STAY AWAY if you care about your hair!! Went in about a month ago and asked Linda (owner) if she was able to raise my balayage and showed her pictures. She said it would be "no problem" I had waist length hair when I went in & came out with chopped off hair, no balayage and different colored highlights which I NEVER asked for! i expressed my disappointment to her which she only gave me $80 which is very minimal compared to the pain and suffering I am feeling, should have offered me the full amount considering the damage! I went in to feel better about myself instead I left devastated and depressed. PLEASE PLEASE ask for pictures of HER work before getting anything done by Linda or you'll end up like me! Lulu and Linda are great hairdressers. They are very knowledgeable and have reasonable prices. She's an expert with colors. My sister-in-law has been going to her for 27 years. Lulu always gets the perfect color for me, I decided to go a bit darker and I'm loving the color and I'm not a fan of colors that are too dark. Would highly recommend!!! read more

I had to give a 3 star review so my pictures would be posted. Which is not fair at all. PLEASE SAVE YOUR HAIR AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! This is ZERO stars ZERO .In the picture with 6 different pictures. I showed the woman. I would like either of these. I was leaning more towards the colors on the left example and style from the right. I wanted to get rid of all my red orange. And have BROWN hair. Look at my hair. Its RED. And where are my highlights? I'm so disappointed. What a waste of damaging my hair. Now I have to damage it further more to get it fixed. I mean the fact that this woman let me walk out like that and asked if I liked it. .... it looks NOTHING like what I asked for. It's so disappointing. My mom Rebecca and my boyfriends mom get their hair cut here all the time. Never again. I will NOTE* I couldn't take it anymore I called about 3 days later to let her know been I felt. Lu and Linda are amazing hairdressers and truly know what they are doing. I have light brown hair and wanted to go back to dark blondish and Lulu and Linda did a great job. They were super busy, I had to wait a bit as a walk-in but it was definitely worth it. My sister-in-law drives quite a way to het her hair done. They only accept cash so be sure to bring cash as I had to use the ATM 2 doors down. I'm so glad I found the salon! Sorry for the poor images but I asked for low maintenance blondish, which is why the roots are a tad bit darker. This place is amazing!! Its kinda in a ghetto neighborhood, but man do they do magic!!! They are usually full during the weekends every time a pass by, but I finally had the chance to swing by on a Tuesday. The girls were nice and friendly! The owner Lulu gave me great advice to how I should highlight and cut my hair. This place will make you feel like a movie star. Lulu has been cutting my hair exclusively for about 10 years now, and I only trust her. Being a guy, It's hard to find a good person that cuts hair just the way you like it, and LuLu do is Perfect!!! LuLinda's used to be in whittier, where I went to for year. When they moved to covina, I still keep going even though its 35-40 mins from me because they are that good. LuLu and her sister Linda are the ones that own the place, and do most of the cutting. Lulu's daughter usually cuts as well. LuLu is the only one that cuts my hair cause she know How i like it. She does it with a style, and always fits me in. She cuts my hair exactly how i want it, everytime.... and when i leave, I feel like a Movie star. My hair cut only cost $10 for this amazing epic mens haircut. I am picky about my hair, but LuLu is my secret confidence builder. Whenever I go there and get a hair cut, I always wanna go do something at night cause I feel great, and look great too!!! I notice they do an amazing job on women's hair as well. Ever women I see that leaves LuLinda's ALWAYS looks FABULOUS. Like seriously impressive. My mom has been coming to get her hair done here over several years. Since their original place in uptown Whittier. These girls do a great job and always friendly. HOWEVER! What really gets to me about this place is that your head goes through about three or four different peoples hand! One person will wash, another will dye, another person cuts and another person styles. I only want one person to provide me and my head with all the steps. So this place treats people as if they are in an assembly line and some how they still manage to take forever. If this place is for you that's great. I've been going to Lulu and Linda for years. My mom, my sister, and I used to drive all the way from Glendora to Whitier before they moved to Covina (much closer). My sister has really curly hair and until we found them never trusted anyone with it, now she doesn't trust anyone else. They even came to our hotel in to do our hair for my sister's wedding. They do a great job and I wouldn't trust anyone else whether for a normal hair cut and color to a stylish updo for special occasions. They are the best!!!!!!!!!! Usually Lulu does my hair, but she was sick today, so Linda did it! I loved it! I have also had an updo for a wedding done here and the hairstyle lasted during the whole wedding and days after!
