This little mini golf course makes it on my list of NYC gems. Located on the beautiful Westside Highway on Pier 25, this 18 hole mini golf course offers a low key experience to practice your putting skills. Its' neat design cleverly winds 18 holes within a small space. While the holes are not elaborate designs with windmills, the decor makes it close to a suburban putt putt experience. I received two hole-in-ones but I'd say these are mostly par 2/3. A sign says max four shots. That's relative haha. The restroom is a general public one at the head of the pier. There's a restaurant next to it or a seasonal snack shed. Great outdoor date or family outing! read more

Pier 25 mini golf is one of the high-value activities you can do in the city with a group, and it's a lot of fun. The staff takes pretty good care of the course, there are fantastic views of the city, and it's just a chill vibe playing 18 holes through the trees. You won't find windmills, loop-de-loops, or other fun obstacles here; it seems as though it's designed to be played by people of all ages, so it's not extremely difficult, and most holes are pretty short. Certainly not the best mini golf course I've ever played, but it's Manhattan's only outdoor course, adults play for less than $15/person, and you can enjoy some time outside close to the city skyline. Pier 25 is relaxed and fun. One of the main attractions is the 18 hole miniature golf course - the only one in Manhattan - reasonably priced at 12$ currently. I loved the air quality as I walked along the waterfront here tonight - I took a long deep breath - it was so refreshing. A nice way to end the day. I was here at 6pm and there was plenty of activity yet ample space to move around. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel crowded. The park has an open modern spacious feel. Very well designed. Compared with the waterfront parks in Brooklyn, it's much easier to access & enjoy. And lots to do and see - there's sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, scenic ships and beautiful views. For food, there are snack bars and the City Vineyard (at Pier 26). Tribeca Grill & many other restaurants are also not too far away, on the other side of the west side highway. read more

This is a review of the Science Playground that just opened about a month ago. It's listed as "Pier 26 Science Playground", but it's by Pier 25 instead. It's a very cool play-space, with two gigantic sturgeons kids can enter and climb. Weekends are beyond crowded, but I bet it's pretty calm on weekdays and early am Saturdays or Sundays. There's s lot to explore and climb and the structures are cool and original. read more

Amazing view of the water and it feels like you're not even in the middle of the city. All the trees and plants sort of separate the course from the surrounding park. The golf clubs and balls were in great condition and so was the course. The whole course seemed well maintained and quite clean. Most of the holes are pretty straight forward. My favorite holes to play were the one behind the waterfall and the one where the ball drops into a chute. We visited on a weekday morning and it wasn't crowded at all so we were able to take our time playing and re-playing each hole. Definitely one of the best mini golf courses in NYC! read more

Despite the rainy weather, our mini-golf experience turned out to be surprisingly enjoyable. The course was well-maintained, and the wet conditions added an extra layer of challenge that made the game even more fun. The staff was friendly and did a great job of keeping everything running smoothly despite the rain. We had to buy ponchos. I thought they were a bit pricey but the rain started really coming down. Parking, however, was a bit tricky. Im glad we went on the weekend because after looking around for awhile we found a spot. I came to the mini golf center many years ago for my 18th birthday. That was a little over 10 years ago. I came here most recently with a group and played a round of mini golf. The course was challenging but fun all the same. I loved the music selection, and the decorations were pretty cool. I especially loved the part where it looked like you could walk through a cave. I also loved that it was directly next to the water. They had a cafe too which was nice. One of us had ordered a sandwich and it looked delicious. The only weird things were that you couldn't choose the color ball that you wanted because too many people had stolen the ball afterward. They also got rid of the ability to win a free game if you got a hole-in-one on the last round. Overall though I loved the experience and I loved having my birthday there as well. read more

Once we got in, golfing all 18 holes took about 1.5 hours just because of waiting on people in front of us, but it was nice because the holes were relatively shaded. I love going to mini golf as one of my favorite date night spots and hangouts for a small group of friends. Going out to restaurants can feel monotonous and expensive. It's nice to break free with a little competition that's also affordable. I'd say my only issue is if you're not from the neighborhood, it's a slight pain to get to and the courses aren't that challenging. Pier 25 is a place to see and experience a variety of activities...If you want to engage in sports or physical extracurricular activities then Pier 25 has got it! "It" means a slew of things from sports to eateries! Glancing at the website, I saw on one particular Sunday that Pier 25 was having a "Shell-ebrate Oyster 2018" Workshop and I was intrigued....I wondered what this workshop was all about and needed to get more information-lol. Arriving after registering for the workshop online and eating brunch at City Vineyard at Pier 26, I was amazed to learn so much about Oysters. Did you know that oysters help address water pollution and that they have such a historical impact on our lives?! It was so cool to not only learn about oysters in general but to have the staff pull oysters out of the water so that we could touch and interact w/ them...It was wonderful! After the oyster workshop, it was nice to see other things offered at Pier 25...the skating park, mini-golf, volleyball areas, the Hudson River Outdoor Movie Screenings, the children's park, the boating sections and outdoor playground areas. The views are breathtaking! At the end of the pier, it was so lovely to see Grand Banks which is a restaurant on a boat docked on the outermost section of Pier 25. Grand Banks takes reservations as well as walk-ins, depending on the day and time that parties choose to hang out. Grand Banks is a quaint and divine place to dine! As a mini golf aficionado (which I state proudly and sans irony), I must confess this course isn't one of the most challenging or inventive you will ever encounter--no clown's noses or windmills or even dramatic hills, curves or turns. What it does have going for it is a lovely setting nestled amid the views along NYC's glorious Hudson River Park. Staff is incredibly friendly and efficient seem on top of keeping everyone comfortable, adequately spaced and moving along in order to provide as comfortable as experience as possible in the COVID world. And it's still mini golf--It's fun and unassuming, and a nice outdoor summer experience, with lots of nice spots nearby for a bite or drink afterwards. Had a fantastic solo visit yesterday. Wanted to get in some cardio and sightseeing. Trust me! This pier needs to be on your bucket list of NYC locations to visit. The view is simply gorgeous. Tribeca has always been one of my favorite areas to come visit during the summer. I have spent many of spring & summer mornings gazing out into the sky and watching the cruise lines + yachts. There are restaurants available on the pier, as well as many within the area. There is a Whole Foods very close by if you want to grab some treats, and beverages to keep you hydrated before heading over to the pier. You can bring a small blanket if you like to lay out in the grass or sit in one of the many designated areas filled with benches to enjoy the scenery. This pier is absolutely kid friendly! In fact many of the summer programs within NYC use areas throughout the pier to engage children in outdoor learning activities. This is pier is baby friendly as well; and depending on the time & day- you will see activities with parents and small children engaging in "learning through play" and other bonding resources for families. A small but cute pier located on the West Side between Laight Street and Rockefeller Park.... Has a skate park, a children's play area, miniature golf, 2 volleyball courts, a small soccer field Has benches all along the pier and at the end of it - wooden area to sit and look out... you can see the Freedom Tower and Statue of Liberty. They have limited lounge chairs at end of pier and at the volley ball area. A few small areas to purchase snacks and drinks. I visited here with my son a couple weeks ago, and the Customer Service is extremely horrible. The ticket clerks were extremely rude, disgruntled, lazy, obnoxious and unwelcoming. I asked about Military Veteran discounts and got a nasty response in front of my 4Y.O son. Do not go here, find another activity for your kids. Pier 25 in Tribeca is a fun pier with sandy beach volley ball courts, miniature golf, children's playground, an esplanade where you can sit and take in the Hudson views. There's a small snack bar serving chips, sodas, water, lemonade, and candy. In the summer time, the Grand Banks schooner is anchored here, serving up oysters and seafood fare with wine, cocktails, etc. Many boat owners dock here as well. My review of Pier 25 is pure simplicity... simply put, this is one of my favorite peaceful places. Late afternoon sun on my face as I sit in the wavy chairs at the end of the pier. This could easily be an all day venue for a family. there's a skatepark, there basketball courts, there are kids outdoor jungle gyms, and there is an amazing view of the Hudson River. this place has a little bit of everything, and it's completely free of charge. We had a really good time because we weren't in a hurry, here's what I came up with looking back: Pros: - fun and out of the box option in lower manhattan - only $10 per person for 18 holes - great Covid procedure (masks required, everything sanitized, etc) Cons: - very long wait time for entry (~30-40 minutes) - can't book a slot ahead of time - they keep you moving with a four stroke maximum - all the fountains and rivers that usually run through the course are not on and kinda gross with pond scum right now. Not sure if it's just because it's early in the season, but I found it a bit of a turn off. For all the cons, I still think this is a great afternoon activity. Definitely recommend for days where you have no time pressure. read more

This is one of best piers I've gone to. I use to chill around pier 17~ (the pier where the horn blower cruises dock near FiDi. An old coworker put me on and I literally go back there for the view of the Brooklyn skyline. This pier in particular is more interactive. There's several activities that both kids and adults can get distracted with. For instance, they have the kiddie park where they can get splashed with water, a jungle gym, swings. As for the adults there's "adult swings", volleyball, the whole pier can be treated as a track where you can run, I know some of y'all like to tan and there's a place for that as well. The skyline at pier 17 I discovered was the NJ skyline and it's actually quite beautiful. Love this place - so not only does the West side of the island have more subway options and a Trader Joe's in the UWS, they have the beautiful waterfront Greenway running along the Hudson River whereas the only running options for the East side is the East River Greenway (the industrial plants are quite scenic). And one of the best parts of the Greenway is Pier 25 with its mini golf course - perfect for a date or for a hangout with friends on a sunny weekend afternoon. This was my first time mini-golfing, so there was a fair amount of whacking and frustrated huffing. The courses get increasingly difficult, especially if you're like me and can't really concentrate with a ton of people watching behind you. Which explains why I had to take almost fifteen swings just to pass one round. At one point, mini golfing turned into field hockeying. I will say, though, that if you go on a weekend, expect to do a little bit of waiting in between each course for the group ahead of you to finish. Sometimes this can result in a large group huddled together in the tiny patches between each green. Definitely don't be that person who shouts to one group to move over because there is really literally no other space to stand - just wait your turn to hit the tiny white ball. My friends and I were scolded by this extremely impatient mom two groups back because we didn't feel like standing on top of each other and I had one foot on the green. Ugh. Otherwise, Pier 25 is a great alternative to the tired New York bottomless brunch scene: in addition to mini golf, there's a roped off area for kayaking (in the summer only) and a skate park. I'd love to come back once it's no longer frigid out. read more

Oh had the best time here! The day was a beautiful one. It wasnt to hot, but it was very sunny. Hubby and I thought to bring the kids down since the summer was ending soon, and back to school they go and work for me. So yes there were alot of people down there, but not so annoying enough to were everyone is on top of each other, cause the hubbs and I hate that. We let the little ones play in such a lovely play park area, that was section off for the lil babies/toddlers, and another area for elementry school age kids. It had water spouts and a lil water toy that the kids seem to enjoy. Now for my teenager, she wasnt interested in the skateboard park they had there, but she was interested in playing miniture golf that was $7 per person and $5 for small children, (14 and younger.) She really enjoyed it. Then they had this free tug boat museum, that you can tour for free. They also had volleyball, but I think you have to sign up online or something to play that. Next to pier 25 is pier 26 and that is were you do the free kayaking, but we did not get a chance for that. We brought down some lunch to eat, so they do have tables and evening bathrooms for your own personal use. I would love to come back with the hubby and catch a movie, it quite charming for a romantic evening by the water. I will return here as soon as I can with either my children or my hubbs, either way its a win win situation. I would say come on down and enjoy a lovely day by this wonderful pier. read more

This park is close to where I work so I had a nice walk this afternoon & got here. Its a beautiful park and very chill with the water view & world trade center. It has skate park, bike path, kids park, mini golf course, sand courts & a soccer field. it has a nice view to the world trade center and across the river is the Jersey city view. I love that this park is good for everyone! its for family or dates with your boo. the only thing about this park is its kinda far from the train stations, but other than that its a nice place in nyc that everyone should check! read more

Best date spot in NYC. Pier 25 is a recently developed pier as part of Hudson River Park. It features a playground, skate park, volleyball (sand) courts, a turf field, lots of benches, and the best feature, a 18 hole mini golf course. There's a great view of the world trade center tower and you can even see the statue of liberty. Mini golf is $5 for adults ($4 for kids). They offer a few snacks (including fresh fruit and water) for affordable prices. It's really surprising how un-new york the prices are. The course is short and not all of the holes are that interesting but there are a couple challenging ones thrown in. It's a well manicured course that even features a stream and water fountain but when I came it was dried up. One hole featured a small strip of green so challenging to get over and if you missed, the stream carried your ball through a log onto the second tier of the hole. I wish all holes were this innovative but none the less it was a great way to spend an evening. On a Tuesday night the course was full but not packed where I had to wait to play. I'm not sure about the off season but during the summer they're open 10am to 10pm 7 days a week. Pier 25 is truly one of NYC's not so hidden gems and I hope it stays around for many years to come. And for the mini golf lovers out there, Pier 25 is one of the few places in NYC you can actually play and certainly the easiest to get to and the cheapest, here are your other options: -Randalls Island Golf Center ($9)-nice but hard to get to (also has driving range/batting cages) -Flushing Meadows ($8)- nice and has beer (also has pitch and putt course) -Greenwich Village Country Club ($10)- indoors as part Bowlmor (has bar and other games) -Staten Island ($6)- also has go-karts and batting cages (need a car to get to) -Brooklyn Golf Center ($8)- also has driving range, very far into Brooklyn read more

This review is specifically for the min golf. This was very cute for just $7 (a steal in NYC!). First, be sure to check their Twitter for the day's hours as they are sometimes opener later if the weather is nice. We started a little before 9pm. It said the last tickets would be sold at 9pm, but people will still starting around 9:25pm. It's a pretty straightforward course - not a lot of complicated holes - but it's on the water and a good price and it's fun. It will take you about half an hour to complete. read more
