Wow! What a find! My wife's workplace does custom orders from them and we decided to eat here finally. Glad we did. We ordered the "Drury Ln french toast" which is either pumpkin bread or banana bread french toast. They make their own homemade syrup. Holy mother of ______ that was good! It was light enough to not seem heavy but the taste was probably some of the best banana bread that I've ever had. My wide ordered the "Was Up" breakfast burrito. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. They didn't fill the burrito with mostly potatoes like other places would to maximize profits. This was the real deal in breakfast burritos. We ordered a half dozen of blueberry muffins with lemon glaze to pick up in a couple of days as that's a custom request. We can't wait to try their chocolate pretzel cream pie for Christmas. This is a best kept local secret for sure. read more

Great coffee and pastries. Lunch and breakfasts food is good. Portions are just ok. Prices are a bit expensive. Friendly people.

We ordered a white cake and got a very dry, over baked yellow spice cake. Tried contacting the business with no response. Very disappointed especially given what we paid. We won't be back and do not recommend to others. read more

I placed an order for macaroons, sugar cookies and a smash cake for my son's 1st birthday. This place was more than accommodating in making sure things were done the way I wanted. Macaroons are to die for! They are so delicious! The sugar cookies are huge and sweet! I needed someone to draw the cookies on, and this place was the only place I could find that would do them and they did an extremely great job! As for the birthday smash cake, I asked for Arlo and Spot and they made it so cute! Loved it! read more

My mom and I popped in while I was home for the holiday. We were both surprised and intrigued to hear that Derby now has a Buckner Business District, who knew?! If you blink you might miss it, but hopefully that won't always be the case. This was a cute and quaint space with tasty scones (although a little sweeter and cakier than your traditional scone) and decent coffee. This seems like a family-owned and operated business, and I hope they can maintain a steady flow of customers and profitability through the seasons with their targeted events and specials like gingerbread man decorating and Holly Ball corsages. read more

I'm from out of town & just happened to find this place. This is my 2nd visit. The food is delicious, and so is the tea. The strawberry poppyseed dressing that comes with the strawberry avocado salad is the best I've ever had. The pastries are also very tasty. read more

Came into Derby from Louisiana and wanted something for breakfast that wasn't from a chain restaurant. I was so lucky to find this beautiful, homey little bakery/cafe. I could smell all things wonderful and freshly-baked as I entered. I had a perfect mocha latte and the most deliciously light cinnamon waffles topped with warm, baked apples, a homemade syrup and fresh whipped cream!! Heavenly. The waitress laughed when she came to ask how I was liking it--only to notice that I had already consumed very crumb. Service was genuine and friendly, and the cafe also contained handmade items from local artisans for sale. Many made from recycled materials. A truly delightful breakfast in every way. Oh (how could I forget) they DO have exquisite fresh-baked goods--cookies, breads, scones, sweet rolls. I bought a half dozen coconut, chocolate chip and butterscotch chip non-gluten cookies for the friends I was meeting later. They loved them!
