    Chicken Parm

The wife and I had our 39th anniversary dinner at Luigi's in Skiatook tonight. We'd been there some years before and had a thoroughly subpar meal. I'd seen a lot of goof press lately, so we opted to try again, and we're glad we did. Started with bruschetta, which along with the bread and oil was a great start. The bread was well done, light and airy with a decent amount of chew. The oil was great, if not a tad garlicky. The bruchetta was on point. Fresh tomatos with the right amount of acidity. I would have preferred a tad more basil, but that's just me. The wife had the pomodoro, which she said was quite good. I'm not a big fan of a ziti noodle but the bite I had of her dish was quite good. The chicken parm was also well executed. Light breading with a good flavor over a properly cooked chicken breast cutlet. The star of the plate though was the spaghetti. I don't know what's in their sauce, but that flavor was off the hook good. I plan on traveling back over for a big plate of spaghetti and meatballs. Service was timely and non-intrusive. Luigi's definitely redeemed themselves on this visit.

Was told this place was up to par from my uncle. But I know great Italian when I taste it. The resturant was busy so Service was a bit behind. I ordered Chicken parm and my Uncle ordered Italian sausage pasta There was no fresh parmesan. The garlic bread was super soft and tasty rolls served with olive oil garlic oregano plates. My chicken was tasty, but only one piece of chicken. The spaghetti was over cooled and soft. Guess customers like that. Over all not a bad place to try. Would have hoped for a bit more chicken.

This is probably in the top 5 best Italian restaurants in the Tulsa metro. Bruschetta, lasagna, salad, and cannoli were top notch.

I am fairly picky about my Italian food, but this place hit the mark. For starters, they have one of the best house red wine vinegrettes I have tasted in a long time. It was good enough that I finished the remaining dressing with the bread. The crab filled stuffed mushrooms were covered in a tomato-basil cream sauce and I could not decide which was better: the sauce or the tender stuffed mushrooms under neath it. For my main dish, I had the good old standard Chicken Parmesan and was not disappointed. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy and coated in a rich marinara and a healthy done of provolone. It was served with a mountain of spaghetti dressed in a robust marinara with small chunks of vegetables that gave it the perfect blend of taste and texture. The service was excellent, friendly and humeours. My drink was never less than half full and I was checked on throughout the meal. There was a quiet, relaxed atmosphere with subtle music playing overhead that made one feel right at home. Overall it was a great experience.

The Tiramisu was really good. Not too sweet like other places I've been. Service was quick and friendly. Not very attentive, but was observant when we needed something. I actually like that instead of waitstaff hovering all the time. The atmosphere was pretty loud, but not noisey. There were only 2 other parties at the time. Nicely decorated with typical Italian bistro paintings on the walls and Frank Sinatra singing on the speakers. We will definitely be coming back. Really good, authentic Italian food, made by Italians. A wonderful find in Claremore. Highly recommended!

Wife had chicken alfredo feteccini (sp?) and I had the pasta sampler. We both really liked our meals. Her alfredo sauce was the perfect consistency, chicken was grilled and good texture, flavor profile of the dish was on the light side- which is a good trick with an otherwise usually overboard Italian staple. Wife thought the pasta was very slightly on the soft side / I thought it was perfect. My pasta sampler (ravioli, lasagna, manicotti) was delicious: the tomato sauce was perfectly seasoned and balanced with a little twang. You could actually taste the difference btw the 3 pastas / I think my fav was the manicotti, which I might get on its own next time. I spoke with the owner about traveling in Italy. She and family are from Naples. Charming and polite people, very clean place. We will go back for sure

It was made properly, and I was happy about it. I was delighted to see they made the Caesar salad with real anchovies. The gentleman who made it tableside was friendly and gave us a nice show. Oh and the complimentary bread was awesome. The unfortunate thing about this evening was that they were down one waiter, and they were extremely busy tending to a large party in the back, so we had to wait almost an hour for our entree. However, the pianist informed us of the situation and nicely tamed my flame so to speak. The entree was definitely worth the wait! I had the lamb chops with risotto, which was cooked perfectly with generous portions. My wife's shrimp pasta was fantastic as well. I had low expectations for Italian food around Tulsa, but this definitely tops the list for sure. To round out our meal, we had to try the tiramisu, which did not disappoint (cue the annoying influencer voice). It's likely one of the best ones I've had outside of Italy. Highly recommend! We were sad to hear that the owner had passed away recently, but his legacy will live on, and I can't wait to go back to try the other dishes.

I generally am interested in restaurants that offer high, quality, vegetable-focused menus by the season, and il seme checked all my boxes. The service is outstanding. I ended up having to move my reservation twice, once online and then over the phone, and they were very accommodating. Our server, Madison, was literally so helpful and sweet. We asked her for bar recommendations, and she wrote down a list of her favorites with notes on the vibes/best drinks. It was so above and beyond. You can also tell the staff operates as a team when it comes to taking care of guests. 10/10 for service! The ambiance was so beautiful. While the tables were a little small, the restaurant is a work of art in itself. It has the most gorgeous wooden paneling and pretty blue walls. It was very hip/artsy/clean/cool. My only pain point was the restaurant was unusually warm, to the point of being a bit uncomfortable (I was in a sweater). The drinks were great. I ordered the N/A margarita and it was FANTASTIC! One of, if not the best mocktail I've ever had. My boyfriend got a beer that had a slightly coconut-y taste - yummy and unique! For appetizers, we ordered the focaccia and green garlic arancini. We enjoyed both! I loved the balsamic butter, though that dish was a bit on the salty side. The leek sauce that came with the arancini was a dream, and the mozzarella was warm inside. I ordered the gnocchi with oklahoma mushrooms, mascarpone cream, and grana. It was excellent and you will love if you enjoy creamy, truffle-y flavors. My boyfriend ordered the beef and lamb ragu, and he found it to be ok - perhaps a little on the aggressively al dente side. Overall, I enjoyed il seme and would come back!
