Polo at Lumisol was a pleasure to work with. The project Polo bid for me was to install three L2 car chargers in the garage of a multi-family building, which - beyond the just the chargers - required upgrading the service to the garage from 20a to 100a, running perhaps 60' of roof-run conduit; 60' of trenching; lots of 2" conduit; two new 200a panels; and tying it all together to the existing 400a service at the front of the building and the existing "common area" panel in the middle of the property. Polo gave a competitive quote; worked thru several complications and design iterations, incorporating both some incremental upgrades I requested such as an additional conduit line for future low-voltage needs, and working within the tight physical constraints and limited upgrade options of the existing panel, exploring a few alternatives with both PG&E and the original equipment manufacturer to get to a solution that worked for the property, the utility, and the city. Once we finalized the details, Polo & his team took care of the work very quickly and professionally. There were no surprises during the job; and he provided tight quality control on his team, redoing a few things that almost certainly would have passed inspection but which were not to his liking. And - as someone who has done more than my share of electrical projects in the past - its very clear that he takes pride in his work: he used flex conduit only in a few very small areas, doing very clean EMT conduit bends just about everywhere else. LumiSOL and Leo were so nice to work with! The person coordinating all of the emails was always quick to respond and nice. I reached out to more than 10 companies that showed up on Tesla's certified list of electricians and although the quote wasn't the absolute lowest, it was pretty dang close and I wanted someone that felt more local. I already had prewiring done so I didn't require any electrical work and just needed to hardwire the Tesla charger. LumiSOL quoted based off what I said in my email and made the entire process so simple. With all the other companies, they immediately redirected me to a form to fill out which required uploading a dozen photos. Those companies felt more impersonal and it felt like they didn't even read my original email. That's the primary reason I decided to go with LumiSOL. They made everything so simple from the beginning and responded appropriately which I really respected. They were able to come install just a few days later and Leo was so sweet and friendly. The day after our installation, I'm a happy customer. We hired Lumisol to install electric vehicle supply equipment ("charger") in our garage. The owner, Leopoldo, goes by the nickname "Polo." He is a both warm-and-friendly and technically competent. I'm a tech hobbyist/nerd, so I had a clear idea of the final configuration that (I thought) I wanted. Polo made some suggestions that would "future-proof" our installation. His ideas were better, so that's the way we went. Polo and his crew installed a Tesla Wall Connector and made sure that it was connected to our Wi-Fi and its software was updated. They also installed an outlet for our future second EV. Polo is THE MAN! My cousin had his charger installed with Polo a few years back and he highly recommended him. The only thing was that Polo is mainly based in the Peninsula, so it was hard to get an appointment with him bc I live in the East Bay. I researched some EV installers on this side and even got a few quotes but Polo by far had the most reasonable price! Something also told me to trust my cousin and wait on Polo. So I did, and boy did I make the right choice! Polo was very professional and knowledgeable. I found Polo through my neighbor who had him come in for a consultation on a wall charger installation. I stopped him as he was leaving and asked if he can give me a quote for our install. He happily took time to look at the work for our house. Polo from Lumisol did the installation for our Tesla charging needs. He installed a Nema 14-50 outlet on a 40 amp breaker on our house and on my sister's house nearby. He also did the wall charger installation for my neighbor all on the same day. The installation was done quickly and cleanly. He used a 6 gauge wire for wiring. He mentioned that he worked for Tesla previously and his experience showed with the installation. While all of my other calls got rolled into voice messages, Polo answered my line and immediately offered to do a quote call via video. Requested installation of a level 2 ChargePoint Home Flex hardwired charger and whole house surge protector. LumiSOL collected all the necessary information and perfectly handled the complex and lengthy permit application process in my city. All this was done online via photos and emails. Once the permit had been obtained Polo came out and did a very nice install and included a GFCI breaker rated to ensure I can use the full capacity of the charger to get the fastest possible charge speed with current and future vehicles. After the install was done we scheduled the inspection. A week later Polo came back and waited for the inspection which passed first time with no changes required. First time using polo for my electricity needs. In this case installing Tesla wall connector in my garage. My panel is about 90-100 ft away from garage. He was able to put conduit up attic and into garage. Did it in one day by himself! 10a-6p. One man team, wow! Good job done esthetically and technically. Also moved a few of my breakers to make room for the 50a circuit. That was what fits in my 125amp panel. Lumisol recently installed an outside EV charger for my home and I couldn't have asked for better service. I have a 40 year old main electrical panel that needed to be reworked to handle the new service. Polo figured out how to do this, thus avoiding the great expense of a new service panel. He answered all my questions about how this would work, as I had some concerns. The work involved running the new cabling from the outside main panel back through a wall with conduit running about 50 ft under the house through a small crawl space to the spot the Wallbox charger was installed.
