5+ if possible. Outstanding every time. Bad product or experience 0% of time, even during tourist season (sorry tourists but y'all are jerks, whiney and entitled too often down here in the summer ). But they also make epic stuff for you silly tourists. Consistent for more than a decade-plus. We have had full pizzas, calzones, and sandwiches, but slices are our go-to. the pizza is good but i've only had it once because the other 3 times i came here they were closing 30 minutes early (their hours are listed wrong online) or out of slices at 6pm. this was after i read they were cash only and paid the atm inside a $2.50 fee to get cash out. then i get to the counter and they tell me they're out of slices. like, you couldn't have told me that first? "there's an atm in the corner but just so you know we're out of slices for the night" i mean how hard is that? SO annoying read more

as someone who is in the food business the setting was not professional some the staff had open toe shoes and no uniforms only the cooks did and the cooks had no hair net nor beard covers.there were nats in the building and bugs the staff used window cleaner to clean tables,this has to be the worse family busines. read more

True New York pizza joint!!!! This place summed up: Great Pizza, Rude staff, cramped limited seating, with trash/bottles/cans stored in the open in a mess everywhere. Like NYC pizza joints? This is your spot! Smells great when you walk in, limited crappy menu options the wall. The older lady at the counter is rude and acts like it ruins her day when you walk in, with one word answers and stares at you. She rolls her eyes at me because I asked for an extra topping.This place is very clean but cramped with almost no seating, small booths/tables, and ingredients and drinks just aired out in the open. 1 crappy small TV you can't hear up in the corner and the guys in the back are mad and yelling at each other. The pizza is large sized, heavy on grease and tastes AMAZING!!!! Tons of parmaseaon cheese and other pizza amenities at the tables and on the back wall. Very good and prompt service. Called in a pick up order and it was ready in 15 minutes. The pizza was very good but not your typical domino's or Pizza Hut. It had more of a "New York" feel to it, a little more thin and crispy than a normal pizza, with a lot of grease. We have a similar restaurant back home so we knew what to expect in terms of grease (just blot it off with a napkin lol). I'm only deducting one star because the cheesy garlic bread was just a hoagie bun cut in half with cheese and garlic on it. It was still really good but I wish it had a little more flavor to it. It was cash only which was fine we have realized a lot of restaurants/bars here are cash only. Out of all the meals we ate this week this one tops the chart. ABSOLUTELY The Worst Calzone Ever ! I believe this pizza joint must detest making calzones; or is a front for something else. I saw a beautifully constructed pepperoni pizza at the adjacent table with some teens, and when our calzone came out it had been left in the oven too long. The crust was a weird color and definitely overcooked, the pepperoni slices were unseparated, and 2/3 of the ingredients were so hot it melted the plastic fork provided, while leaving the remaining 1/3 still cool; how does that even happen. I'm sure North Carolinian cooks know pizza tradecraft better than this place, so if you don't want to make calzones, or don't know how... take them off the menu. read more

For amazing subs with Boars Head, pass Bella's and turn left onto Fort Macon and it's right there on the right. Bella's is filled with a rude staff and overpriced food... I've given it a couple of shots and decided to just give up. Heads up - do not go in anytime before their 9pm closing hour. Staff legit turns their back on you and place is already cleaned up. Woman at the counter needs to find a job that does not include having to interact with people.. especially people on vacation and in good moods. Pizza was nothing extraordinary. The people were well less than accomodating. I tried to pay with an American Express giftcard and the cashier asked "what is that?" It is a giftcard. She then informs me they only take cash which turned into we also take debit cards. So I go out to get my purse and forgot my wallet at the house. No where on the ad I saw nor on their menu does it state cash only. I think this is an important fact to mention. So be aware of this before ordering. read more
