If you're reading this it's probably too late for you…read more By now, you may have realized Mark's Auto Body is not a place for regular, working-class people or regular (economy) cars. First, they kept telling me about alternate parts and that they couldn't use alternate parts if I wanted a certified Chevy repair. My ninja, this is a Chevy Cruze, not a Lambo, just make it run so I can reach my full-time job, attend my full-time graduate education, and run my part-time business. I couldn't care less what parts you use. But he just basically said if they didn't use the parts that cost more, they wouldn't be able to stand by their work (no warranty). Not a good look.... But secondly, when you try to say the damages are over $8k for a car only worth $9.5k (2011 Chevy Cruze) instead of totaling the car out... That's what you call a vulture and is mainly the reason why I believe Mark's Auto Body needs to take several seats. Shame on Autonation Chevy (now Ourisman Chevy) for referring me to them when I asked them for a Chevy dealership. Mark's Auto can respond to this review any way they desire, but pictures don't lie. Attached is a photo of my estimate from Mark's Auto (they call it a blueprint) vs a KBB private party valuation. Again, over $8k for a $9.5k (maybe) car. Instead of being honest and totaling it out to begin with, they wanted to go ahead on with the repair. Then they told me multiple times that I would be responsible for paying whatever the at-faults insurance company didn't pay. Yes, I got nervous and scared. I pleaded with them. I told them I'm in school and I work, and I don't have enough money to pay the difference (it was 2k after one adjustment). Especially because the accident wasn't my fault! They were NOT having it, lol. I said OK I don't want my car to be here anymore. Then, I was told it would be hundreds of dollars for them to remove my car from their shop. Also, at this point, I'm looking on Yelp and seeing reviews from people just like me. Lol, I don't know how their google listing rating is so high? Anyway, I called my insurance company, who declared total loss RIGHT AWAY. Both insurance companies (both at-fault's and mine) had nothing but negative things to say about Mark's Auto body practices. Greed, it's all greed. In the end, I didn't have to pay anything and I was relieved to have Nationwide swoop in and rescue me because I promise you these people over at Mark's are like robots with no emotion. Especially, Jason, he is rude when you ask probing questions to get the answers you need. You should probably only come here if you are rich and really, really LOVE your flashy, expensive car. If you have a regular, schmegular economy or commuter car, do NOT come here because they will try to rip you off. Like I said, pictures don't lie.

Things started off smoothly. Baltimore Body Shop and Service was willing to fix damage to my bumper…read morefrom a minor fender bender. They told me it would take 5 business days. On the fifth business day, I called in the morning to see when my car would be ready for pickup. They told me it would be ready after 12PM. Then, I received an email about the fog light plug at 2PM that day (email attached for review). I thought it was odd since my car had been at their shop for 5 business days and a weekend and this was not noted previously. I refused to get it repaired, and I wanted my car back for the evening. I had to drive to DC that night. After I received my car, I realized that my bright lights did not work and my left turn signal was rapidly clicking. This made me think that something was not right with the car after I picked it up. I scheduled an appointment that evening on the day I got my car back with a different mechanic used by family and friends around the DC area for the following day. It turns out that wires on the driver's side were not reconnected after re-attaching the bumper and harness back on the car. The fog light plug was fine, but the wire to it was cut and needed to respliced for it to be connected again. There were missing bumper clips (see additional bumper clips in the list of materials) that had to be added to the bumper to secure it into place, so my bumper was not even secured to the car after the work had been done to it at the Baltimore Body Shop and Service. There was even a missing bulb from the front of my car! I attached the report from the second mechanic who had to re-plug the wires, reconnect the cut wires, replace bulb, and add the bumper clips to secure the bumper back into place. I had to pay more money to remedy the situation, since it was dangerous to operate my car (bumper could have fallen off; brights did not work; left turn signal was not working - fast clicking sound). If this task cannot be performed well, please do not offer to do it.

I tried to call several times and no answer(first red flag) after checking their cheaply designed website and also not being able to get in contact with anyone this was a sign of the professionalism I was about to encounter at this business. I checked out the reviews before I went in and I was hesitant but hey I'm around the corner why not? I walked in and I get greeted... wait I didn't get greeted I got stared down like I'm trying to buy pizza at a tire shop Instead by the famous rude Asian lady mentioned in the other reviews, anyways I go ahead and tell her what I need(alignment plus 4 tires installation) she gets me a quote and then I said I have a Groupon for the alignment she looks a me and says " no no no" I'm confused no what??? She replies Groupon is good for alignment only!!! Okay I that's fine I know that I'll pay for the tire installation. So she tells me I need an appointment now since I have a Groupon, so I said okay I tried to call to make one but no one answer, she looks at me like she doesn't give a shit and asked if I want the appointment or not, I declined so at this point you know what I'm going somewhere else thank you but no thank you I don't know how I feel about trusting my vehicle to this business. I decided to cancel my Groupon and with some many shops around in this area it was very easy to find a different place where you don't treated like garbage.

I had two works performed by this Body Works on two different cars…read more 1. Catalytic Converter replavement 2. Front bumper repair This is hands down my worst experience with any workshop. The exhaust work was performed poorly. I am getting loud noise from the exhaust. When I told him, I was told that work is fine, the noise is coming from the engine. When I checked under the car. I noticed the exhaust was connected to the engine without a flange. It was loosely hooked to the engine that was causing the noise. He still refused to do any work (he was paid already) The second work was the replacement of the front bumper. I have never seen a poorly performed work. The color did not match. He left-out a small part of the bumper (one square inch of the block that is an add-n to bumper) without painting, refused to take care of and demanded more money to paint that one square inch of plastic that is attached to the front of the bumper. That is not all, he lost my front registration plate which I noticed after coming home. When I contacted again, he told me if I checked the car. When I told him that it was not in the car, he said, can't do anything, it is my problem. Even that is not all, I opened the car hood, found that the panels he removed, all the pushpins were either broken or missing. Oh....forgot to mention, he quoted one price but for both works demanded more money than he agreed upon when I went for pickup. Both works were way late than originally agreed upon. You go to this shop on your own risk. enough warning is given

Then when I got my truck back the back door wouldn't shut properly the door open alarm kept going off. The paint job has runs in it and the rail repair is wavy. The paint job is sub par doesn't match well and my truck is only 2 years old 2017. My insurance company has tried repeatedly to get the owner to answer a few questions to help them understand why it took a week longer due to rental cost and he would just hang up on them I called him today and several times before asking him to take care of it I was hung up on once and today he told me and I quote "you can suck my mother f****** di*k" I've had my truck back 3 times to get the door fixed he wants to blame it on after market parts. I told him I'll take it to a different shop have them fix it and bill him for it. The Maryland Collision Center was recommended to me, and I could not be happier with the outcome. Together with the insurance company, they coordinated pickup and drop-off my rental. Austin was especially helpful and accommodating. You never really know what will happen in some repair shops, but this was a really great experience.

The rocker panel was bowing off of my car's body when they first pulled it out of the service station, so they pulled it back in to fix it. Next I discovered that the driver's side seatbelt was completely was missing, so they had to put that back in. Then I get down the road and notice a whistling sound coming from my passenger side door's window, so I turn around and take it back to the repair shop. They "fix" it, and I finally get to go home. At home I notice that the passenger side door is so crooked that it doesn't line up with rear passenger side window, and there is a rubber piece missing from my passenger side fender. I also discovered that the front bumper was not properly sanded before the painted it, and that they put the beat up license plate holder back on after painting the bumper, as opposed to a new one. I contact the shop, and they say that they will order the piece and call me to bring it in to fix it and the door. They never called, so I called the guy I was working with to get my car fixed, but he never returned my call. I got so frustrated that I decided to take my car to another repair shop. Once there, they discovered that MD Collision Center used a bumper screw to mount my passenger side window unit into place, not the correct size screw for the job. These guys are amateurs at best. You should not have to repeatedly return your car to the shop to get it repaired. They should do it correctly the first time. I only used them because they were approved by my auto insurance company. Do not bring your vehicle to these crooks. They are not professionals, and do not give a damn about the quality of their work. You are just a paycheck to them. You have been warned.
