It was full of mead that was moist but not greasy. I later found out that the beef empanadas and the cheese empanadas were more traditionally Syrian. They also were delicious and the dipping sauces were great. Lastly the Summer Salad was fresh, unique with candied pistachios, peaches, avocados and whatever else was fresh. The dressing was tasty. The owner was friendly, helped with suggestions and welcoming. We will definitely be back. I'm just sad that it is not located where we live in Sonoma County California. I would say the same about the kalua pig - good but didn't wow me. The Chicken Katsu Bites were a hit. The crunchy and flavorful outside and tender chicken inside was very good. I wasn't crazy about the vinegar based sweet sauce that accompanied this dish but I had other options in the fridge. I would definitely come back here but would try some different items and order a vat of their macaroni salad.
