Food was delicious, ambiance was so cozy, didn't feel rushed, had a 5 course meal with enjoyable waitress and intimate atmosphere. New favorite!

Ok...where do I begin... I'm from a very rural town in California and absolutely love Italian cuisine but nothing in California will ever compare! It's wild to think of Kansas let me rephrase that a tiny town like Mulvane having such absolutely iconic real rustic Italian dishes! The restaurant is super clean and stays to the iconic Italian ways! I will say that the hours are odd and I do recommended making reservations especially as these place is so popular! Now the service is sub par and the wait staff is not very helpful really kind and nice service but not the sharpest tools in the toolbox so to speak- Well worth the visit though!

Cranberry salad in parmesan cheese bowl

We sat outside on the lower patio because it was pet friendly and we had our lab with us. The server brought him a water bowl - which was much appreciated by our pup! The food was delicious. My wife and I shared a large cranberry salad in the parmesan bread bowl (pictured), I had the KC strip steak, and my wife had the pasta formaggio. All was well prepared and delicious. Server was kind and helpful. Atmosphere eating by the park was wonderful, and great food. What more could you want?

This was awful. I don't know why I keep returning . My son wanted to come here for a birthday dinner so we did. I think it's a pretty sad commentary that I had to put salt on a pasta Carbonara dish. The dish was watered down pasta and boiled prosciutto (and very little at that), and the sauce was nothing close to being a smooth egg Carbonara sauce. My son had the Quattro Formaggi and he said it was watery as well. I have been coming here for 8 years and the quality of the food has deteriorated over the last 3. Yet I kept returning because I love small towns. Unfortunately I will never return here.

My husband's gluten-free pasta and the Filetto al Pepe Verde.

Food was well cooked and with very good flavors. The quality of the charcuterie products was amazing.

Portions ridiculously small, over priced, and tasted like a frozen dinner that wasn't completely defrosted.

Authentic Italian cuisine in standard European portions with a romantic atmosphere--an amazing find anywhere, but in downtown Mulvane!

Strada by Luciano's - a small trailer outfitted with a couple of burners - is not easily found, especially on account of their willingness to venture into the city's southwest side and frequent stops in other cities in the region, like Winfield. They're committed to hitting the road from Monday through Friday for lunch; their whereabouts can be determined from their Facebook page. It was a smart decision to take the show on the road, and even smarter to offer an extremely limited menu to ensure the quality stays high. You can choose from two pasta dishes and a salad. Both pastas are repeats from the restaurant, though they're prepared differently and to varying results. The penne in meat sauce shares the exact same sugo di carne from the mothership, and the pasta finished à la minute gives you a rich sauce and an al dente pasta that is plenty worthy of the Luciano's name. The cheesy bowtie pasta, an imitation of the quattro formaggi, was less successfully composed due to the cream-to-cheese ratio on a recent visit being disappointingly skewed toward the former. The bowtie pasta was still cooked very well, so they are consistent in that regard. You would be burying the lede if you skipped over the salad. It ends up being the most unique aspect of the truck thanks to the ample cone of crisp Parmesan that surrounds the dressed greens. There are nits to be picked here, too, mostly because you end up with too much cheese for the small salad. Ordered alongside one of the pasta dishes, however, makes it easy to find a use for the excess remainder.

The service is friendly and prompt. They had a nice selection of pastas to choose from and even a vegan option. My choice today was a half and half combo: half salad, half pasta. I chose the Mediterranean salad and mottola pasta combo. The salad was great. Light vinaigrette dressing, lots of toppings. However you don't get the parmeasean cup or anything crunchy on top. I missed that aspect. The pasta was the big miss for me. The pasta is cooked well, but the sauce had no flavor and was pretty greasy. Most of all, why was there no bread? Who eats pasta with no bread? I also ordered tiramisu, which came in a lovely little cup. It tasted amazing, but I would have liked another layer of ladyfingers in there. It was pretty heavy towards the creamy side. Totals $16 with tip. Not totally sure it was worth it, but I'd try a different pasta option next time, just to give it another go.

It wasn't extremely busy for a Friday night; only 2 servers on hand. A tad pricey for what little you get. The lasagna was a disappointment for me (paper thin noodles, mainly sauce and cheese, small portion), the meat ravioli was...ok. Not offered or provided: ice water, or a side salad (extra$). Thought that was odd. Homemade hard rolls and pesto were good. Our server was a tad "off" tonight. The ambience was not the usual experience we expected for a higher end Italian restaurant.
