I really wanted to like this place but was disappointed. I tried the macarons in strawberry cheesecake, apricot, and cookies and crème. Although the macaron cookie tasted good and had a light texture, the flavor of the filling in each one tasted exactly the same and generic. I couldn't really taste any strawberry or apricot flavor in those macarons and the cookies and crème just tasted plain. I also got some cake pops and the Dubai chocolate as well in both flavors. The cake pops were extremely sweet and neither one of my kids wanted to finish them. The chocolate was unique but the pistachio was very bland to me and the biscoff flavor was a little better. I had to update my review to 4 stars for their keto desserts, bc they were super good! 3 stars for the cake pops, wish they had more chocolate cake options (they only have ONE, I don't count red velvet as chocolate). Finding places that actually have keto dessert options is almost impossible! It can be a hassle making your own desserts and sometimes you don't want a whole batch. This place uses swerve sweetener. I was really excited when I saw they had a few different options to choose from including: Fat bombs, cheesecake, bars, brownies, and ice cream. Today I got a peanut butter chocolate chip fat bomb ($2) and a magic bar ($3). They also will tell you how many net carbs are in each dessert! The peanut butter fat bomb was nice and creamy and very tasty! As for the magic bar...it was magical! I loved everything about it. This was an amazing day Used yelp to find a new sushi spot that was a hidden diamond and also found the most amazing cake pop shop! Oh but is gets better I am now eating a cinnamon roll that a customer (a regular) purchased for me without me knowing after we had a relaxing conversation while waiting to be served. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! So YUMMY!!!! But I had to eat it in two sittings Now let's get to the cake pops! I got 2 of every flavor they had and I am so happy I did. Spoiler: 3 stars for taste but another star for special prices ($1 weekends) and varitey in flavors. We took part in the $1 cake pop Saturdays and was not expecting a line. Silly me with an amazing deal like that of course there is! We got one of almost every cake pop flavor offered that saturday ( they have a nice amount). Seeing unique flavors like snickers, twix, cookies and cream, and white chocolate raspberry was so exciting! Normally they are priced $2.50 each but on the weekends they have $1 specials. They also offer mini conchas, decorated sugar cookies, oreo gems, maracons, and flavored cinnamon rolls. Taste: The texture of the cake pops were decent. They weren't as fluffy as I hoped for but still decent overall. They were a bit too sweet for me and my boyfriend. However I did like the fact we had a wide variety of flavors to choose from. The cinnamon rolls were not my favorite. They were way to sweet and small in size. They were not as soft as I was expecting even though we came not too long after them opening. Overall: Basing off the two desserts that I tried the cinnamon roll and the cake pops, I do think they were both too sweet. I honestly prefer Starbucks for the cake pops and Cinnabon for the cinnamon rolls more. Based on taste then I would give it 3 stars but they gain another star for the special deals they have and their flavors. I personally would only participate during their weekend specials. I personally didn't care for this place. We went here since they kept promoting they made the viral Dubai chocolate bars. I bought 4 at $8 a piece. They tasted old, stale and bland. I also bought 3 cake pops in the flavors of lemon, strawberry and cookie dough. The lemon and strawberry cake pops had a horribly artificial and overly sweet taste. What bothered me most wasn't the less than mediocre desserts, it was the lady at the front. She was not pleasant and barely greeted me, Gave me my total and didn't say thank you or anything else that is normally said when you ring up at a cash register. Personally, I wouldn't want someone whose hair looked like they just rolled out of bed servicing me and with a bad attitude at that. Gorgeous cake pops and worth the price. There is always a new rotation of cake pops (I just bought Christmas ones) and they taste just as good as they look. So I'm really torn. We have tried some good things from Lulupops like their hot chocolate bombs and some of their cake pops. As well we tried an Elvis cinnamon roll that was to die for ... peanut butter and chocolate if I remember correctly. Though sometimes, particularly with the cinnamon rolls if you fall in love with a particular kind and want it again you'd either need to special order or hope they make it again because there have been a few that seemed one time make and done as we never saw them again. Staff is lovely and they offer $1 deals on Saturday but there is usually a line Saturday due to the deals. A few items are not that much more expensive on a regular day though if you don't want to wait in line. Prices are generally good though some specialty items like the hot chocolate bombs can be $6 a pop. Which are really cute and love them, totally worth the trying out ... but could get pricey if your buying for multiple kids. Though I will say we came in last week and ordered an Halloween item, a pumpkin shaped dipped Oreo that was supposed to be half off due to it being left over from Halloween but still rang up $4! So I'm not sure if it's really expensive or they just didn't apply the discount so I'll take a stab that they just didn't apply the discount. Though we have had things we have absolutely regretted getting like the dipped items, pretzels/Oreos, and gems. I think we're just not fans of the frosting is the best term I can come up with that they use. It left a weird flavor and even texture in our mouths that didn't go away with drinking water and only was better after brushing our teeth or eating something else with an opposite extreme taste/texture. There have been 1-2 flavors of cake pops or macaroons that we tried as well that we didn't like but those we let slide to preference. I'm not really sure what drove me to go to LuluPops last year but I'm glad I did! I live in Irving and barely go to Arlington but will make my way out there for her yummy cinnamon rolls. I'm one who doesn't change flavors if I love a specific one and those plain ol' cinnamon rolls are TDF! We have bought massive amounts of macaroons for parties and Lina is so helpful with how to take care of them so we can keep the freshness.. she truly loves what she does and you can tell. I decided to read reviews after the fact and agree the cinnamon rolls were small in size and not as soft and fluffy as I would've expected them to be. We received some pretty small macaroons as well. Very disappointed with the customer service. It was our first time visiting. I was looking for a place to order treats for my daughter's first birthday. We were the only customers in the store and I felt very rushed when trying to select our cake pop flavors. I had a 4yr old and a 10 month old on my hip. Things don't always go quickly for us, if you know what I mean. Anyway, the girl behind the counter had no patience and was not friendly. She wasn't rude at all, just not friendly or welcoming. Lastly, it's a bummer that they have an allergy alert for peanuts because everything is cooked in the same kitchen. Again, when they were explaining it I felt like it was such an inconvenience that they had to stop and explain the actual exposure to the allergy. My god sister posted a link to this bakery so I decided to check it out. I am in LOVE with this place! The macaroons are delicious. I use to drive out to Dallas but why go there when there's one closer? I love the pistachio macaroons. I still have not tried the other ones I bought. The cotton candy was interesting too. Short answer: nope not impressed The experience: I come in on a Wednesday at 5 pm and take a quick glance and it looks really cute. The decor from the outside windows to the decor inside very cute. I'm excited! But as I step into the shop I see my selection is basically non existent. Hardly anything to choose from, with lots of space empty in the cake pop case. So they do have a lot to offer but at this point in the day I mean I get it, it's 5pm. I'm thinking everything has been bought picked over during the start of the day to midday. No problem. I scan my small window of choices. By this time a the young girl comes out from the back and has a attitude like it's almost closing time and she just wants to hurry with my order and be done. I, like I usually do, stay pleasant and happy and try to change the situation with a smile and good tone. Nope. She made me feel like she was a doctor that was WAY to busy with tons of appointments, you know that feeling. That feeling of I have somewhere else I need to be so let's hurry this along. So I'm thinking this place has 1 more hour left to be open! Good luck to the next poor customer that comes in! This is the worst attitude for any business to have, period! If your employee is giving off this kind of energy, then who wants cake pops? Not me from this place that's for sure. If we (as customers) are dropping money on any place, employees get it together and act accordingly! Act like you care about the product you're selling AND the customer! At that point I was just wanting to leave. She quickly swiped my card and I was out the door. Not a good transaction feeling at all. On the cake pop note: it's good. Great no. The Twix one is good. They have their regular prices which are still very affordable. The macarons are my favorite though! They are a good size and the sizing is a little off but that doesn't stop me from them! This beats driving all the way to Carrollton and purchasing dime size macarons for $2. The shop is a little small and can get crowded with just a few people waiting. They don't have any music that plays in the background so you're patiently waiting for your turn in silence. But I love this place. Cute local business that has an supporting fb community and it's easy to see why. The store is small but very cute and open feeling on the inside, the menu is easy to eat, the pastries are easy to see and the staff is friendly. I read on FB that Lulupops was going to have a sale for $1.00 cake pops this past Saturday and I wanted to try some out after reading some of the comments on their FB page. Lina offers around 9 different flavors options and always is coming up with new flavors (makes you want to keep coming back to try them). We are coming from the Grapevine area so it took us nearly 45 mins to get there because we had to wait for my baby to wake from his nap, landing us in the evening traffic rush. Without the insane traffic it should have only taken us 35 mins. We decided on two of every flavor since we wanted to really see all their flavors and what they can do. We actually got to our car after buying two of each and decided to go get two more of all of them since our drive was nuts and it really was a good deal. I started keto a while ago and my sweet tooth has suffered because i don't have a knack for baking regular goods and DEFINITELY can't make alternative, keto treats I randomly found this place on Yelp and thank goodness I did because this place, the owner, and the goods are more than i could have hoped for! The owner was sooooo sweet-- we chatted for like 15 mins even though it was close to closing for her and I'm sure she was ready to go. She gave me awesome tips and encouragement about keto and dieting in general. She's also done it and she looks GREAT! I bought four of the keto bars and two of the fat bombs.
