Also, unlike Chico Women's Club, there is a separate dining room and auditorium, divided by a large central hallway to give you more options for setups. In adidition to the Grange parking lot, there is plenty of onstreet parking available. I've run into difficulty finding parking at the Chico Women's club once the little parking lot is filled, as it is surrounded by downtown homes and college rentals. CV

AND - they rented both the Queen Palm villa and Foxtail villa out to us for our out-of-town guests (and the bride and groom) Let's tall above and beyond! The day after our wedding, Rubina made the last six remaining guests lunch and brought it to our villa. AND - on checkout day, she made a hot breakfast for the final four of us. That's going the extra mile for sure. When leaving the venue (reluctantly) Rubina told us we were welcomed back at any time, to pack a lunch and sit in any part of the beautiful waterfall areas and enjoy. I cannot recommend the Palms, and its warm hearted staff, strongly enough.

We met with the Club's event organizer, Sara Rose, to find out if it would be a fit for us. Sara Rose was friendly, honest, and professional. After we chose the Women's Club to be our venue, Sara Rose kept in contact with us --- answering any and all questions that we had. One of our concerns was who would clean up after the event. Cleaning in a wedding dress was the LAST thing I wanted to do. However, our family and friends cleaned up the decorations, and Sara Rose offered to clean the rest for a very reasonablel fee. The Women's Club was the perfect wedding reception venue for us. It was very affordable when compared to other venues in the area ($750 for the entire day), and it was close in proximity to our ceremony location in Bidwell Park. With its hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and hanging chandliers, the main room required litle decoration. The Women's Club also offers a stage which we took advantage of with our choice of a live band, The Decades. The patio area in the back gave those who wished to converse in a more quiet location an opportunity to do so. The garden foliage behind the back patio coupled with our hanging lanterns and cocktail tables gave the space quite a festive feel. Finally, the kitchen area was a great asset for our catering company, Bacio's. I would reccomend this venue to any couple who is on a budget, yet is looking for a relaxed and fun wedding reception.

After being seated, It took close to 5 minutes to get approached by anyone and was asked if I wanted a drink. Ordered coffee and a water. Close to 10 minutes later, my waitress came by to take my order. I went to the restroom and returned to find my water missing but my coffee was still there. Food arrived fairly quickly. The hash browns were completely overcooked with no yellow potatoes at all, everything was beyond crispy brown. The toast was cold and /or stale. Never saw my waitress after placing my order. Had to flag down some other employee for a box for my sausage and jalapeno scramble and my check. Considering the amount of employees in this place, the service was terrible. No one was rude but service was non existent. No one offered to refill my coffee or even came by during the 25 minutes I was there after my order was delivered. $25 for a coffee and scramble I've been to Nash's plenty of times and this was by far the worst experience. Crossing it off my choices when I come to Chico. Side note: there was a beautiful car parked outside.
