Today, I receive a phone call that I have to reschedule to see Dr. Perez. I told them I had to wait a whole month . They suggested to see the NP Roxanne or go to Corona which is far and the reviews show Corona office is terrible. Also, last month they had cancelled me when I was three minutes late to my appointment because of traffic. Yet, they can't even put me in this week due to their inconvience. Dr. Perez is good at his job, but he needs to get better office management. They need to do better for their patients. read more

My mom went in for her appointment and the doctor was looking at the wrong chart and discussing someone else's clinical history. My mom continued to express that she was not describing her medical history until finally the doctor realized she had the wrong chart. So unprofessional and so inconsistent. read more

The Corona office is a snake pit. ZERO coordination with my mom's oncologist. The doctor and staff are horrid beasts. Also failing to coordinate with her new doctor. May ALL these people experience the same thing when they are older. You all look at patients as numbers. You all fail to forget that the time will come when you all at that office will eventually be a number also. I hope you all remember what you have done. read more

PaC Lyda Del Toro didn't care or help my mom at all. She is suffering from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that spread to her rib 8 and spine and on the vertebrae on the bone. My mom has had it now for two years. The first year she had it, my mom didn't know it. She was always in a lot of pain and her legs and feet were swollen on the left side and she was concerned about it so she went to her medical appointments with PAC Lyda. Lyda said that my moms swelling was normal and the pain would go away. My mom kept going back to see Lyda for 1 year trying to get help because her leg and feet were still swollen. Lyda did not know what to do and she just didn't care, I could tell on Lyda's face was cold. Lyda just didn't give a damn. My mom went to the emergency room so many times in that year. Finally a ER doctor at Queen of the valley in West Covina gave her water pills to make the swelling go down. The ER doctor even asked my mom why didn't her primary health doctor prescribe her the pills. Lyda didn't even know to prescribe my mom water pills to try to help her. The ER doctor said that Lyda not knowing about water pills is ridiculous and that every doctor and even regular people know about water pills. So my mom went back to Lyda and said she was prescribed water pills and that's when Lyda started prescribing them to my mom. Couldn't Lyda have thought to send my mom to run a few tests to find out why her body was swelling. If Lyda would have done that for my mom, she wouldn't have stage 4 cancer right now. Swollen body parts are never normal, and testing should be done to find out what is wrong. Lyda still didn't send my mom got testing and instead she sent my mom for physical therapy to help her with her weak and swollen leg. My mom had cancer and Lyda sent her to physical therapy. That just wasted my moms precious time. Lyda said the swelling on my moms leg and feet were normal and also my mom couldn't even walk 2 feet without being in severe pain. The medical assistants were so in humane to my mom. Because my mom was a few minutes late for her appointment, they turned her away, they told her to go away and make a new appointment. The new appointments were always 1 1/2 month away. Lyda rejected my mom because she was busy with others, probably treating patients with mild coughs and runny noses. My poor mom, she couldn't even walk and she was turned away. It was so bad that she was in pending paralysis. Lyda gave up on my mom. My mom finally asked Lyda if she could send her to a doctor that could help her with her pain because she was in severe pain. My mom finally saw a real practicing doctor. His name is Dr. Sawiris and he is a pain management doctor. Dr.Sawiris is such amazing doctor and he cared for my mom a lot. He treated her well. He was so kind to her. My mom explained to him that she was in a lot of pain the first day she saw him and she also told him how much she struggled with Lyda. He just could believe that she couldn't even care for my mom after 20 years of going to appointments with Lyda. Dr. Sawiris told my mom, "well this is ridiculous, swelling on your body isn't normal" and he said, "I have the power to send you for testing ", and he did send my mom for all the tests she needed at Casa Colina in Pomona. That's when they discovered the cancer in my moms body. The swelling in her leg was because the cancer was pushing on her spine and the nerves and that affected her legs. My mom got radiation from Dr. Thropay, another wonderful doctor. Radiation saved my mo from becoming paralyzed from the cancer pushing on her spine. Dr. Reynolds is another wonderful doctor, he's been treating and taking care of my mom. Dr.Reynolds runs testing on my mom very often and before each treatment. Dr.Sawiris, Dr.Thropay and Dr.Reynolds were all humane to my mom, they are all amazing and kind doctors who run the proper tests on my mom and who take the time to sit down and talk to her and explain to her what treatment will be done and what is going' to happen. If Lyda would have known what to do, and if she would have tried to help my mom, if Lyda would have simply cared, then my mom would have been able to have treatment 1 year sooner, and she wouldn't be so advanced in her cancer now Thank you to the doctors that helped and actually cared about my mom. Dr.Sawiris,Dr.Thropay, Dr.Reynolds, the doctors at the ER at Queen of the Valley in West Covina and everyone in the medical offices and hospitals who were kind to my mom. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would!! The front end staff in the Pomona office is so rude and careless! Everytime i went in for an appointment or even just a question the Front end girls seemed to get mad for questions! I always left either in tears from being so frustrated or upset that i got no help! They get one star for Dr. Perez, and David, his nurse are excellent people's and provide superb treatment to patient. This should give you a clue how bad the front office staff is. However let me say this, the balance of the front office consist of rude, ill mannered, and lazy staff. Their goal is to work little as possible, and get paid for doing almost nothing. They represent all the bad stereo types of Mexican people. It makes me feel bad, they hindering my nationality with their actions. All local pharmacies from Walgreen's to CVS and non chain stores knows how bad they are in replying to pharmacy calls, and returning them. One person made a remark waiting three for script to be refilled; they luck to get in three days. What do you think 7 or more days have gone bye before the staff replied. Then getting a referral done, is not a short process; the sorry ass staff person who does this is always full of reasons why it hasn't been, 60 days goes bye before the doctor request is looked at. A very lazy and sorry ass staff. They should be working at fast food place instead of doctors office. I can go and on, but my real question is, doesn't Dr Perez and associates realize how poor their staff performs, or they don't care? Or do they pays so little, and know they quality is poor and that is okay. Or doctors figures my people wouldn't complain, because they have treated worst elsewhere. I initially chose this location because on the Aetna website it said that they had a female doctor - Aguiree, Luz C MD. The day I showed up to my appointment it did not take too long to get seen which was a good thing. I asked if my doctor was in & they said she is no longer there and now works at the Chino location on Fridays. The male doctor I saw was helpful & informative but prescribed me medicine that I could buy over the counter for allergies. They do have a female nurse practitioner. read more

Worst experience in my life. After being with Dr. Perez for nearly 10 years at his Corona office which fantastic..I was forced to change to his Pomona office. The staff was overly rude and accused me of being late. Then when I was told in a direct rude manner by " Sandra" that I didn't have an option but reschedule after having to miss work and I asked to talk to Dr. Perez directly. I wad threatened by Sandra that I would be " escorted out" of I didn't sit down and wait. I never in my life been threatened in such manner. The Pomona office did the same thing to a poor lady with a very sick child right after me. That's when I decided I go back to the Corona office where they treat patients much more friendly. I advise all not see Dr. Perez or any other Dr at the Pomona office unless you want to go their thinking your gonna be helped yet to be threatens to be escorted to the street. You would probably get better treatment in jail med facility if your that sick. read more

My parents are patients of Dr. Luis Perez and have been going to him for years. The doctors them selfs down to the Physicians Assistants there are amazing and I have no complaints there. But the reason I give Dr. Perez's office 2 stars is because his medical staff the Medical Assistants there are all incredibly rude! I have never experienced such rudeness from a medical assistant at a dr's office before and I know how a medical assistant should act toward patients because my daughter is a medical assistant herself and works for a general practice. The way these Medical assistants talk to patients and their families here are unbelievable and I don't understand how they still have jobs there the way they interact with us. They have even gone as far as throw in our faces when trying to make an appointment for my father that "well he's already missed an appointment" when it wasn't even his fault because on his card showed a later date than what they had. The only reason I have not filed a grievance on this office is because my parents insist to keep being seen here by Dr. Luis Perez. read more

Absolutely horrendous front-end staff for Dr. Perez. I'm referring to his alternate location that is based in Corona, CA on Magnolia Avenue. The Dr. himself is fine and fairly easy to talk to but his staff does him absolutely no favors at all in terms of how his clients view his practice. Specifically, there is a woman that works the office check-ins, follow-ups, and incoming calls. She has the personality of a pit viper and is as helpful as a bowl of lard. Speaking of bowls of lard, this curly-haired misfit that he employs should have lost her job loooooong ago. I have been going to this doctor for 2 years now because it is 2 minutes from my work and there is nothing else in my network that is convenient or accepting new patients. In the 2+ years, I've probably been 4 times TOTAL, because I dread going in there and dealing with Dr. Perez's staff. (I'd like to point out that there is a male assistant (David? I think?) that is pretty mellow and has always been a nice enough person to interact with. The rest need to find a job that does not involve the public because they are not cut out for what they do. It's too bad that the Doctor will not invest in a better personality and disposition to be the face of his practice. The support staff handles about 60% of any visit and his gets an, "F" for a grade. From messing up appointments, to screwing up messages left for the doctor, to not handling prescriptions (I once needed antibiotics called in and it took her THREE DAYS to get it back to the pharmacy!), and everything in-between. Their staff is a miserable let down, do not expect to leave there in a good mood. Shame, because Dr. Perez is friendly and patient from what I can tell. Still, it is not worth the drama, avoid. read more
