This restaurant did a revamp of the menu going towards a more bbq focus. The menu consists of some of the same menu items as the last but a lot more new ones from food and drinks. Of course the inside is beautiful and spacious. The service was really amazing from my good friends that work there Bri and Jay!! Drinks: *The Cornbread Sermon - My favorite- definitely unique in a sense that actual cornbread was used in Woodford reserve. *Bayou Breeze - this was a NA drink. Floral forward. The thyme and elderflower you can really taste. Food: *Crab Beignets - AMAZING!! I wanted more than 3. Had a nice crunchy crust but soft on the inside. The lemon aioli was really good as well with it. *Lucy Q Big Plate - great way to experience trying all the meats they other. Only complaint was that the brisket was a bit dry. This also come with two sides which had that Mac n cheese and greens. The Mac was cooked right and very cheesy but to me it needed salt and pepper. The greens were really good. Dessert: *Salted Bourbon Caramel Cheesecake - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - I wanted not a slice but the whole cheesecake! The cheesecake itself was soft and decadent but that salted bourbon caramel drizzle tasted really good. *Caramelized Banana Pudding Cake - this was a good dessert too. The vibe was vibing and that helped this 4 star rating. I was so excited to finally dine here and would give it another try. Shout out immediately to the Drinks Menu which is very creative, tasty and with a kick! We started with the Bread service and Caesar Salad. The menu advises that the dressing is anchovie base and that drew me in but it was light to non existent, still a decent salad though. Next the Gnocchi was Soo rich and creamy and I would definitely order this again, it is reminiscent of Mac n Cheese but elevated. Onto the Crawfish Pie, was not really sure what to expect but it delivered! Handheld flaky crust pie packed with crawfish stuffing and served with a sort of stewed tomatoes on the side. Lucy Quinn had ups and downs. In the location of the old beast bbq the space is large. Went on a Saturday night with a friend. Sadly, the restaurant was pretty empty. Oddly they put all of the people that were at the restaurant in the same part of the restaurant. Service was great. The waiter did an amazing job of describing the dishes and the drinks. He was very attentive to us and checked in on us multiple times. The drinks were unique. I tried to and both of them were pretty tasty and different from what I'm used to. The crawfish pie, was really good and delicious but small. We also ordered the barbecue shrimp, and they were pretty good but not what we were expecting. We only got three. The sauce was pretty good though. For entrées, we ordered the pork belly and the chicken. The pork belly was really tough and neither of us ate it. I took it home, hoping I could fix it, but it still was not edible. The chicken was OK nothing special. It had some candy pecans on it, which add some flavor to it, but otherwise was pretty bland For what we paid, I do not think this restaurant was worth it, but I will try the one next-door have a little Lucy. read more

Meh. It looks nice upon entry, but was nearly empty; although they seated us right next to another table of people when a little more space would've been nice. We ended up moving 1 table over just to give everyone some space and privacy. They were out of an ingredient of one of their menu-based cocktails, so we ordered a different one. That one had a nut-based liquor in it and the bartender was "allergic" to nuts so could not make it. They made 2 of the 4 drinks and brought them out in about 10 minutes. The 3rd and 4th took another 10+ minutes. Lol. The appetizers were just okay and the dinner entrees seemed on the small side based on pricing, but were actually quite good....just would've liked a small bit more. Service was slow-ish even though the place was nearly empty (and we all didn't arrive at the same time). Skipped dessert and went to the Vandy for a night cap. This restaurant recently transitioned to be a BBQ place. I will definitely try it and update my review based on the new menu and vibe. I hope it survives. read more

Our favorite bartender suggested we had to try the food at Lucy Quinn since we eat at Little Lucy so much. We stopped in before a little before closing and the hostess acted like we needed a reservation for an empty restaurant which was a deterrent. So we asked about the bar, once we were informed that the drinks at Lucy Quinn and Little Lucy are the exactly the same, we left and went next door. On our second time back we sat at the bar with our favorite bartender and went over menu options and recommendations. We knew we wanted the try the fried catfish and romaine caesar salad for sure. We sat next to a fellow foodie enthusiast and he was going thru the menu ordering some of everything: the crispy pork belly, Benne seed-duck fat milk bread and roasted cabbage. We asked him about his food selection and the taste points of each dish. Everything he ordered looked soooo good but he was saying it was just OKKKKaaaay. So we narrowed down our selection to go with our originals to keep it simple. The romaine ceasar was extremely fishy and just off but we opted to keep it and the fried catfish which is served with spaghetti puttanesca was a train wreck on a plate. While very aesthetically appealing to look at the taste was anything but. The best I can describe it as was a foul off-putting flavor, like...what is this?????? So much in fact that we had to send it back it was trully that inedible. The spaghetti was so underwhelming and bland and the catfish had some sort of funny batter on it that was gross along with the catfish being undercooked. And the price point of $25 for this entree and portion size with flavors that do not even compliment the dish is a travesty. What were other patrons being served that we missed. Where they experimenting in the kitchen with a new recipe. We were soo highly disappointed in our food experience the only saving grace was our bartender and the cocktails. We had such HIGH hopes and expectations for the food on this side of the wall and for it all to fall short was disappointing. read more

Had a great first visit to Lucy Quinn, a beautifully designed spot named after the owner's grandmother. The food leans toward upscale Southern--creative, a bit pricey, sort of Tapas style, even if it's not labeled that way. We tried pretty much the entire menu. I enjoyed my brisket and the potato wedges were really good. The cocktail menu offers a nice variety, and overall it was a solid first experience. Service was on the slower side but still attentive. This just might be my favorite place I've visited in the last year! Food and drinks were amazing. The service really sold the place though. While deciding which drink would be best, our server and another employee who I'm assuming was the bartender came to our table and answered all of our questions. Even going as far as to giving great examples. I definitely was happy with my choice and danced in my seat throughout the entire meal. The establishment was beautiful, fun and welcoming. I ordered gumbo and was disappointed-no flavor or wow factor, not a variety of meats like traditional gumbo. Even the rice was sad. Also overpriced for portion size. Lucy Quinn's has the potential to be a crowd gather. Staff is friendly, but had troubles managing our group of 30 mature women. The menu is an ala carte menu with no variation. The selections looked appetizing, but that is weren't ended for me. I ordered brisket and eggs. That brisket had to be days old as it was dry over cooked and honestly hard to beat, but for $27, I wasn't leaving it. The eggs were just scrambled, nothing more. I also tried the fried green tomato. They were okay. Nothing special for $13. They offer fried chicken, that looks like it had been cooked in old grease or cooked way too long.
