Let me preface this review by saying I am a dyed in the wool Lululemon fan - it's the only athletic wear I've owned for the last 15-20 years. That's why it kills me to say I am Very disappointed in Lululemon's quality these days. The leggings I recently purchased, the fabric which they describe as being super soft, are soft but they are also way too thin, stretchy, baggy, and the pockets are already stretching out - 3 wks in. Unfortunately, it's too late to return them. The current version of the relaxed swift long sleeve shirts is very disappointing as well. I've been a big fan of the relaxed version since it came out but the quality of the most recent version - from the fabric to the fit - is pretty awful as well. It's clear while prices in some cases remain the same but in most have increased, the quality has taken a nosedive. read more

This used to be a pleasant place to shop but it is all pushy now. The clothes you try on are not what is sent in an order.I got some sleazy cheap tops that did not fit. Along time ago this company stopped having standard sizes. you better stock up if something fits. The goofy-looking clerk was too busy spouting off to someone to be nice to me. She tried to shoved a bag at me and sniffed we do not recycle so don't try it--like this is a badge of honor? Oh, well, the clothes do not compost either but find something that fits and the synthetics last forever. And if like to be snubbed, continue shopping here. I went to this place a few weeks ago with my nana! The people there were so kind and helpful, and helped me find the perfect size! I also saw them helping another lady because she was heading on a trip! Definitely recommend! If you don't want to go on a busy day we went on a Friday around 10:00 and there was only about 5 people there! Not busy at all, I'm sure it is on weekends though haha! They had a nice selection of clothes as well! They had a lot more to pick from, compared to the mall! Though they have high prices the clothes are definitely worth it. read more

From the moment I walked in seeking help with a somewhat complicated return, to the dressing room, then finally to checkout all three of the ladies that were working today were absolute sweethearts and very knowledgeable. This is my favorite location in NC! I love shopping here because I know the process will be easy going, I'll leave help when I need it, and I'll also have a few great conversations with the beautiful personalities employed at this location. Once you get over the fact that outfitting your entire closet in Lululemon would require a second mortgage, you'll be delighted to find that their clothes are really fantastic. While Lululemon probably does a better job of catering to women, there are plenty of things for active boys in there as well. A few observations. * Lululemon is a Canadian chain, so I'm naturally predisposed to like it. * Women _always_ look good in Lululemon clothes. I'm not sure it's cosmically possible for a women to attire herself in clothes from Lululemon and not look like a knockout. * The whole yoga thing is a healthy trend. As much as I normally dislike it when stores subsume something (like yoga) and turning it into a huge part of their marketing, I think it works well here. Lululemon is selling a healthy lifestyle, and while you don't need their clothes to live that lifestyle, I have learned that the right clothes can make the experience more enjoyable. You have got to love going to lululemon. I made an expected trip to the store last year not knowing it even existed and then I was hooked. They sell yoga inspired clothes for both men and women. The sales staff are the most friendly people you will meet. At lululemon they also plan fun filled activities. The day I was there they said that later that night they were having a candlelit yoga session at night and asked me to just show up. I figured, why not, I didn't have anything else to do, and I had never done yoga before so why not try it. lululemon has free yoga sessions every Sunday, and they even provide a loaner mat if you need one. They even have snacks at times if there are other events planned around it. At night they also had wine, cheese, etc when I went. I suggest giving lululemon a shot and check out their full schedule of activities, just save me a spot for yoga classes. read more

Terrible store customer service after browsing the store for 20 minutes and no one spoke to us. I had a few things I had picked up, I ended up putting those back. I had a pair of leggings that I brought back in to exchange out for the quality promise return. They would not except them, even though they were bought in October within in the year. They had extreme piling, very worn, and stretched out. The lady would not except them and said they would depil them for me. This is a quality promise they make, which is why I decided to give it a try. If you want to try it, don't try it out at this location. read more

Like a successful crazy woman on a mission, I emphatically declared, "I want yoga pants and I want to look rich and cute." The saleswomen laughed, they got my twisted, (said in jest) vain desire, "Oh it's Lululemon - it screams money." In reality, I had gotten a slight raise and naturally I wanted to spend it, all of it, on one pair of $98-makes-my-axx-and-thighs-look-fabulous pair of yoga pants. I LOVE them; in fact I'm wearing them right now, literally. I fell in love with Lululemon gear in grad school when I did a free yoga class at the San Diego store, but couldn't fathom paying the champagnish $98 for workout pants on my $9 Target specials beer budget at the time. The Raleigh store is decidedly smaller with a sparse selection, but the space nonetheless is airy and open. They just need to increase their inventory and selection and this store would totally rock! I came in to the North Hill's Lululemon store after deciding I wanted to pick up some new sportswear, but was disappointed in the customer service. Coming from a retail background, I was always taught that a customer should always be greeted in the first 30 seconds upon arrival, but I wasn't acknowledged throughout my entire experience...despite being in the store for at least 5 minutes and the store having at least 2+ employees on floor. I understand employees can be busy with tasks, but once one of the employees noticed a "regular" customer come in, the employee made sure to give all their devoted attention to that customer, which, from another customer's standpoint, is not a good experience. I was disappointed in the experience because I was ready to make a purchase, but I'm not going to give a location my business if it's not deserving of it. read more

I am a HUGE fan of lululemon. I regularly stalk their website, and back in Austin they had a full shop where I could try on pretty much anything I saw online. The shop here in Raleigh is a lot smaller, and definitely limited in inventory. I hope it gets to expand! The store has a full schedule of events, so if you're in the area definitely check it out - go to their run club or their yoga sessions. This company's products are definitely a high quality, and the best way to say it is - I buy their running shorts exclusively over any other brand now because they make me feel like I'm not wearing any shorts at all. What that means is there is no longer any chafing, rubbing or discomfort in my life. My only wish is that they bring back their triathlon clothing. Check the place out, try on a couple of items, buy something here.. then go online since you know your size, and scope out the bigger selection. read more

This store is definitely pricey, but they had the best customer service that I have received in a very long time! They really want to understand what you're looking for and appreciate feedback about how items do or don't work for you. You can try on as many things as you would like and although the selection in the showroom is somewhat limited, they will happily make suggestions from the website/catalog. My cousin raves about the leggings from this place but has never been to the actual store, she always buys online. So I decided, before I buy $100 leggings that I wanted to try them on in the store. We went close to their closing time on Saturday night. When I walked in the employees were very attentive and friendly. I liked a lot of their stuff, the price is a bit steep but I knew that walking in. Something that was a little odd to me though, was the amount of young kids (around 10-12yo) that were in the store trying stuff on. I never even saw any parents. Kinda weird. West St. (not 117 as listed on yelp), they are in the same plaza as Blue Lotus Yoga studio. Stop by and become involved in their free yoga and run club! The company is fantastic, their people are so friendly and helpful, and they are reaching out to become more involved in this community! Did I mention how great their clothes are? I love Lululemon. I wasn't a fan until I finally tried out their pants. The large bands on the top really cinches the waist! I got the Dhasarana crop pants and scoop top in purple. I received compliments immediately when I went to my Bikram yoga class at Open Door. Five stars for quality of clothes (since that's really why we buy them, right?) Five stars for service. The assistant manager, Kathy, is a hilarious and sweet person. She's a great judge of what clothes to try on. She's one of those types of people that you feel like they are your best friend within the first five minutes of conversation. Five stars for community outreach. They do a good job in the community, offering free yoga classes, and free boot camp events. Five stars for facility. Clean, cute, and very hip. This is currently a showroom but I believe it will eventually turn into a store. read more

I love Lululemon and so happy they are finally in Raleigh. I have been a fan of this company for a few years now. Their clothes are the best I have ever worn while working out. The philosophy behind the company is amazing as they believe in giving back and making a statement in the community. The people that work in the store are also very friendly and helpful. I love the customer service which is so nice to see now days! They are also knowledgeable about all of the fitness classes in the area in case you are looking for a certain type of workout. I'm not even sure where to begin, but i used to love this store. I got several things for Christmas from Lululemon, and go into this store to return the things that didn't fit (with gift receipts), and was told that they screwed up and actually credited the card that it was purchased with instead of issuing me a gift card. I was then told that there was no way to reverse it that I would have to call the person that gave me the Christmas gifts and ask them to just give me cash (which I'm not sure who would ever do that)! Needless to say I just lost a lot of my Christmas present. I would be very careful especially when returning anything here!! read more

I came in here to get my shirt fixed that had gotten messed up in the washer and the lady named Yvonne I believe was very rude to me and basically insulted me because I had washed the shirt wrong. Being rude to me because I'm in college. She also was hemming my friends leggings and she told her not to wear the shoes that she was wearing with them. She kept on telling me that I don't know how to wash my clothes which yes I did wash it wrong but I don't think she should have been so rude horrible experience. All the other employees were very nice to me but she just drilled into me because of not washing my shirt correctly. I can thank Monica O for getting me hooked on Lululemon. We stopped in after lunch and I bought a set of running shorts and cool running top. The material they make these clothes out of are like nothing I've ever seen/felt before. The running shorts are stretchy in a way that isn't spandex-like. I ran my first 5-miler of the season and there was no chaffing at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Already ordered another pair from the website. Only downside, the clothes are more expensive than what I'm used to spending on exercise gear. A pair of shorts and top can easily come in around $120. I can understand why, being that they are such high quality but it's certainly cost prohibitive if you're looking to fill up your drawer all at once. read more

I have shopped at the North Hills Lululemon since it opened and love the clothes there. My daughters all love the comfort of the clothing and each time I have shopped, I have met with friendly and helpful staff. Having purchased some items online a couple of months ago, I had been delayed in returning a couple that I had decided against keeping because of ill health in the family. I received instructions from customer service on the method involved but decided to bring my returns to the store. There I met Jessica who listened to me and returned the items cheerfully. She could have done no better. She was compassionate as I shared with her my reason for the delay with the return. In my estimation Jessica is an exemplary representative for Lululemon and deserves recognition for her customer relationships. I will return to this shop again and again!!!! read more

I have a beloved pair of Juicy Couture velour pants that I do everything in -- lounging, dog-walking, sleeping, yoga. They were one of my first "designer" purchases, when in college, so they've been around a while. A year ago, the drawstring snapped... I threaded a shoelace through. Six months ago, the grommets came loose. Three months ago, a hole formed in a seam along the groin... I continued wearing them. But as the hole grew a little larger with each downward dog, I realized my dear pants were finally looking worse for the wear. I wanted to replace them with a pair I would love just as much... ones that might even out-survive the love, wear, and tear I put my Juicy's through. This was my first visit to lululemon... though I have a feeling it won't be my last. The staff was great from the get-go. Hubs was interested in a new mat, and they walked us through the selection, and the properties. I shopped the cubby-holes of pants, sorted into size and style in a very apparent and easy-to-understand way. Not sure I wast fully prepared to pay $100 for a pair of, essentially, gym pants. But when I slipped them on, I felt my butt and thighs were transformed. That's definitely worth my hundred bucks! They offer several fits -- the pair I have is a little snugger through the legs then I'm used to working out in. They're getting hemmed right now, so I haven't had a chance to test-drive them in yoga. But the material is great, and I'm sure it will move along with me. I also got a pair of cropped pants, made of tencel, on sale for $70. This material is much more lightweight, and feels very breathable. It has pockets, which I like, but they pooch a little bit... along with the gathered fabric at the front, it's not the most flattering look. But I have a feeling these will end up being my go-to for yoga, just because they're looser and feel easy to move freely in. I also got one of their grip mat toppers... made of porous tire material. It's heavy. But I'm told will do the trick in preventing slip-grip. Look forward to putting all my pieces in action! read more

Love their exercise clothing and their service at the store is amazing. Yes, it's expensive, but sometimes you truly do get what you pay for. I work out a lot (yoga, Zumba, Extend Barre, long-distance running and more!) and their clothes really hold up without fading/fraying/getting worn out. Their emphasis on community building is something that I like - the yoga classes on Sundays are always well-attended (hint - get there early for a prime spot) and they seem to practice what they preach, no pun intended. When I think about "cost per wear" and then factor in "joy per wear" and "I'm going to rock my work out per wear" their clothing prices seem manageable. Plus, when your work out clothes make you feel good and look good plus delivering excellent performance, it's a trifecta of happiness that leads to a great work out. read more

For those not in the know, Lululemon's marketing is sharp and unconventional. Lululemon has "local stores" where wellness and customer service are there to support local community. However, the real concept is to integrate the brand into the social community to sell more product. Great! This is a respectable & mutually gratifying tactic. However, in Raleigh, it does not work. The manager, the person representing Lululemon, is unprofessional and condescending. Make sure you try your product on, wear on & around home with the tags ON, and return within a few days if you need to. Also, do not have your "free hemming" done with this group because their seamstress does a choppy job. Lululemon has great products and marketing. The customer service/support internationally is only mediocre. The Raleigh store, suggested as a resolution center, is extremely disappointing. read more

This is my favorite place for athletic gear. As a group fitness instructor, I need clothes that 1) Won't fall apart 2) Don't get gym funk 3) Work well with whatever I'm teaching 4) Make me look good. I have a closet full of gear and what do I consistently reach for first? lululemon. I love the Raleigh showcase. The employees are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They have beautiful designs and great clothes. Note they are expensive, but if you wash as directed they will last a good long while. You've probably heard the legends about Lululemon- that it's just another boutique-y workout store with overpriced stuff. I was skeptical when I first went in there because I wasn't feeling terribly inclined to spend $80 on a pair of yoga pants. I am now proud to say that I'm a convert. First of all, as a female, finding any sort of clothing can be a challenge. Finding good workout clothes seems almost impossible. It's helpful at lulu that the sizing is done numerically (like 2, 4, 6, etc.) rather than Xs/Sm/M/L/Xl. They do this with both tops and bottoms so you always get a really good fit. They have lots of different styles for both women and men, making it a great place to buy Christmas/Chanukah gifts for your workout friends. They also sell GREAT yoga mats. They have one there called "The Mat." It runs at about $60 which sounds like a lot initially. If you try it just once though, you'll be a convert. Plus it's cheaper than a Manduka mat. I refuse to practice yoga on anything else. Recently the zipper on my favorite jacket from lulu got stuck and I could not fix it. Hearing about their great customer service I decided to take it into the store to see if they could at least send it back and get the zipper replaced. I wasn't very hopeful because the style had been discontinued. The salesperson, I believe her name was Mckenzie, told me that they could send it off to have the zipper replaced, but it would take about 6 weeks turnaround time. I was a little bit devastated at first because that jacket always made me look so skinny. So instead of sending it off for repair, she did me one better- she exchanged my jacket for a newer but similar style. It's great to see a store that stands by their products like that. read more

Lululemon offers a high quality product for those of us looking for workout wear that is comfortable, durable and flattering. It has become my go to brand for running and yoga wear. If this was an evaluation of product alone, I'd gladly give 5 stars. I've had inconsistent experiences at the store. I don't know that all Lululemon associates are well-versed in customer service -- it's not unique to Lululemon though -- it represents the general decline in the service industry. I expect to get iffy treatment in the discount big boxes, but at a specialty high end retailer, I have a different expectation that isn't always met by the inexperienced, somewhat indifferent staff they seem to employ at this location. read more

If I need something, I'd rather order it online instead of dealing with the snotty sales associates who act like it's far too much trouble to assist me in finding a pair of yoga pants.
