This will be the place to go this summer. I went just to check it out and was blown away. I wish I could have stayed to try some menu items. 1st they have their own kitchen, bathrooms and menu. The views are amazing. They have garage doors around the whole bar so if it rains you have nothing to worry about. They do have a cocktail HH. The menu looked amazing and I can't wait to try the ceviche. I will update this review when I go and try the menu and stay a bit longer. But definitely check it out.....it's gorgeous. 2nd night was just as good. The views are amazing and you can see the water. I tried the dumplings, ceviche, steak bites and tuna. It was all delicious. The menu has tapas, sandwiches and salads. The steak bites had a nice flavor and the tuna tataki was perfectly cooked. But that ceviche was so fresh. They are open all day for lunch, dinner and HH. Check them out and I will see you at Lucy's.

Maren is the best bartender. Her customer service is 10/10. She welcomes each customer with a smile on her face. I love the atmosphere

My "hey Jude" cocktail was a refreshing starter on a hot mid day. The lobster salad sandwich which came with a salad was very good. Najar was waiter and bartender and was most helpful in deciding what we wanted. They apparently opened 3 months ago however the overhead canopies were not in use to provide shade on the outside deck. We were initially drawn there because of the outdoor sky and yes...ocean view but moved inside as it was too sunny. Would enjoy the deck with canopy for shade.

husband and I came in for the Neptune festival weekend. This is the second time we've eaten at bar. I have absolutely no complaints. The staff is amazing. The food is off the chain in my opinion and I would definitely recommend this nice cozy place upstairs if you ever decide to visit Virginia Beach.

Food was great, drinks were good, and the service was excellent. Couldn't figure out why this place was so quiet at dinner time!

One piece of advice: arrive a little before Happy Hour begins at 3:00 p.m. If you wait until then, you'll likely find yourself several people deep in line. Don't let that discourage you. Embrace it, because once you're seated you'll quickly discover that the wait was well worth it. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices--especially during Happy Hour--are outstanding. The Atlantic specializes in oysters, and their Happy Hour runs daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m., including weekends. We began with a Chopped Caesar Salad ($9). Every ingredient was crisp, fresh, and flavorful--a simple dish executed exactly as it should be. Next came the oysters: a dozen Rockefeller and a dozen Pacific. The Rockefeller oysters were everything you would expect from this classic preparation--rich, savory, and baked beautifully. The Pacific oysters, however, completely stole the show. Each oyster was topped with a delicious combination of chorizo sausage, pepper jack cheese, and seasonings before being baked to perfection. They were bold, flavorful, and easily my favorite item of the afternoon. I also ordered the Double Stack Cheeseburger ($7), and what a terrific value. The burger arrived piping hot, loaded with melted cheese, and accompanied by a generous serving of crispy fries. It's hard to imagine finding a better burger at that price anywhere along the Oceanfront. My wife ordered the pork, shrimp, and kimchi dumplings served with a chili crunch and ponzu sauce that tied the entire dish together beautifully. She jokingly threatened to drink the remaining sauce after finishing the dumplings (she didn't), but she did convince me to dip one of my fries into it. She was absolutely right--it was fantastic. In fact, I now regret turning down the dumpling she generously offered me. Part of the fun of dining here is watching Shuck-Master Slim work. He's not only remarkably skilled but entertaining as well, adding a little personality to an already enjoyable experience. From the fresh seafood to the outstanding value and friendly atmosphere, this was another memorable visit to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. If you haven't been to The Atlantic on Pacific, I highly recommend adding it to your list. You'll be glad you did, and you can rest assured that you're helping support one of our outstanding local restaurants.

We started with drinks and everyone enjoyed their cocktails and wine selection. Next were the starters of peel and eat shrimp and a selection of oysters. The shrimp were a good size and cooked to perfection. They came with drawn butter, cocktail sauce and extra horseradish on the side. My main was the roasted beet salad which was plentiful and flavorful. The addition of a fried goat cheese ball on the side was delicious. Others enjoyed hush puppies, lobster roll, and sashimi. All were enjoyed with rave reviews. The restaurant is a nice size, not too big and not too small. The noise level was decent as we could still have a conversation even at the bar.

The mixed drinks are way too sweet and expensive, so we opted for Ketel One with club and a splash of cranberry for $11; that's reasonable. The hot honey wings were really good, but the wings were so small for $15. And the tiki torch pizza was like eating a focaccia; it was dense, pillowy, and heavy, not thin and crispy. The toppings of red onion, pepperoni, and hot honey were so minuscule. The size was an 8-inch personal pizza that's obviously not worth spending $20 on. Come hang out, get a drink, enjoy the breeze, the views, and music, but don't order the overpriced food; eat somewhere else. Service was good.

Our server was lacking. There was one menu and and drink menu on the table when we seated ourselves and had to ask her to bring a second menu and she never actually did. We each ordered a drink and mine tasted like it had zero alcohol while my friend received an extra floater shot of dark rum in her Miami vice that she ultimately returned and had it replaced. We ordered nachos and queso and the cheese was good but not nearly enough for the amount of chips we were provided. My friend also asked for sour cream and that came out with the dinners we ordered when she wanted it for the nacho chips. I got the shrimp tacos and they were fine but two tacos was not even remotely filling. My meal came with nachos so the decision was made to order more cheese which is totally over priced at $5.99 that came I'm a small plastic ramekin-highway robbery if you ask me! My friend had ordered a pulled pork sandwhich that was supposed to come with coleslaw and didn't. Our server was missing in action that we flagged down another server who went and got the Cole slaw that should have come with her meal. Please do better next time, although I have no desire to return if I'm being totally honest.

I'm a chef myself and travel to different restaurants regularly, so I try to be understanding. That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.
