Service was "ok". Waiter seemed attentive until he realized we were just ordering two entrees and no alcohol, as he went to focus on a man sitting at a table near us. The food was also "ok" but for the outrageous prices really expected a lot more. A bit flavorless and bland. Two pasta dishes, a bottle of water, one soda...$98 with tip. Being from NY I am used to high prices but at least there should be something to make those high prices worth it. This place is right across the street from our rental condo. It was recommended by our rental. It was okay. I wouldn't go back. It's a wine bar and had a ton of wine to choose from. We asked for a cocktail and didn't get a straight answer so we just ordered wine. The service was okay but wouldn't say they were very attentive or personable. The food was not great. We ordered 4 apps for 2 people. We should have asked how big they were because they were gigantic. And the food was just okay. Neither of us really enjoyed anything we ordered. Where to begin. EVERYTHING was amazing. Expertly prepare meal. Even better service. Sammy was attentive but not intrusive and had great recommendations for our meal. This was our last dinner in San Juan and it was the perfect topper to a wonderful week. We even met the General Manager before we sat. The extensive wine selections lined every wall of the restaurant. The restaurant is simple, but elegantly appointed. As stated, Sammy and the entire wait staff were attentive to every detail, but did not hover. My son had a filet and I had a NY strip. He tells me I rock in my chair when thr food is good. Chair was rocking at dinner for sure!! I'd live to post the cliche that we will be back again, but fact is we are headed home to Florida. Went here with the fam during our trip to PR after seeing how highly rated it was on Google and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was also conveniently close to our hotel, which made it an easy choice. The space is really unique, doubling as a wine bar with an impressive collection displayed throughout the restaurant. But we drive here, you get a ticket when you drive in the parking lot, and the restaurant will validate the parking for you. With an excellent , yet young, Alexander Valley Cab, we enjoyed appetizer of buratta salad (my wife) and an outstanding, nicely proportioned beef carpaccio (hold the parm) as appetizers. Entrees of lamb chops and perfectly grilled medium-rare churasco (skirt steak) followed. Sides of minimally cooked fresh vegetables were excellent as were our mashed potatoes and rice with onions and mushrooms. My wife finished off her meal with an excellent cheese flan. After coming here for several years as we make our annual pilgrimage to Puerto Rico, I can safely state that no restaurant in the Isla Verde / San Juan area comes close to Entrevino for meat and wine. Wines by the glass are grocery store quality, I guess to push guests into pricey bottles (starting at $35). On our 2nd visit, we didn't receive a greeting from the server, water or menu's. The server finally came by & asked for our order. When I asked for menu's (which I had received 1st visit), they pointed at a QR code in a Mylar stand - great for a sandwich shop, but not fine dining. When I explained I didn't want to pull out my cell to enjoy dinner, they replied "OK" & walked away. When they didn't return, we left. So, if you don't mind mediocre wine (or can spring for a bottle), want to chance rude service & don't mind relying on your phone, you might have a good (if pricey) meal! read more

Just goes to show you have to try something for yourself. My chicken parmigiana was not dry- it was a great portion and a good basic sauce. Nothing like Saint Hubertus restaurant but this isn't San Cassiano, Bolzano it's Puerto Rico and it's satisfying. Located near Church's Chicken and CVS with plenty of parking. You will find the staff attentive and pleasant. I had to ask for water, napkins and pay for bread but who needs the carbs. The music inside was very classy and made you feel like you were someplace other than a Church's Chicken/ Burger King shopping center. Well done! I will not return because there are several other Italian restaurants I want to try. I do recommend if your in the area to stop in and grab a glass of wine and a meal. The selection of wines by the glass (for solo diners like me) was not impressive. In short, this place has gone downhill and it is not what it used to be. But the rest of our food was great. Ceviche came with hot fresh tostones. The branzino was very well fried with lemon capers sauce. The churrasco was cooked to perfection. The main dishes come with roasted vegetables and you can pick one of the 3 sides options: mashed potato, rice or fries. We tried the fries and it was great, but the cuban rice was old and hard. For the drink we had Cuba Libre which was ok. Overall, we enjoyed the food. The service was very attentive and friendly. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant. Their wine selection is also pathetic mass-produced swill, notable only for being marked up 300%. This restaurant is basically Sizzler or Red Lobster quality, but at twice the price. Likewise, the service is what you would expect at a diner, and definitely not what one would expect for a supposedly higher-end restaurant. They no longer have the salmon miso I wrote about in 2019 and they ran out of the bacalao, but they did agree to prepare the mahi mahi in the same way as the bacalao dish was offered (en un guiso). Highly recommend the cheese flan. 2019: Great restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. I recommend ordering 1 app and 1 entree to split between 2 people. The octopus was just slightly too charred but still delicious, and the salmon was cooked to perfection- flaky and juicy with just the right amount of sweetness from the soy glaze. They have an expansive selection of mostly napa valley wines ranging from $30-$100. You pick your bottle out of the fridge, or along the shelves, and bring it back to your table making the expefience slightly casual. Would definitely come back for another visit. read more

For dinner he got the churrasco and I got the steak filet. Mine was okay the flavoring was great and it was paired with veggies and I chose mashed potatoes. My steak was a bit chewy and I personally don't like that. Churrasco was super tender and melts right in your mouth. That was the better option in our opinion. We had to have the police called because they refused to return very expensive glasses, that were forgotten on the table, less than 10 mins. Not a way to run a business! Please be careful people. This place serves Italian food and wine by the bottle or glass. Our server was a bit weird, he only explained that we could choose a bottle on the wall to purchase but he never offered us a glass to purchase for our meal. When my friend asked for a glass of rose he told her he didn't have rose, yet we saw countless bottles around us...so weird! Customer service isn't the best here, they definitely could use some improvement, and the place is ICE COLD so bring a jacket. The food was good however, I had chicken parm and a brownie for dessert.
