I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but I was unfortunately disappointed in my service treatment. Dr Saifee was friendly and helpful with me during my reoccurring eye chalazion. However, he didn't do the best job, the chalazia wasn't fully removed and it was a painful procedure. It came back again even with taking antibiotics. He then did a steroid injection but that didn't help either. Due to the circumstance he referred me to a "specialist" of Dr Massry. Dr Massry was awful. He didn't seem to care or really help me. Instead he said that I needed a biopsy because it could be cancer. He didn't really care to assist me further and instead referred me to other doctors to confirm his cancer diagnosis. Overall, if you have a quick procedure done here, it can be nice. But if you want a better treatment plan, maybe some other office may be better. But at all costs, avoid Dr Massry. read more

Dr Davidorf is sleezy,sleezy sleezy! He doesn't care about his patients -- He cares about making Money from his patients!! He tries to rip them off. I went to him for cataract surgery. First he quoted me the price for multi- focal lenses. Then he told me to come back for another appointment. In that appointment he said it would be better if I got one lens for distance and another for closeness. Clearly, the poorer option! He then said the charge would be almost $12,000!!! Horrible experience. My father had an appointment with Dr. Guy Massry at Davidorf Eye Group, which was canceled an hour before -- twice! These appointments take months to schedule, and I had even called the day before to confirm everything. I took off work both times just to be told at the last minute that it's canceled again, with no explanation and no reschedule date. The front desk staff had zero professionalism -- they couldn't tell me when the doctor would be available again and seemed completely unbothered by how much inconvenience this caused. It's beyond frustrating and shows how little they value patients' time or effort. After this, I would never trust this office again. read more

I'm sure the doctors are good but it's been over 2 hours since I arrived and I still haven't seen one. I've been sitting with dilated eyes and whitening a frustratingly poor managed office limp along. There is no streamlining of efforts. No attempt to fit glasses while folks sit in their third waiting room. The staff keeps losing patients or confusing them. It has been an unpleasant visit so far. I'll update if I ever see the doctor who I'm just informed 1:50 after my appointment time is "running late". Well at the 2:15 mark I saw the doctor. He was lovely and kind and I the recommendation to see him was well made. This is the most outstanding ophthalmology practice I have ever been a patient of and I'm old enough to have stayed too long at several others. The busy practice is fine tuned from the front desk to the assistants who are all efficient and organized, and they get you in the day you call with a problem. They have four or five doctors but I'm singing the praises of Dr. Tennen and Dr. Gellerman. They are totally knowledgeable, kind, patient, welcoming, and brilliant doctors! They are busy but don't rush you, listen to what you want to tell them and give you options and suggestions for a course of treatment. I have been seeing Dr. Saifee for almost 2 years regarding glaucoma issues. This has been a most challenging situation, due to my physical eye condition. I am so very grateful for Dr. Saifee and his amazing team. I have had multiple eye surgeries and will have more in the future. Dr. Saifee, is communicative, warm, supportive, and totally invested for the best possible outcome. He really cares about his patients. What a blessing. I've visited Dr. Davidorf's office in West Hills multiple times, and while Dr. Davidorf is an excellent and caring ophthalmologist, the scheduling at this facility is consistently unacceptable. During my most recent visit, I waited an hour and a half before being seen. My husband and another referral I made both experienced similarly excessive wait times. It seems that the scheduling staff does not value patients' time, which undermines the quality of care provided by Dr. Davidoff himself. If you plan to visit, be prepared to wait at least two hours. Unfortunately, the poor scheduling practices significantly impact the overall experience. I had to walkout after 1and Half hr. read more

Pleasant experience with everyone I met at Davidorf Eye Group. My primary care provider referred me here due to some eye issues I had been experiencing for months. Scheduling was easy, albeit I had to wait almost a month for an appointment. I was seen by Dr. Tenen and she was really great. She read over the case notes taken by the kind woman who checked me in and then proceeded to look at the photos I shared while I explained the timeline of my symptoms. Her bedside manner was kind and informative, while giving me several recommendations on how to keep my flare ups at bay. Every time I've met with either one, they are very thorough with helping find glasses that fit and look good on you. If there are any discrepancies, they will be sure to reach out to you to clear things up. The best thing about this department is that my trial contact lenses and glasses all came in in about 1 week. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TREATMENT FROM THIS DOCTOR EVER. I called the office I have verified that I have never been a patient. The very nice young lady also agreed this is a FRAUDULENT CHARGE; however, told me I should call the attorney because they don't work with company? My sister and I heard about Dr. Davidorf through one of her co-workers. We both decided to do a LASIK consultation and later on followed through with the entire operation! The Office: It's a rather spacious office with comfortable seating and plenty of examination rooms. Doesn't feel outdated or old and free wi-fi make waiting comfortable and easy. The staff: Super friendly, knowledgeable, and were very accommodating, In order to use the LASIK machine they had to take multiple scans of my eye. On the day of my consultation I had issues keeping it open (due to a lack of sleep), but they were willing to take time on my appointment day to redo them! At no point did I feel like they were trying to rush me along. Like Dr. Davidorf they not only helped me feel comfortable by explaining what they were doing but also the reason why they were doing it. Dr. Davidorf himself: Honestly seems like a chill guy to get a beer with. We immediately hit off as he was Cal grad himself (Go bears!), and made me feel comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. When you read about how to LASIK procedure is done, it can seem really intimidating, but Dr. Davidorf really helped to assuage any of those concerns through his expertise and easygoing demeanor. Was told my Dr (Gellerman) is booking up for over a month and they will help me with my acute vision loss if I see their new doctor whom I am not comfortable with they feel that they are as the receptionist stated "accommodating" me!! HORRIBLE uncaring, rude office staff!!! Office manger Diana or Diane was unwilling to assist or call me back!!! Dr. Davidorff did cataract surgery on my eyes toward the latter part off 2020. He seemed to have fairly good reviews and his manner seemed professional and friendly. Since I am a teacher and an artist, he guided me toward choosing the multifocal lens. He did the surgery on the left eye first. Everything seemed to go well. A month later, he did the right eye. My experience this time was not good. The surgery was painful - the nerves in my eye burned during surgery and I had a headache for almost 2 months after the surgery. A little over a year later and I still have eye issues. My eyes became very sensitive to light, I have blurry vision at times, car headlights and street lights, etc. give me halos at night which makes driving at night very challenging and I just noticed that my pupils are off center. I wish I had chosen a different surgeon. I would not recommend this doctor. read more

Have no empathy for the elderly, The two lady's at the front desk, giggling at how the nurses calling for patients from the side door correct patients with an attitude over patients not allowed to go inside while being on a personal call " distractions are not allowed finish your call before you go in." Or how only one person is allowed with the patient not two. That's fine I understand every office has its policies, but this office definitely needs professionalism. I choose to see the Davidorf eye group for a stye on my right eyelid. The doc that saw me was very informed and had good bedside manners. However the office admin and physician/medical assistants in this office leave a lot to be desired. Details below. So you can decide if you'd like to visit this practice. 1. They got the prescription wrong. The prescription stated that I place the medication (an ointment) on both eyelids even though I only had a stye on my right eye) 2. They got my follow-up appt time wrong even though they'd confirmed the time via text message one day prior 3. They'd put me down for a minor procedure on my follow-up appt even though the doc had only asked me to come in for a check-up 4. When I was running 5 mins behind and called to let them know, they said they couldn't have a patient be even a few mins behind. Turns out I got there on time and then they kept me waiting for 30 mins before the doc could see me Hope that's helpful! read more

I was referred here by my primary care doctor to discuss some eyes issue. I had an appointment at 9:50am for new patient intake. I waited over an hour and still hasn't been seen by the doctor. During that time I witnessed another patient left after waiting for 45 min, another patient that had a minor surgery scheduled only to be told that the office made a mistake by scheduling him with a doctor who doesn't take his insurance as was asked to come back. Patient after patients are asking when it will be their turns. I spoke to man who is a patient said and he said the long wait time is common here. I have been to many doctor offices and never had this long of a wait time. I don't understand show you can expect people to wait over an hour for an exam or eyes check up that probably take less than half the waiting time. Needless to say I left at 11am and will likely take my service elsewhere. read more

I recently discovered the Davidorf Eye Group referred to me by my family physician. I knew nothing about this office or eye surgery, but I sure did get lucky! The office is very organized, extremely clean and sanitary and technology was up to date. I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. The entire staff and all of the doctors are caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They have exceeded my expectations from start to finish! Recovery was fast with no complications at all and vision is better than ever! There were numerous pre-op and post-op appointments but all were stress-free. After surgery at West Hills Surgical Center, Dr. Jonathan Davidorf called me personally the next morning to check on me along with the staff at the surgical center, I am so blessed! Dr. Jonathan Davidorf gave me options and took the time to talk to me about my needs. His post-op optomologist, Michelle Vartanian, is a gem! I would give it no stars if I could. Long time patient. Drs are not the problem. The staff is. I booked an annual exam for my husband and I in September. I called to confirm the week of the appointment which was on 1/16/2023. I called the morning of the appointment to ask if they still require masks. I told them my name. I said I would see you soon. When we arrived for the appointment they said they called on 1/13 to cancel. I said what number did you call. The number they called was our old original landline. I told them a long time ago to update our number to our cell phones. They never did. They said we called the cell phone number and left a message. I said if you would have done that would I be standing here at 9:30 in the morning for my appointment?? We just walked out and I did complain the next day to the office manager. I also had a big complaint about another staff member in the back office. Very rude and disrespectful. In the past they have notified us by text and voicemail on our cell phones. They did not do that this time. We are going elsewhere!!! read more

Beautiful place, ground level, large parking lot so far so good. We've been coming here for years, however, our 2021 appointment was a painful experience. Overbooked appointments made the place crowded. Feeling of assembly line and lack of care for patience. The technicians did the tests and placed the patients in rooms. The wait time was long despite of "few minutes" assurance. Husband and wife with appointment at 9 and 9:30 finished after 11:00 am. We are looking for another eye care, which really cares. read more
