Minions, Jayhawk and fidget spinner cookies!

J Raes is a fantastic bakery, I would highly recommend trying it out if you like sweets. They sell all kinds of things ranging from cookies, cake balls, cupcakes, cheesecakes, etc. Whenever I go here, I can't leave without some cake balls and sugar cookies. They have the best cake balls I have ever had, and they sell a number of different flavors so you can get a nice variety. And their sugar cookies...wow. They always have sugar cookies ranging in size from small to large, cut out and decorated into all kinds of cute things. Their sugar cookies are much thicker then I'm used to, but they aren't at all dry, and they have a great kind of almond-ey flavor. This place is definitely worth checking out. Yes, you may spend a little bit more on your sweets here than you would at the grocery store....but this is a bakery, with delicious quality products that have been freshly made, so a slightly higher price is of no concern to me.

I tried this place recently and it was not disappointing! I was afraid that going so close to their closing time I would be choosing from all the unwanted leftovers from that day but they still had a TON of cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, and cheesecake left. I got 2 cake pops (chocolate & vanilla,) 2 cupcakes (Snickers & strawberry,) and 2 sugar cookies. Husband enjoyed the chocolate cake pop but said the Snickers cupcake was a little too sweet. I had the vanilla cake pop & it was my favorite thing. The strawberry cupcake was good but I ate less than half the frosting because it was too sweet. Super moist & delish! Cookies were awesome & didn't taste like normal store-bought sugar cookies (a hint of cherry maybe? I don't know but it's addicting.) Total for everything was $15 even. Their cheesecake looked super good but for $4.50 a slice I passed, maybe some other day though! Not sure if it was the owner who helped me but she was really friendly & patient. Defiantly try this place if you're in the area & craving something sweet!!

Average and overpriced. Cupcakes are over $3 a piece. Go to dillons and save money.

I live in an Asian shaved ice desert. Perhaps that's why I'm already super enthusiastic when I…read moretravel and find some. Simply the gratitude of it being present in middle America sets me up to have a good experience. Someone complained in a review about the "false advertisement" of having shaved ice as most Americans know it. It's hilarious to be that they assumed it to be what they know as shaved ice. If they had tried the Asian shaved ice, I guarantee they'd enjoy it and wouldn't have complained. If you know about other culture's shaved ice, you're open to try new things and let yourself be surprised. I digress. The shaved ice found here is the Korean version, Bingsu. It's very similar to other styles, but this one is mostly milk based. The menu is pretty extensive, including smoothies, yogurt, juice, coffee, boba tea, and of course shaved ice cream. We came for the shaved ice cream, so we tried the strawberry & mango first. It mixed the two, which surprised me since I had assumed it would be half and half separated. The combination worked beautifully. There was whipped cream, strawberry and mango syrup on top and we asked for mango popping boba. It was so delicious! The best way I can describe it is a feathery texture that melts in your mouth. We also tried the coconut one which came with condensed milk and coconut shavings. We also added strawberry popping boba. Highly recommend either/bob. Since the consistency is light and fluffy, even though the portions are generous, you don't feel stuffed afterwards. The place is spacious and has tall ceiling, making it very open. There's seating available on both floors. I enjoyed the Korean music playing and the tv translating the lyrics. The volume was just right (as opposed to some reviews out there complaining it was too loud). I probably wouldn't try to make calls inside though. The guy at the counter was super nice. He kept smiling really big the whole time he talked to us. Made me smile too. He also told us about the Korean cheesecake they have for sale. It looked delicious and fluffy so I got the coffee one. It was more of a sponge cake than cheesecake but it was delicious. Highly recommend.

They gave me the right ice cream and the drink! They did a real good job! They served some boba tea…read morewith my favorite flavors in it!
