Stopped in for a late lunch after leaving Atlantic Beach. Was recommended by a neighbor. Ordered a 16" inch pepperoni and sausage pizza with a salad to share to eat in. Got talking to the guys working there and found out that one has family that come over from Italy with lots of family still there. Happy with the pizza! Liked the crust and sauce. Reminded me of NYC pizzeria pizza. Wife and I each had a couple of slices and took the rest with us. Enjoyed sharing the salad. Would have been too much salad for just one person. Would I come back? What a dump, restrooms are so dirty you can see weeks of filth on the walls. Wish I would have seen the restroom before I ordered, would have walked out. Food can't be made with pride if your establishment is that dirty. Service is standard order at the counter and pick up, nothing special. Never going back. read more

Great pizza and is exactly what the reviews state: perfectly thin, yet chewy pizza crust. We stopped on a Friday night and it was hopping with both to go/pickup orders and also dine in. It's all takeout orders by phone these days (no online ordering), but this appears to have been a takeout-oriented place anyway, as the interior was not as large or as nice as I had guessed given the high ratings. Presumably all the positive reviews are for the pizza itself, and it is an impressive work, with a floppy crust that nonetheless holds its integrity, and slightly bitter hints contrasting with the herbal sauce and the salty, greasy cheese. It is a pizza that screams New York. I wasn't enamored with the limited menu, which offers only a few toppings, but you can't get toppings on pizza by the slice anyway. It doesn't have that cozy feeling anymore and why did yall change the pizza sauce?!?!?!?!? I mean seriously! That sauce was hands down the best! You easily had the best pizza on the East Coast and in the mid-west. But, that sauce is just a sad no-go. Would LOVE to see yall bring it back. I love to dine where the locals eat while on vaca, this little pizza shop was spot on. Located in a busy shopping center, it is a convenient find for locals and out-of-towners. Four of us ordered a "small" 16 inch pizza and a calzone to share, it was plenty of food and we even had leftovers to take back to the hotel for a late night snack. The people who worked here were friendly, helpful, not overbearing. The place is clean and well maintained. The calzone was amazing, stuffed full of delicious ricotta and mozzarella cheese, and the pizza was awesome too, definitely authentic NY style pizza with large slices and great crust, not too chewy and not too crunchy, just right. We were staying at Atlantic Beach for week in October. Wanted Pizza for Sat. night but closest pizza restaurant was closed. The reviews for Luigi' s Pizza were very favorable. So we decided to drive further and give Luigi's a try. We ordered 2 large special pizzas. Went in to pick up and they were working none stop preparing pizzas and waiting on people. As busy as they were they were so pleasant and anxious to please. Got the pizzas back to the cottage, put in oven on warm while we had our cocktails. These pizzas were delicious. NY style pizza! Tried the Sicilian for the first time, it was my fave (and I don't typically like thick crust). Pizzas are huge! We had four people and ordered three pizzas (2lg and 1md) and had pizza for days. A little pricey, but considering we had pizza from Friday until Tuesday, I know two pizzas would have fed us just fine with leftovers to spare. The hogie role was toasted to perfection in a pizza oven that has seen years of seasoning from the tens of thousands of pies made here year over year. The steak was thin and cooked to perfection. On the flat top grill the onions and cheese were incorporated throughout with perfect consistency.
