Really nice staff, great breakfast thoughtful servers. Everything thing was terrific.

I'm hit and miss on this. As stated in my prior review, it's really 3.5 stars. I'd round up if they made more dressings in house. They have such a large menu but perhaps it makes sense to shrink that a bit and focus on freshness instead. For any brunch spot, salads are going to be a focal point but they only make one dressing in house. The Caesar is not made in house. Their portions are very large, too large in fact. My suggestion would be to minimize the menu and portion sizes but up the freshness of ingredients and it would be a home run. My two favorite dishes are the smoked salmon and the Greek salad. These are both very good. Some of the other dishes I've had have just been average. The owner is very attentive though and always asks how everything was at the end of your meal, which I appreciate. Their mimosa is okay but the bloody is not very good. It's not a bad option but I think there are other spots that are similar and for them to fill the gap I wanted them to, more items need to be from scratch. read more

I really want to like this place but after trying it twice, both times being extremely disappointing, I will not be back. First, their coffee is not hot. From the first full cup to each time they came by and topped it off, it was barely warm. I expect coffee to be hot; again, not even close to hot. I ordered different things both times I went. The first, a skillet, was just ok. The next time, I ordered an omelet which came with potatoes on the side. It seemed as if the omelet wasn't completely cooked. Part of the reason might be because just like the coffee, it was barely warm!! And not just the omelet but the potatoes weren't warm either. I'm done with this place. For my hard earned $21 spent for breakfast, I'll go to someplace that serves hot coffee and food. read more

This a nice place. Food is excellent and the service is good. I had a avocado breakfast, good My son a bacon, sausage skillet with toast, really really good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

If you're looking for a place to catch Covid, this is it. The hostess was wearing a mask, but several of the servers, and especially those that brought out the food, had their masks on their chins, exposing their nose and mouth. I am not sure how you can define that as mask wearing. Terrible. Stay away. Oh, and Joe says, "My guess is they don't even wash their hands." read more

To be honest I had a terrible experience here. We went because they said they were limiting capacity because of COVID but every table was full. Only some servers were wearing masks and they let customers in without them as well. I didn't feel safe at all. I ordered the stuffed French toast which was dry and actually pretty flavorless. I would not recommend read more

Lumes Brunch Cafe - Corn beef hash, french fries, eggs and pancakes - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Willowbrook, Illinois

The atmosphere is nice and customer service is good, the food is bland. I ordered an scrambler with peppers and mushrooms and it had no flavor. The pancakes tasted like they were frozen pancakes. I would have rather eaten eggo frozen pancakes. read more

The food was great! I just wish they had combo meals. I had a waffle, and I had to get bacon and eggs as sides. I wish they'd have pancake and waffle combos like other breakfast restaurants do. Other than that, service was great and fast. Definitely will return again. read more

Brand New, I love this modern breakfast and lunch location. It has trendy menu choices, and a mimosa to have while enjoying brunch. My server was Kathy, I must say, about the best server I have ever had, clearly experienced, very friendly also. My new go to place. The windows are tinted, don't fool yourself, the place is open. read more

It was a standard run of the mill diner but with above average cleanliness and food quality. Stopped in here before heading to the airport to travel home from a business trip and it was a great spot to fill up before a long flight. Loved the hospitality and service. Would stop in again if I am in the area again. read more

We ate here Easter weekend and absolutely loved it! The waitresses we encountered were both really lovely and helpful. We felt a little squished at our first table so she happily moved us to a better spot. My husband and I asked what she would recommend as the best, and also mentioned we didn't know what a Dutch Baby was (other than the reference made in a Bob's Burgers episode ). She explained it to us and recommended that and also the oven baked pancake. The menu indicated that we would have to wait for a while for it to be cooked but she also reminded us to make sure we wouldn't mind. Boy were they both worth the wait!!! These were both excellent and items you can't find in many places. The others in our party had omelettes and both were also great! We've been to other Lumes locations and have always been happy. The new location is as wonderful as the others! read more

Best brunch ever!!! Salads are excellent!!! Everything is so fresh there. Servers are awesome, everything is so good there.

Came here for breakfast/lunch while out shopping. This place recently opened and we wanted to check it out. I ordered the traditional eggs benedict. While the Canadian bacon was nice and thickly sliced, the hollandaise sauce was meh -- couldn't taste any lemon in it at all, and it looked as if it were going to separate at any moment. Probably made from a packaged mix, or maybe it was even pre-made. Definitely not made from scratch. DD ordered a panini -- it was good and enough for two people. The third in our party ordered a Denver omelette and it was the size of a small football -- a bit much! The potatoes that came on the side of the breakfast dishes were okay. There were few people in this place. It did not feel very inviting, although it was clean and the service was very good. I'll have to come back again and give it another try sometime, but at this moment, there are other breakfast/lunch places in the area that have a more appealing menu and ambiance. read more

Great food. Their breakfast sandwich, apple French toast, friendly staff n good service. A little on the pricey side, but it's ok.

Excellent cafe. Great Service, great food, clean and COVID safety measures were present. My wife and I are very selective with service, food and cleanliness and Lumes checks off all the boxes. My wife and I both recommend Lumes. read more

The food is fabulous!! Ask for Christian- he is an amazing server and a super sweet guy. Will definitely be back :)

Higher-end prices for average to below average food quality. Bacon was dry(probably pre-cooked and then just warmed up), "freshly squeezed orange juice" was probably squeezed earlier and refrigerated and then served. Hash browns were bland. Decor is on a modern style with no personal touches. Fork was not entirely clean. Very nice service can not compensate for high prices, poor food quality and no character place. I really do not know who is giving all this high reviews. read more

I'm not a breakfast person but my family loves it so here I am. I had the chicken panini. It wasn't bad but nothing to get excited over. Chicken soup was average. 2 others with me weren't overly theilled read more

One of the best breakfast places around!!! Fantastic food and great staff. Very clean!

Very friendly staff. Pretty mediocre food. Most people could whip up what they make and do it for much cheaper. Also, charging extra for 100% maple syrup is bizarre. read more

The food is excellent, the people are friendly and their prices are fair. Prices have gone up everywhere, this is the new normal. I am glad Lumes has very good service and staff that makes you feel welcome. Everyone has different tastes and likes, no one restaurant will be able to please everyone and every dish be perfect but I sure appreciate Lumes effort to make sure your plate is to your liking and you are satisfied with their service. I highly recommend Lumes Is a nice comfortable place with nice people and good food. read more

I really wanted to love Lumes but, unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere is modern, and the menu had lots of options. I ordered an omelette with spinach, mushroom, and feta which comes with toast and a side of "fresh potatoes ". The meal was very bland and extremely overpriced! I will, however, compliment the jam that came with the toast...it was delicious! I will probably not revisit Lumes since there are so many other brunch options in the area. read more

I have dined in at this location several times, and have never been disappointed. They have an amazing selection of food and exceptional, fast service. If you're looking for a modernized brunch restaurant with amazing food and staff, definitely give Lumes a try! read more

Very good, although significantly more expensive than Blueberry Hill or Patti's Sunrise nearby. Nice open space. Food was very good, as was the service, although a little slow due to the large crowds that were waiting. They have only been open for about a month, so it'll take them some time for their kitchen to get their "mojo" to handle large crowds. We'll go back soon. read more

Lumes is the first breakfast and brunch place I've ever loved the first time in. I ordered the Belgian waffle (super fluffy, amazing butter, and hit and fresh) with a side of Canadian bacon. No crappy little plate with just one round piece of bacon, they gave 3 HUGE pieces. Good pricing too. I also had the waffle fries which are to die for. Crispy and hot. The potato and leek soup was amazing. We will definitely be coming back. I would've had pictures but I ate everything too quickly. read more

Hubby and I have been waiting for this to open. It finally did and we were both disappointed. It took a really long time to get our food, my husband's order was wrong and the fries were cold. I had eggs Benedict and paid extra to get fruit instead of hash browns. I got a slice of cantaloupe, honeydew and pineapple. No berries and not cut up just plopped on the plate. Hollandaise was curdled and eggs over cooked. Overpriced and a very limited menu. read more

Service was good and the food came out quickly. The pancakes were a bit bland and not that fluffy. Skillet was fine but not extraordinary read more

Love this breakfast place! My husband daughter and I frequent this place quite a bit , and the staff is super friendly (like family) and food is always fresh. I feel compelled to write after seeing a few of these bad reviews! This place is down the street from my office and so far we've had nothing but great experiences!!! Their salads are amazing and fresh. I had a Blt and have been craving it since. Their French fries were the best I've ever had. Take out orders were accurate and everything is clean and fresh. Would highly recommend! I do wish they were open for dinner a couple days a week though. read more

The power spinach salad is one of the best salads I have ever had! I will definitely be back here for lunch just to have that salad again. I have also been here a few times for breakfast and it was just so so in terms of the food and service. It's solid and fine, but nothing special. read more

Good food, fast friendly service. The space is bright and refreshing. We will be back for sure.

nice and beautiful art deco restaurant extremely friendly service samantha our waitress made our experience delightful the only complaint was how small the proportions were we ordered four different dishes the omelette tiny compared to other restaurants and the most disappointed was the large baked apple pancake we ordered on the phone not only was small it was given to another customer we had to wait an additional 35 minutes it was no fault the waitress we still gave her 25% tip my complaint was we usually go to sanders / sally/ alexanders /original pancake house we know what a apple pancake should look like and sizewise what we paid for should've been charged for a medium the management knew of our situation and nothing i mean nothing was done except for we sorry this is my first and only time coming to this restaurant we have been to lumes on 126th and harlem many of times there apple pancakes r much much larger!!!!!! read more

Amazing food!! Awesome service!! Went on a Sunday Morning nice and quiet great family place

they messed up THREE things about our order, but it was a really busy day (seemed to be eid, so definitely more busy than they typically handle), so i don't blame them. as far as the food, it was fine. if i happened to be in the area and wanted some brunch, i wouldn't MIND eating there, but it's nothing i'll go specifically back for. i got a sandwich but didn't think to ask for it toasted (my fault, though, lol!)... the fries were really delicious, though - the potatoes were great and perfectly salted read more

Finally a good option for brunch around my house! Been there twice and while its not revolutionary, it is really, really, really good. Good pancakes, good syrup, solid eggs (albeit cheesy), sign me up! read more

We have eaten here twice. It's a nice, clean modern space in a small strip of stores built in the Pete's Freshmarket parking lot. Nice selection of menu items. Friendly staff. Food is quite good, with generous portions. And I have to say their coffee, both decaf and regular, is exceptionally good. Most breakfast places have fairly weak coffee, not Lumes. Rich, flavorful, and hot: really fantastic! We had the Mayan omelette with chorizo and the corned beef hash both with pancakes. Both were excellent. I wanted a meat lovers skillet, which was not on the menu, which is hashbrowns sauteed with ham, bacon and breakfast sausage in an individual skillet, topped with cheese and eggs done your way but it wasn't a menu item. They did have a meat lovers scrambler which was scrambled eggs with all those things mixed in, but I prefer my eggs over easy, and the waitress said they could make the scrambler as a skillet! They did and it was Wonderful! I had mine with Texas/Greek toast, the slices were huge and tasty. Haven't tried any lunch items yet, but we will definitely be back! read more
