Coney Island go to beach, get some hotdogs, ride the classic Cyclone which you can do separately and not have to pay for Luna Park..I took my family inside the park that had the Wonder Wheel called Deno's where it is FREE for spectators!! You pay per ride like your supposed to back in the old days. For little kids and their parent its the best park, same for all kids young and old there is lots of classic Coney Island rides at Deno's. We drove over two hours to attend Frost Fest and take some cool pictures when security shut us down because we *gasp* dared to use a "real" camera instead of a phone camera. We were told that commercial photography is not allowed, and when I tried to explain that we were taking personal photos, they still made us stop. They did not have a clue that people could prefer to use a scary-looking "real" camera for enjoyment. When I tried to contact customer service to request a refund, I got more of the same. read more

My main concern when visiting any amusement park is, "Can I ride all the coasters?" For Luna Park in 2021 (at least during my visit), the answer is complicated. First, you need to pull up their web site and choose what "group" you want: family rides or thrill rides (Scream Zone, Thunderbolt, and Cyclone). Then you book the time, which is in two-hour blocks. The cost per wristband is $40. So what this means is, if you want to ride rides across both groups, you can buy two wristbands for two different time blocks, which ups the price to $80 (either for two blocks, or one... but that would be a lot of ground to cover in two hours). The Cyclone, Thunderbolt, and the B&B Carousel all have $10 tickets available separately at the park, too. To make matters worse, a number of rides on the Scream Zone area did not look like they were open (or at least, did not have any riders) on my visit. Both the Soaring Eagle and the Steeplechase coasters looked dormant, and I didn't see many riders on the Endeavor or Astro Tower. What this works out to is simple. Neither wristband would fit my needs, and I don't think I would get my money's worth for buying both (and four hours would be overkill when a lot of these are one-and-dones). I ended up spending $20 to ride Cyclone and Thunderbolt once, and spending time (and money) elsewhere. Hopefully the management of the park will reconsider the pricing and allow a "combo" wristband with a $20 upgrade to allow access for all rides over the two hours, or just does away with the ride groups. It does look like this was put in place because Scream Zone is closed on Fridays, but maybe with Summer operations they can do away with it. The rest of my visit was good. The park staff I encountered were friendly and attentive. Thunderbolt was nice and didn't have any rattling, and actually comfortable seating. The Cyclone is nice and has lots of new wood on the course, which is a positive indication that it's being cared for. The side next to the Cyclone seemed to be running well and maintained. I'll come back for the new Flume and coaster going in next to Thunderbolt in the future. read more
