Because of my back injury, over the years my vestibular system has been off and has gotten worse. It's very hard to find a neuro-optometrist in general, so when I found Dr.Simons I was really happy. And now, honestly, I can't imagine going to anyone else but him. I feel like he listens to me very carefully when I explain my symptoms of dizziness and how my eye pain relates to my spinal alignment. I feel like he actually cares about the pain I go through and he tries to link it back to my eyes. He always replies back to my emails and his office is low key, it isn't super loud. Parking is a breeze with lots of spots and it's is easy to get to from the freeway, the 101. His office staff is nice, too.

I checked and I came multiple times within seven years (time period for offices to maintain records) and when I asked the front desk receptionist, she wasn't very sympathetic or cared. Alan used to have a really great receptionist but this recent one comes across as rude and not following proper medical practice of trashing medical records. Further, when picking up my glasses, she was rude about the kind of glasses I got and called them cheap and "made me feel better" by getting a Dulce & Gabbana bag. Like I didn't need the attitude and disrespect. Alan: 5+ stars! Receptionist: 0 stars (hope a new office receptionist comes in soon)

Dr Saifee was friendly and helpful with me during my reoccurring eye chalazion. However, he didn't do the best job, the chalazia wasn't fully removed and it was a painful procedure. It came back again even with taking antibiotics. He then did a steroid injection but that didn't help either. Due to the circumstance he referred me to a "specialist" of Dr Massry. Dr Massry was awful. He didn't seem to care or really help me. Instead he said that I needed a biopsy because it could be cancer. He didn't really care to assist me further and instead referred me to other doctors to confirm his cancer diagnosis. Overall, if you have a quick procedure done here, it can be nice. But if you want a better treatment plan, maybe some other office may be better. But at all costs, avoid Dr Massry.

I was helped by Sona who was extremely rude to me throughout the interaction. All I did was ask how much the lenses would cost through the office and explain that I wanted to think about the pricing before making a decision. From that point on, her attitude toward me completely changed, and she was unnecessarily rude and pushy. I felt so uncomfortable :( What makes this even more frustrating is that I had a very similar experience with the same person the year before. It's disappointing to encounter this kind of treatment, especially when everyone else at the office is so lovely. Dr. Sabrina Ali was wonderful, which makes this experience even more unfortunate. I really wish the customer service on the sales side reflected the same level of kindness and professionalism as the rest of the team.

What a great experience! I wanted to get contact lenses so I can wear my non-prescription sunglasses and Luna Optometry was close to my home so I decided to give them a try. Had a complete eye exam and Dr. James fitted me with the perfect contact lenses now I can see clearly for the first time in a long time! No pressure or rush to get through the appointment, she waited patiently while I learned to put in and take out the contacts and now I feel like a new man...I can see! Highly recommend this optometry practice! Thank you Dr. James for making this process so easy, worth while and fun too. read more

I had a truly terrible experience at Dr. Lucas' optometry office, and I would strongly advise…read moreanyone to avoid this place if you value your eyes, time, and money. From the beginning, the service was unprofessional in every aspect. Dr. Lucas prescribed glasses that were much too strong for my eyes. I immediately experienced dizziness, headaches, and eye strain, and I could not read properly. When I returned for a second exam, he gave me another prescription, but again it was too strong. Ten days later, when I got the new glasses, I still could not see comfortably--whether on my phone, laptop, or reading. On the third visit, instead of apologizing or correcting the mistake, Dr. Lucas became dismissive and rude. He even asked me what number I wanted for my prescription. I told him that if I could prescribe my own glasses, I wouldn't need to see him. Rather than listening to my concerns, he gave me long, unnecessary explanations about the prescription numbers, which only made things worse. All I wanted was the right lenses to be able to read comfortably. The front desk staff was equally rude and unhelpful. Michelle, in particular, acted as if my concerns were personal attacks. Making appointments and picking up glasses was a nightmare. In total, I had to go there six times for one pair of glasses. Eventually, I gave up and told Dr. Lucas the prescription I wanted myself--and that finally worked better than what he gave me. To put it in perspective: for my right eye, he first prescribed +2.50, but when I asked for +1.75 instead, I could see clearly. That says a lot about the accuracy of his exams. On top of that, because they changed my lenses three times using heat, my own frame (which I had to provide, since my insurance wouldn't cover another one) was damaged. The coating around the lens started peeling just days after I picked them up. One lens even had a fingerprint smudge permanently embedded. When I called about it, Dan at the front desk was rude and dismissive, telling me they couldn't do anything and that I should call my insurance instead. I originally chose this office because of the high reviews on Google and Yelp, but after my experience, I can't understand how those reviews are genuine. Either people don't realize the harm, or the reviews are not authentic. Bottom line: This office is unprofessional, careless, and disrespectful. They wasted my time, damaged my frame, and put my eye health at risk. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid Dr. Lucas' office.

It is because of her and Dr Samet that I have continued going here every year. Mozelle is the sweetest and nicest person who goes out of her way to make sure that all of us are well taken care of with her meticulousness and with making sure that we have all items we need to get our rebates. It's too bad Dr Samet has retired recently but I'm very happy that Mozelle is still serving her role here with Dr Ohanian.
