A few weeks ago, my review would be 5 stars. Now, however, they have repeatedly reported they're under-staffed, and today upon picking up my dog from daycare, not only had she been allowed to chew up her harness, leash, and towel (which has never been an issue when staying for a full day of daycare previously), but also somehow she was able to chew through the plastic ziplock bag that contained her food (which was also still full of food, which again has never been an issue on previous days). Although I was told that dogs are not allowed near the bins where the bags of food are kept, I was told by a worker while picking up my dog that "it looks like she got to her food bag," which is made of zip-lock plastic, and now I'm concerned with how much she ingested. Overall, the Lucky Pets staff is aware they're understaffed, but continue to accept dogs into their care that they do not have the staff to properly/safely watch and take care of. Extremely disappointed after how great it was a few weeks ago. read more

Sami always does a good job grooming our Ragdoll cat. There have never been any issues. I can also appreciate that Sami is more efficient on time than other groomers I've had. I recommend her. read more

We've been long time customers of Lucky Pets for both boarding and grooming. We had a biting incident at home and I called Lucky Pets to see what help or resources they might offer or suggest as they know our dogs so well. A month or so later we called to schedule boarding and were told our dog is no longer welcome there because of the biting incident I volunteered/called and told them about. I realize Lucky Pets isn't reliant on one family's business but we've literally spent thousands of dollars a year with them and referred friends and neighbors to them. Apparently this how they reward loyal customers. I will be sure to spread the word that you're probably better off finding an alternative place for boarding and grooming. read more

I have been to Lucky Pets a few times for dog food and every time Britanny has been there to help. She is super nice and is more knowledgeable about dog food than anyone I've ever met! Today was my first time getting one of my dogs groomed there and it was great! Karen was the groomer who worked on my baby and when she got home she was happy, soft, and super shiny! I can't wait to bring my other dog in next! read more

This is not the first time I have had issues with Lucky Pets and communication with their staff and their boarding policies. I spoke with one person late last week, who neglected to tell me that they won't take your dog within 48 hours of him getting shots. I had told the her that he was getting shots, but now the person I just talked to said they won't take him for the weekend and we are leaving town since he just had shots. I have called 4 other boarding places and they are all full. I will NEVER recommend LP to anyone. Have your people trained. read more

Absolutely loved this boarding facility! It was my first time boarding my dog and I was nervous. The staff were absolutely great and so friendly. I knew my husky would be in great hands. They offer so many great survives, such as walks, PUP CUPS :) and grooming. When I picked my dog he looked so handsome and so clean l, they did an amazing job! Love this place! Great staff, always very courteous and helpful and VERY knowledgeable about animal questions and products suggestions, etc. They have a wide range and varied selection of products from treats, toys, the best of food, grooming, and apparel. Been going there for years for boarding and grooming. I'm very particular about my dogs. We have a flat-coat retriever and a pomeranian so a big and small dog. Always feel like my dogs are well cared for and the staff although young, they are great, Always accomadating. The groomers do a great job as well! read more

ok, i'm not one to write reviews but i had to write one about this place... i,ve brought my dog in for grooming twice!! the first time they clipped a skin tag so bad it made him bleed. ok now i can understand that they just didnt see it till it was to late. the second time however is a whole different story. while trimming around his eyes they shaved his cornea on his eye, and then made the decision not to tell me. ( didnt say a word) i found out once i got home so of couse i took him into the vet and it ended up costing me $ 200.00+ in vet fees thats on top of the $ 60.00 for the grooming fees. i WILL never bring my dog back to this place EVER again!! they obviously dont care what they do nor are they willing to take responsibility for there actions. if they did they would've said something about it. my advice is be very careful with these people they might not be what they seem... read more

While the dog may be ok with this place, make sure you get there before 5:00 pm to pick him up. Even though they're open until 8:00 pm, they charge you for an entire day. I showed up at 5:30 and they charged me $45. Said it was because they feed them at 5:00. They fed him the food we left for him. Love to get $45 for throwing someone else's food in a bowl for a dog! read more

Our dog, Kaitlyn, is a lucky pet because we take her to Lucky Pets in St. Michael for grooming. Every employee is so incredibly attentive and has an obvious love for animals. No matter when we've walked in, the dogs are being pampered and talked to in a calm, loving manner. Kaitlyn always runs into the store with excitement (though I hear she's not a fan of nail trimming). They have excellent people skills, too...always smiling. Nicole did a fabulous job grooming Kaitlyn and spent extra time brushing her to prevent excess shedding. That's why I wasn't worried about our son hugging her in his head-to-toe black. Kaitlyn's fur is noticeably softer and brighter after every grooming there and remains that way for several weeks. The prices are very reasonable, too. We have loved every experience there, including our frequent dog food purchases. It means so much to us to know that she's in good hands there. If you have pets, we highly recommend Lucky Pets for pet supplies and grooming. We've heard rave reviews about their doggy daycare and boarding, too. read more

Groomer popped a cyst on my dog and saw no issue with what she had done. I thought perhaps it was an accident but no. I called back to speak to director of operations, Maddie and was treated like I made up the whole instance. Even after she found my credit card receipt (as somehow the day of the grooming in question wasn't in their system) she continued to act like it was a "supposed cyst." I decided the day it happened I wouldn't ever bring my dog back there but after the social media post and seeing this wasn't an isolated situation, I wanted to be sure upper management knew so nobody else's dog would be treated as mine was. If Maddie would have stopped for one second to treat this as an actual situation she would realize I didn't want anything except for awareness of what her groomer was doing. That was my mistake, I thought this was more than a business and that they actually cared about pets. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. read more

Very saddened to say I resigned from Lucky Pets a couple weeks ago because it has quickly gone down hill. The people working in boarding do not have knowledge of how to work with dogs or care for them properly. Under the new manager of boarding, the dogs are no longer going outside for playtime or even to go potty. Most days the dogs are in kennels the duration of their stay and customers are being lied to. I miss all the regulars I got to know so well and wish I could have taken them all with me. This place used to be amazing but please, if you care for your pup and want them to have happy days, do not take them here anymore. read more
