These guys are awesome! I have used them twice... first approximately three years ago when I moved from Hialeah (the city of regress lol I mean "progress") to Homestead. I used them again recently as I needed to move my stuff from Homestead to a storage unit. I was moving...yet again this time to Van Wert, Ohio. I was starting an amazing new job and i had to get up there quick. I called Luis & Son because they did an amazing job the first time and I was hoping they could move me to Van Wert... they couldn't the only do local moves. My family's collective reaction was oh no! But we could still use them for the storage unit. My family and I did a lot of packing before they came... a weeks worth... and yet we had tons of stuff left... everything in our closets including our clothes... not to mention our furniture! They came in and efficiently got things done. This was an all day event. They were in our house at 9 am and they finally finished putting the last items in at 12 midnight... they worked their butts off. They took care of my stuff like they owned it. They were careful... and concerned wanting to make sure our stuff would not only be protected when it reached the storage unit but that it was packed right for when it eventually reached Van Wert later on. They were punctual and treated my things carefully (I was paying for that). The father is the boss and he says how things should be done. The son is a nicer guy and together with another employee they are the ones who do the job as such. My complaint is related to the overcharge at the end of the task that we had not agreed about and that the father went to the bathroom in my previous apartment and I had to stand the horrible smell until the moving was done there and I could leave the place. read more

This man who answers the phone is nuts, I called to schedule a move but due to a family emergency had to cancel 4 DAYS before so I can give them enough time to fill up the slot (mind you I was rushed during the initial call and he kept telling me that he was very busy but would squeeze us in after another move, like if he was doing me a favor when in fact I was paying) anyway long story short when I called him to cancel he started going off saying it's a Saturday and I should have called him long before (even though I gave a 4 day notice) I ended up on hanging up on this guy, he's not just unprofessional but unreasonable and not realistic. People have emergencies and you should not scold anyone for cancelling when in fact I believe I gave enough notice as a courtesy I could've easily not. Will not recommend to anyone! Luis and Son Moving was a great experience. I have to say that this company was very careful with my stuff. Their were 3 movers, they showed up on time. They were very efficient. I was shocked how fast they work. They did not stop to take breaks. They worked very hard, I moved from second floor apartment with no elevators to a 2 story house and I know it was a tough move. We contracted Luis & Son Moving to move the contents of two apartments into our new house. They were great communicators during the entire process, with Luis calling to confirm our scheduled date a few days in advance. Luis, his son, and their colleague arrived early and were able to start the move right on time. They were very efficient and careful with our boxes and furniture; nothing broke during the move. They had their work cut out for them, moving heavy furniture, boxes, and music equipment from two apartment buildings with no elevator on a hot and humid Miami day. The best moving company I have ever contracted! Luis & Son moved us on the 28th of dec. Showed up for 'moving day' on time and stopped 1/2 hr for lunch. Otherwise, worked continuously until we were completely moved into our new home. They moved from furniture to clothing and everything in between. All our furniture was plastic wrapped and padded for protection and there were no 'casualties'! They broke down furniture that needed to broken down and properly re-assembled it all.
