Ordered 2 brand new 29'' Rimowa suitcases, both broke prior to departure. 1st TSA lock wouldn't work, 2nd zipper broke, had to Duct tape and Bungie cord the suitcase to get to destination(several arrivals hanging out of suitcase upon arrival). I bought two Briggs & Riley pieces for my kid who is going to go away to college, and both cases came well packed in heavy duty boxes not to mention the cases came in quickly considering I'm out on the west coast (typically, all orders from the midwest or east coast take 10 days to reach this side). Great to work with when youre making a purchase, but when you have to cancel, youre hosed! Made a purchase and do to no fault of my own, it had to be dicontinued. What happened is a simple outstock. So I chat in to cancel, and no one wants to take responsibility for this "Its just on backorder," or "Its been shipped already," or even "I think the manufacturer discontinued it; youll have to take it up with them," were all excuses I heard. I had previously given this company an excellent rating. I am updating my rating because the first time we used the duffle bags one of them the zipper broke open and our stuff was all over the airport baggage conveyer belt. My husband lost a very old and dear pocket knife. I contacted the company thinking they would let me exchange the bag because we just got it and it broke on the first use. He told me it was past 30 days and I would have to contact Samsonite. It was like day 31. Wouldn't recommend this company at all. Doesn't care about the customers. Also do not recommend the bag at all. The zipper isn't strong enough so when the baggage people grab the handle it can't support the weight. It only had about 35 lbs in it. There are clipable straps that go around the bag probably because they discovered this problem, but they were clipped and the zipper still broke. read more
