The decor and the vibes are just lovely...so much pink, so unabashedly girly, it's so refreshing. You can search for this spot on tiktok to get a better sense of the space and atmosphere...there's a lot of content showing off this cafe b/c it is really memorable. I went there to cowork with a friend, and there was lots of seating, and big open windows it also felt airy and bright and energizing in the space. The baristas' were helpful and friendly. They have a big parking lot and free Wi-Fi, so it was a great place to work for the afternoon. I would come here for the vibes alone, but the coffee was pretty good too and they had a variety of different mylk options. I ended up ordering the chicken pesto sandwich for lunch along with a sparkling raspberry lemonade, and later a match latte. Overall, very happy with this experience. Lula Coffee was my first stop in Seattle! As soon as I got to the city, I was frantic for some coffee, and this place was the first to come up on TikTok when you search for "best coffee in Seattle". I like the decor, it's different. I am so used to "hipster style" when it comes to coffee shops, but this feels like Elle Woods designed it (if you know what I mean). I love it! AND THERE IS A DRIVE THROUGH! This is basically unheard of in Chicago, so I was super excited to see that option here. The menu is also atypical. There are so many different options that even the pickiest of the pickiest eaters would enjoy a drink here. Great selection! For some reason, prices weren't listed on the menu, but it's about 6-7$ for a 12-16oz drink. You can also find some delicious baked goods and grab and go sandwiches. Service was also giving "Elle Woods happy to help"! The barista recommended her favorite drink (Cookie Butter) which is an espresso frappe. I was so worried that it might be overly sweet, but it wasn't at all. It was a great treat after a long flight from Chicago. In my opinion, the only way to decently rate a coffee shop is by trying a classic. I got the cappuccino, and I can confidently say that this place has mastered it all! If you're looking for an Instagrammable coffee spot in Seattle, this is the place to be! The decor is so pink and fun! The coffee was really good, I tried both the butter toffee macchiato and the salty beach espresso. I preferred the salty beach, the butter toffee was slightly too sweet for me. I can no longer be silent. I have given this place too many chances and I am compelled to share that I would recommend so many other places over this one that has consistently let me down. I love the interior of this place and the menu options (in theory), but that does not make up for time and time again having near inedible drinks and mediocre food and service. Sausage breakfast sandwich is not too bad, but the burritos have very little filling (mainly all dry and flaky tortilla). The drinks lack consistency. I will order the same drink 3 different times and once it's pretty good, the next time it's so so boarding on bad and the last time I toss it out and go somewhere else. Similarly, the staff lacks basic human decency and compassion. If I wanted to be mocked for saying something wrong while ordering, I would just go back to middle school. I stopped in really quick before heading to an appointment and got a 24 oz iced Toffee Butter Macchiato with a plain bagel and some cream cheese. The baristas were kind and quick and I didn't have to wait long for my items. The bagel and cream cheese were exactly what you excepted and the coffee was on the sweeter side and had a slight bitter aftertaste. If you don't like your coffee too sweet, I wouldn't recommend my drink, but for me, the coffee was satisfying and delicious. Service was friendly but the whole visit seemed a bit pricey for what it was - my total bill was $13 for a drink & muffin. I haven't visited this shop since they were Groove City Grind. Lula's is even BETTER!! A true gem. We stopped in on our way south from a night partying in Seattle to a whole new menu. Between that and my food allergies, our party of 3 took far too long in the drive through. The service was five star! The staff that took our order was super patient and kind, very respectful and thorough with food allergies. I got to see the new look through the drive through window. I didn't think the shop could get any cuter, but it did! Their food was better than a lot of sit down restaurants, and the oat milk lattes had a certain panache that is hard to find even in hotels and expensive cafes. If that's not amazing enough, the price was great--for three breakfasts (two vegan) and two oat milk lattes in Seattle for $46 is amazing. I'm going to try to visit Lula's every time I go to Seattle, if possible. Thank you Lula's! read more
