My meal at Luigi's was fine! This is a Midwestern red-sauce Eye-talian joint, and it's a perfectly good option when you're in the area and you're looking for a pasta meal. I got the lasagna, which comes baked in a little ramekin. It was very salty and saucy, but also cheesy, which is always welcome. The other people at my table got pasta dishes, including linguine with shrimp, which also looked a little saucy on the plate. I think they are generous with the sauce here. My Caesar salad was really good. I need my Caesar to be mixed properly, with the ingredients well distributed, and this one was. The service was great -- the servers were attentive. I would give this place three stars because the food was just fine, but the service was great and bumps it up a bit. read more

Im giving it one star because the service was really good but I ordered an Italian crème cake to go for my daughter and I just to get home to find mold on it. Which is very upsetting after spending $10 on one moldy slice of cake that ended up being thrown away I tried calling several times and all they do is hang up. If it wasn't for me looking first my 2 yr old would've gotten sick if it wasn't for this experience I would've rated higher but for our first time I'm disappointed. read more

I highly recommend checking this restaurant out. We went on a Saturday night, and it was packed. They always have a few specials listed when you come in, and I opted to have the rigatoni with vodka sauce (usage, chicken, shrimp, and mushrooms). It was delightful. They have classics like lasagna and Chicken Parmigiana, but you can also find a decent list of seafood options. They start you off with fresh hot rolls with a delightful dipping oil with garlic and herbs. We will return to this restaurant when we are back in town next. read more

I don't even like to leave reviews but it was that bad that I must I have never ate anything that bad i think ever. My sister didn't even eat her pasta it came out soupy, my chicken parm was soggy and the spaghetti was sweet and just gross. Mozzarella sticks were a 2 out of 10 definitely frozen quality for 9.99$ Didn't even touch my food along with the other people in my party. Excellent service and great food. They served a tennis team of 20 including men, women, and coaches seated :45 minutes before closing. Probably about $10 more than I would have spent ordering a couple fast food meals with drinks, but the quality and the taste were 10 times better than I would have gotten stopping at one of the popular chains. In the area for the state tennis tourney. Rolled into town late on Thursday night and my wife and I couldn't have felt more welcomed. A wide ranging menu that has something for everyone and specials that are worth the experiment. The location feels old school and has a charm to it that's great. The restaurant worked with us to accommodate the team and families on a Friday night - a very helpful accommodation. McKenna had amazing energy and Beebee (SP?) made it easy for us. Wound up here at Luigi's due to Gambino's being such a dump and bad business. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful very accessible to a wheelchair the wait staff was acknowledgeable and friendly. The appetizers arrived rather quickly followed about 10 minutes later by our main course. They do not bug you every 5 minutes but they do come over to ask if you need anything and offer dessert. The price was mid-range. All in all the good bargain for your dollar. But highly recommend them read more

Luigi's restaurant actually takes you into the culinary talents of Italian cuisine. They aren't like any other Italian restaurant in the area but are still very authentic. My wife and I love to split the Stromboli and a cannoli mainly because the portions are insane. They also do pasta however you might like it. All the meats or sausage or meatballs or beef and about eight other varieties. Pizza is also a favorite of ours and always satisfying. Try them out. read more

We came down to Winfield for the Christmas lights and saw the reviews for Luigi's. We decided to give it a try....and oh my pizza pie! What great food and atmosphere! I got the the dish with lasagna, manicotti and cheese and spinach stuffed ravioli. Each one was the best I've ever had.....and I've been to most of the Italian places in Wichita....and that's not short changing them....this is just out of their league. The kids meals were so good the kids finished their own and wanted bites of ours and their portions were hearty. My wife got spaghetti and she likes both white and red sauce....they completely understood and told us it was pink sauce. We will definitely be back even though it's a drive. We frequent the Luigi's in Bartlesville and love it. We were driving by this Luigi"s in Winfield and decided to check it out. The parking on the street was a little inconvenient with a big truck. The menu appeared to be identical to the one in Bartlesville. There were differences. No salad with the entree. We get a nice salad at the other one. The portions were much smaller for the same price. The meals were very good just smaller and not as hot. We also had one meal to go and specifically asked if there was a roll in the bag. We were assured there was. There was not. We might be back but definitely prefer the Bartlesville location. read more

If you want to impress a date or friend, take them to this charming restaurant. This is the quiticential Italian restaurant, serving unique but instantly recognizable *genuinely* Italian dishes. You don't have to try to imagine the dish because the menu has a picture of it. You won't find a bunch of "ho-hum" cookie-cutter dishes that chain restaurants crank out ad-nausea. (However, if you're hankering for a plate of classic lasagna, they've got a great one.) From cleverly crafted seafood recipes to chicken, beef or pork dishes with classic or uniquely their own sauces that they honestly could bottle and sell, you might want to give yourself a couple extra minutes to look over the menu online before arriving to make decisions easier upon arrival. Mmmm, what choices! To me, every Italian restaurant should serve a calamari appetizer. Try theirs, it's fantastic! Ever-so lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned and served with a wonderful marinara sauce - honestly the best I've ever had. If you wish to order a salad, I recommend the caesar (although I'm sure the others are wonderful too). You can get a side salad or meal-sized depending on your whim. Absolutely fresh and 100% romaine (not iceberg like a chain restaurant I won't mention). My date and I absolutely enjoyed our meals and decided to share a dessert because we were pretty full. Instead of automatically choosing the tiramisu, we instead decided to share a piece of the limoncello cake. A light, fluffy cake with equally light, not overly sweet frosting that screams LEMONS at first bite, compelling you to immediately reach for more. I'm having that again next time. The restaurant is located in the classically preserved part of downtown but adequate parking for large parties is 1 block away. The restaurant itself has a charming front room but if your having a family reunion or meeting and needing to seat about 30 or 60 people they have additional rooms available. (You might call ahead to coordinate that.) The classic charm of the old downtown area finds itself coming inside in the well-preserved and decorated rooms, and once inside your nose instantly tells you that you're in the right place. This wonderful restaurant is now on my short list of favorites. read more
