This place is definitely unique. Not in a bad way. Prices are very reasonable for full sets, fill prices are not reasonable. From experience, it's a little more than half the full price for a fill every 2-3 weeks. So, you get a "consultation" with the receptionist which consists of Google images of different styles they offer, length desire, curl desire. You pick and then you go into another intimate massage style room and the receptionist tells the tech what you want. Then you lay on a massage style bed for approx 2 hours, more depending on whqt you get. The bed has a massage roller type thing that goes head to toe the entire time, with heat! The heat I enjoyed but it was not relaxing or enjoyable for me. To each's own! & they document the lash style they did on you which is good!
Prior to my appointment: i went in for 2 questions. First, I had extensions from a previous place (they're too far and it got too hard to get in for an appt) hence the change. Typically, most experienced technicians do not do "foreign fills" which means, fills from another person's work. The manager confirmed no, they would do removal and a full set and she offered me their current 50% off deal. 2nd - pictures / examples. I attempted to do research to select a technician for my desired style. There wasnt anything linking to anyone specific during my search besides Lilly from a previous review here. Fortunately, it's the style I wanted exactly. Doll eye shape, dark, full, fluffy and the curl length. As you can tell, I'm picky, 2 years/ 2 techs with fake lashes and lots of Google/instagram searches. They told me they didnt have any. Um, what? They told me to reference their Huntington beach location. Which didnt help because it's not the same technicians here in orange. Plus, they dont put a name or face to their samplea. I'm sure each tech has a style, and may be better at one style than another. There are tons of styles and techniques. So they said they all have the same technique. Ok, whatever, since I was satisfied with the "Lilly" review I accepted her 50% off and booked my appointment.
My appointment: With the receptionist, I picked a Google picture and told the girl what I wanted and even showed screen shots I had saved which didnt matter since she wasn't doing my lashes. She went and told Lilly in Vietnamese and there I layed. At first, I could feel her just going straight to the fill...again I've had extensions for 2 years and had them removed once. So, I stopped to confirm. She clearly didnt understand with the silence after I spoke. I tried a second time asking if shes going to remove because I have not been here before. She said she was going to remove "some" I tried to explain I was new but who knows if she understood. Honestly, I'm not even sure if she removed them and there I layed for 2 hours. She gave a great mini face massage at the end. When I saw my lashes, it wasn't quite what I wanted. I was being charged for volume and it wasn't very full or volume like. So I spoke up, which is hard because they gossip but I'm paying for it so I want to be satisfied. She was very nice about it and I layed back down for another 45+ minutes.
Overall: i originally wanted to give 3 stars but In the end I was VERY satisfied. Besides the removal part, Lilly is good. She's precise. There's not a lot of glue and it ended exactly how I wanted. Good work takes time. Almost 3 hours! I would give a 4 but there really isn't a need for a consultant with the receptionist. There is definitely a language barrier. The possible removal. It took 3.5 hours, after asking her to fix them but she fixed them happily. I am satisfied with my lashes and will go back now that she knows my style. I will try to post pictures.
