I had almost fooled myself into believing that they were toast and that was a good enough reason for me to go in debt and replace them. After speaking with my man Javi (Store manager) I decided to allow Luminex the opportunity to bring them back to life with a new gun metal powder coat with clear. Might as well go ahead and have them put some Candy Apple Red on the brake calipers while exposed. Couldn't be more happy with the finish product. I had an appointment on a Saturday morning at Alpha (sister shop) but when I arrived, it was closed. I texted the main number and got an immediate call back from Mo over at Luminex who apologized and ask me to come to the Luminex shop and they would get me taken care of. The shops are within a mile of each other so no trouble at all. I purchased a Groupon for the Nano Ceramic on the front two windows. I saw a previous review that stated Groupons can only be used during the week. I did not have this experience. There were no issues using it at all. Note: Groupons are good for I believe 35% tinting. You can upgrade this for$50. Mo was great in showing me all options and even let me look through the back windows of his car so I could see the amount of light blockage. It was overcast at the time so it was super helpful because it made me realize, what I wanted to do for my back windows would be much too dark for my vision issues and night time driving. He wasn't pushy or tried to upsell aggressively as some places normally would. In the end, I decided to only do my front windows and windshield to start with. I wanted all windows to be uniform so did 20% on the front windows to match the back, 70% on the windshield and added a 5% strip in the top 6 inches of the windshield. Great news is that there's a 3 year warranty! So I was able to purchase worry free! The windshield was $175 and the added strip was $50. The prices are great in comparison to what I've paid for tinting on other SUVs. From the outside it looks excellent. From the inside you definitely feel the temperature and light difference. Right now it still needs to cure so there are some blurry spots but I was assured with leaving it in the sun for as long as I can this would clear up. Tips I was given was to not roll the windows down, don't use the defroster, and only use the foot level AC for a few days. It's also really nice they placed a DO NOT ROLL DOWN sticker across the window buttons as a reminder. If the tinting doesn't clear up, I'll comeback and amend the review but I have all faith that they will be great! Thanks, Mo! Do not get your windows tinted here, They will not honor your lifetime warranty without an receipt from years ago. They do not keep track and it's on the customer. My windows where done in 2022, was not told about the original receipt forever. Be aware and keep in mind it would not be problem it they used good tint. read more

This Company sold us a bad ds18 AMPLIFIER that was faulty. They said that they had replaced it, but the amp they allegedly replaced, continued to randomly shut off. So, they never actually replaced our AMP, which means that they were dishonest in their services. We had someone to go behind their work and they agreed that the DS18 AMP WAS A PIECE OF SHIT. We replaced the Amp and we are back thumping again. I will not ever do business with them in the NEAR future. DO NOT PURCHASE A DS18 AMP FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! They sell bad AMPLIFIERS. read more

I visited Luminex to get my windows tinted. I've always hated people looking over at me at red lights, so it's been long overdue. They had a deal on Groupon ($150 w/ sale code) & I felt obligated to partake, especially once I saw the good reviews. Unfortunately, something they don't tell you on the Groupon fine print, is that THAT deal can ONLY be used on the weekday. I work during the week, so my hopes were to come in on a Saturday, but when I tried to schedule it, I was told that wouldn't be the case. Appointment: I eventually sent an appointment for the end of the day on a Friday. My appointment was at 4:30pm. I arrived at 4:35pm & the guy was outside to wave me in the shop. I was then seated in their lounge area. It took about two hours for 5 windows to be tinted. I paid a little extra to get the tint 20% as opposed to the Groupon offer of 35%. The Lounge: Because it was the end of the day, I feel like we missed out. There's a popcorn machine, but it was empty for the evening customers. The TV was also off, which forced you to either sit in silence or put on headphones: I went the headphone route. They did offer a space heater, which I thoroughly appreciate as I'm cold natured & it was freezing outside. The Service: The guys in there were real cool & friendly. Overall, these guys did a good job. Definitely a good value for the tinting I received. I'd definitely recommend & will visit in the future for other work. read more

I had my windows tinted here. Then came back to have the tint strip installed on my windshield. The tint strip began to unravel, I contact them using the one the business card gave the make and model of my car and the year; also gave my name somebody finally text me back after some hours. I call nobody answers, when I hang up someone text me and said he/or she will call me back. Nobody returned my call. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE! Poor customer service, and don't stand by their own service and policy. Taking my car somewhere else to get the job done right. Finally, guy name Moe text me. I made a 1:00 p.m. appointment arrived at 12:45 they took possession of my truck at 12:50. As I sat there are the waiting room got full and fuller and the temperature in the room got hotter and hotter. Yep you guessed it AC's busted!! And to just live in the moment even more the employees decided to get in a circle and pass a big Bob Marley hooter filling the already stale air in the waiting room.One customer that arrived after me received his range Rover and left.... And then another customer receives her little Honda SUV and she left... Going on 5:00 now people! A 1979 Chevrolet C10 truck basically flat glass and it took them 5 hours to tint the windows half-assed now mind you the half-assed tinted them. I had it I went confronted the manager he told me everything had to be hand cut they told me they had a machine to cut the stuff..."oh the wing vet latches we had to hand cut the material out for the latch". DO NOT COME HERE. This is not a professional place. This is a DIY place. $150 for calipers painted? A little too good to be true, I'm wondering their process. As excited as I am for thinking I found a great deal, let me ask some questions before dropping my car off. "How is your painting process, do you powder coat?" "Will the Porsche stencil be a sticker or painted on?" "Do you remove the caliper when painting or do you use heat resistant paint?" My conclusion of all of the very one they've answered, and the rest was ignored or had to go consult someone else before answering to me....was they have no idea what they're doing. Just a bunch of people hoping they can scam jdm enthusiasts who have no knowledge on any of this. You're better off doing plastidipping your own wheels for $40 yourself than to bring your car here! -- and a side note to luminex lighting, please don't think I don't know anything about cars when I'm a girl. Went for a bulb replacement. Messed up my whole headlight, now the auto on does not work and the replacement bulb also flickers and does not turn on until I turn it on and off multiple times. What can I say, customer service actually really top of the line, excellent! I can probably give 5 stars when it comes to the customer services, great folks! I gave 2 stars becuase of the product quality. I had my HID headlights installed last year. I returned to them 3 times to changed my light bulbs and twice to change my ballast in a year. Yesterday, 1 ballast and 1 light bulb are toast/broken, so i need to change it again but not from them. In short, their product is not good quality. They need to find a better supplier for the ballast and light bulb. read more

This is my favorite shop to come to. I literally drove all the way from Texas just to have some work done from Luminex Lighting! I got tint done on my windows and it looks sooo amazing. Ahhh finally two years later. I was always so hesitant on getting "any tint job done" at any other place but never had the time. I waited for the perfect time to come down from Texas so they could get the work done. And I'm already on my way back up. Also, I scheduled an appointment and they had so many customers! Came here to fix my amplifier and wiring to my speakers in my Lexus IS250, my inside lighting were messed with causing them to not turn on when I got my car back, I told him about it to see if he just unplugged anything cause my car is electric he's the last person to touch any wires and the man refused to fix a problem he caused. Then they tried to charge me more money because I got 20% tint. Said Groupon only allows 35%. He told me none of this before hand. Okay this is going to be a long one but i hope people read this and think twice about coming here! About a year ago i came here hoping to get some mods done to my 2012 camaro (underglow, headlights, tail lights, interior dashboard lighting etc) after all was said and done i was not over charged and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately good attitudes don't make great workers.. these people seem absolutely clueless when it comes to installation of lighting. A few weeks after i had the work done my car starts acting up. Headlights keep going out out of nowhere. Take it back to shop and they were able to fix the problem by replacing the bulbs.. leave and about another 2 days later. Light bulb goes out again. I take it back for a 3rd time and he says its no big deal. Fixes it again. Now fast forward about a month later and my car is glitching with the CEL on the dashboard (check engine light) and i didn't think much of it until i went to a car shop and they told me my ECU had been fried in my car. I had to pay 1200$ for the replacement and guess what, my car STILL DID NOT WORK after. Electrical was still acting funny and left me stranded at 3 AM at a friends residence 45 min from where i live. Took it to 4 different car shops after it got towed (Literally) and not one place could figure out how to fix it and they all pointed to the ECU. My car was permanently damaged and i tried for months to fix the problem. The CEL would always come on and off everyday and my car always stalled out at random times and wouldn't come on for minutes to hours. I recently sold the car because it got so bad, thankfully i got lucky the CEL turned off when i took it to the car shop and they allowed me to trade it in for a new car. Save your time, money, and car because this place doesn't seem professional enough!! read more

They did an awesome job on my window tint, but did an even better job with my Plasti Dip. I have a 2014 Range Rover Sport and hd them plasti dip the grill, logo's, rims, and some trim. They also painted my calipers and did some additional ad libs as well. GREAT job all the way around, wish I could post pictures to prove it. read more

I was going to purchase the groupon special they offered (2 front windows $50) but I had some questions on it so I called them, They informed me the the cost would is only for the 35% tint and if wanted 20% it would be an additional $20. I told them that was fine and when could I come down. He informed me to come in 30 minutes and not to purchase the groupon and just pay the $70 when I arrive. All was good until I arrived and I entered the lobby and nobody came out for about 10 minutes. Finally I was greeted by the older gentleman (late 50's) who looked like he was in an episode of 60 minutes to catch a predator. He asked me what I wanted and I informed him I was the one who just called to get my windows tinted. He got really rude and just didn't want my business. He asked me who I spoke to what time did I have my appointment. I told him I didn't get the persons name but he told me to come now. After more groaning to himself he ask me what type of tint I wanted. I told him 20% on the two front windows. He told me it would be $90 and then I told him about the groupon special and how the person I spoke to said the total would be $70. He said he was wrong but if I was going to cry about it he would do it for $70. I immediately said I am not crying about the price but you shouldn't inform your customers of something and get mad with them when they question it. He said do I want to do it or not. I grabbed my keys from him and told him I wouldn't let him touch the hair on my b@lls. I really hope this freak is the owner of the company as if not he is losing customers for the business.
