This place was a disappointment!!! Why everyone hypes this place BLOWS my mind! Reservations super easy to get in not hard like was told!!! But he bread and butter was like the star of the show honestly Started with the carpaccio has to be the worst I have ever had in my life and that is saying something !!!! 2nd got the Peruvian ceviche it had no spice at all I have had a lot of Peruvian ceviche and it wasn't horrible but it was amazing either it missed spice !!!! The empanadas were good specially with the sauce !!! The paella was delicious and specially something different considering it was noddles not rice !!!!

This was delicious - I was most impressed by the ambiance and vibe of this restaurant. Super romantic spot for a date night and the food was great too. Wish the pasta didn't fill me up so much so I could have saved room for dessert as they had a great menu of selections but nonetheless we will be back next time we are in town. Not pictured - my husbands steak that was cooked to perfection he says. He ate it too fast!

Filet cooked medium was good!

Came here with my local guide, as it is one of her favorite spots to dine in San Juan, and I can see why. More of an upscale atmosphere, reservations are definitely recommended! I opted for the filet, ordered medium, and it came out to my liking! The service was very good and welcoming. If you come here, plan to take your time as this is no in and out place, more like an experience!

0 star please! The rudest staff and terrible service. They sell you leftover. I had the worst dining experience at Luisa Restaurant in San Juan last night. When I requested water, the waiter poured glasses for my dad and me from an already opened half-bottle of Evian, then took the bottle away. When my husband joined us and asked for water, they poured him half a glass from the same bottle, which ran out, and finally brought a new sealed bottle and left it on the table. To my surprise, I was charged for two full bottles of water ($14) despite only receiving one sealed bottle and half of another (likely leftover from another table). Thinking it might have been a mistake, I called the restaurant to clarify and expected an apology or at least a reasonable explanation. Instead, I was met with shockingly rude and dismissive behavior from multiple female staff members who answered the phone. They spoke to me in an accusatory tone, made excuses, and even mocked me when I requested an apology. One of them sarcastically said, "Oh, you want an apology?" and another responded in the most unprofessional and condescending tone, "Oh, we apologize bula bula." This behavior is disgusting and unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that markets itself as a high-end establishment. The staff's complete lack of professionalism, respect, and common decency left me appalled. They refused to refund the tip I left, even though the issue stemmed from poor service, and only agreed to refund the bottle if I physically returned to the restaurant--a ridiculous and inconvenient demand. It's 2025, and I never expected to experience such appalling service and unprofessionalism in a so-called upscale restaurant. To be treated this way as a paying customer is revolting. It's clear this restaurant does not value its patrons or understand basic hospitality. Avoid this place at all costs if you value respectful and honest service--you won't find it here.

I visited Luisa a few months ago on the last night of my trip and had dinner with a friend. The food was so delicious I forgot to take pics! But the service was excellent and the restaurant definitely gives an elegant vibe. Great for date night or celebrating a special occasion. Highly recommend making a reservation. This was easy to get to from my hotel in Condado. I would definitely visit again on my next visit to PR!

The setting is romantic and the food is good. Overall, a nice spot to bring a date. It seems they have a rotating menu, but it is safe to say they lean favorably on Spanish inspired dishes plus steaks. There is private parking across the street plus valet parking for $3. We had Callos Madrileños for appetizer. I would say this was our favorite dish. Together with the complimentary bread to soak up the sauce... delicious. Add wine and you have a winning combo. As for the wine, they have a small cellar (not really a cellar) where guests can enter and pick their wine. Bring it to the table and the server will open it. For our main course I had the NY Strip. It was about 10-12oz and came on a sizzling stone plate. It was cooked to my liking, medium rare. I thought it could have had a bit more salt but still good. My wife didn't agree. She thought it was way too under seasoned. She had the trout with Iberian ham. We both thought it was average. We don't usually order dessert but since it was date night we went for the full experience and got the crème brûlée. Excellent choice. Our server Ana Violeta did a nice job.

Service was outstanding, considering we were a large group (more than 6) Food was not memorable (the octopus appetizer was excellent) and presentation (of the main dishes) lacked. Also in my view overpriced. Atmosphere is chic and trendy, Decor is really nice.

Ceviche and martini

Place itself is absolutely gorgeous - lots of eating with a spacious and high end bar area. Wish they had print menus but in the meantime they're using QR codes. I went around 4pm and was able to be seated immediately at the bar with no reservation. The bartender was very friendly and kind. I ordered a tanqueray martini and it came exactly the way I wanted it. Glassware was stunning (yes I'm a nerd that cares about stuff like that). I also ordered the ceviche appetizer - around $12 or so - that I thought was amazing and a big portion for the price. Fish was delicious and very fresh. Overall would def go back - was very happy with my experience.

Great espresso martinis!

Came from a hotel recommendation. Great drinks and food. Server was very friendly and attentive. I loved that you could pick out your own bottle of wine from the cellar! Will definitely be back.

Excellent experience with Hostess Kiara Torres, a true Professional. Awesome food, good drinks and great vibe. However the server was not straightforward; tried to make us believe we had not ordered what we ordered... so sad and so unnecessary... This Server is bringing a great restaurant down...

We arrived at 11am on a Monday because that's when we thought they opened. They actually opened at 11:30am, so we were 2nd in line at 11am. Once 11:30am rolled around, the line was very long. It's an old house that was transformed into a restaurant. It's pretty big in there and they have an upstairs as well. It really feels like you're eating in a Caribbean home, from the colorful tablecloth to the things on the tables. The menu is on a board, and they have a Spanish and English version. They give you a cup of complimentary plantain soup which was amazing. We also ordered the fried cheese app which came with a delicious guava sauce. For mains, I had the fried pork with tostones and my husband had the mamposteado (corned beef, fried eggs, and rice). My husband cleaned his plate, while I took leftovers back to the hotel (which we actually ate later because it was that good). They were out of tres leches that day, so we had the coconut pudding for dessert. It was my first time trying coconut pudding and it did not disappoint! For drinks, we had the passionfruit sangria. When we left, there was a very long line outside. Despite the line, they did not rush us out. Definitely recommend and would go out of my way to come back next time I'm in PR.

Beautiful restaurant with outstanding, creative dishes…read more My husband and I ordered one app and two entrees. The portions were very large, and we would have been fine with just two menu items! To start, we had the roasted eggplant, lamb 'picadillo', date sofrito, 'Feliche' yogurt. Really delicious and probably best for sharing among 3-4 people as it's a bit heavy given the lamb. Nevertheless, it was really good and we finished it! For entrees, we tried the (1) rice with rabbit, sweet plantain in its leaf and the (2) breaded pork loin, mushroom cream, cherokee tomatoes from San Lorenzo, tostones. Our server was super excited when we ordered the rice with rabbit and I understand why. It was insanely flavorful. Also a massive portion haha. We really enjoyed this. The pork loin was delicious as well, especially with the mushroom cream. Plantains are one of my favorite foods, and these tostones did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's a nice mix of modern decor with homey, vintage elements. There is a very large outdoor space, but I'm really glad we ate inside. Definitely recommend - especially for a group that likes to share!
