Amazing prices

LOVE THIS PLACE. Definitely in somewhat of a rough neighborhood with interesting characters that passes by, but the food is legit. We ate here like 4 times in 2 days. The food is very cheap and super tasty. I can go on and on about it, but I will keep it brief: if you are in the area, do check it out. Check their hours of operation also, because I think they close at around 5 or 6ish? Not sure on that.

Cheap breakfast/lunch spot in the middle of golden glades. Ladies behind the counter are very friendly and love to interact with their customers. Service: 5/5. Food came out fast. Ladies asked us if everything was okay and attended to our needs fairly quickly. Food: 4/5. Ordered the steak with egg breakfast. Came paired with fries, tostada, and cafe con leche. The steak was surprisingly tasty. Meat was of a decent size and was sautéed in onions, YUM. The flavor reminded me of my grandma's cooking which I found very nostalgic and comforting. The fries were okay, nothing out of this world. I loved the tostada and cafe con leche. They weren't stingy with the butter and made sure the bread was nice and toasty. The cafe con leche was very hot and sweet - just how I like it. For the price and location of this place, I was highly impressed with the quality of food for the price. Although my girlfriend wasn't a big fan, I would definitely come back for a quick, cheap meal.

You are foolish to not try this place. No! It's not fancy! But it's a great way to start the morning. The staff excluding the young daughter are very friendly. But the food... OMG! It was so freaking delicious! And there was always a line at 9 in the morning... On a SATURDAY! If that is not a hint and a half as to how good this food is... Then I don't know what it is! Hands down, the food is the bomb!

It was pretty good; Decent price for the food. There was a line of people so I think it's good for a quick bite to grab.

The menu is extensive, offering so many authentic Cuban favorites that it can be hard to decide what to order. I've been here multiple times, and honestly, I haven't had a single dish that I didn't enjoy. Everything I've tried has been flavorful, satisfying, and worth coming back for. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it does a great job accommodating guests. The lively atmosphere adds to the overall experience and gives you a true taste of Miami's Cuban culture. Don't leave without stopping by the bakery next door! It's the perfect way to end your meal, with an incredible selection of pastries, desserts, coffee, and other sweet treats. Even if you're already full, it's worth grabbing something to enjoy later. Great food, generous portions, a rich history, and an authentic atmosphere--Versailles continues to be one of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Miami.

My husband ordered the picadillo with rice and black beans, my son had the vaca frita with rice and black beans, and both enjoyed a side of tostones. I chose the rionada with congrí and sweet plantains. Overall, the food was delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. The only disappointment was the tostones. They were a bit bland and not as crispy as we prefer. Everything else, however, was excellent. The service was outstanding; friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant packed. Every area was bustling, from the dining room to the bakery and takeout counters, yet everything seemed well organized. The restaurant itself was clean and very well maintained. To finish our meal, the three of us shared a flan, and it was absolutely delicious; the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. I have to admit, we were enjoying our conversation so much that I completely forgot to take pictures! That's probably a good sign that we were too busy enjoying the food and each other's company. Versailles remains one of Miami's iconic Cuban restaurants, and it's definitely a place worth visiting. We'll certainly be back.

We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely outstanding and one of our favorite dishes of the night. I also ordered their take on a Moscow Mule, and it was refreshing, well-balanced, and delicious. For the main course, we shared two of the specials--the red snapper and the meat platter. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough to comfortably feed our group of six. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special. The live Cuban music, energetic entertainment, and vibrant ambiance create such a fun and memorable experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. A couple of things to know before you go: reservations are definitely recommended because the restaurant is very popular, and tables are limited to a two-hour seating. If you'd like to continue the night, you can always move over to the bar, which keeps the great energy going. If you're looking for authentic Cuban food, fantastic cocktails, and a lively night out, Café La Trova is absolutely worth visiting!

An older waitress served our table. She first brought us calamari that was undercooked, sticky, and raw. She replaced it with octopus, which was more expensive, and we agreed to keep it. We also asked for tap water, but she brought us bottled water instead, which cost $10. The restaurant was very dark, making it difficult to notice these things right away. Before we had a chance to review everything, the food was already served. When the check arrived, she pressured me to pay quickly, so I didn't have enough time to carefully review the bill. Later, I realized we had been charged for additional side dishes that we never ordered, which increased the total significantly. This restaurant is wonderful and doesn't need these kinds of tactics. I only wish they employed more honest waitstaff. My advice is to carefully check your order and your bill before paying so you don't end up spending extra money or dealing with unnecessary stress that could ruin an otherwise enjoyable evening. I truly loved the atmosphere and the food, but I was very disappointed by the service. For me, the ambiance and food deserve 5 stars, while the service deserves only 1 star. That averages out to a 3-star review.

Regardless when we arrived they sat us outside which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was nice at first. Explained all the popular dishes got our drinks out very quickly. I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
