1st time at business a week ago. The therapist was friendly. I did a 45 minute body massage @ $50; had to pay up front first.

Scared of the procedure, backing off due to the price, not sure how much eye brow to add - just plain chicken! Michelle solved it all! She is so skilled at brown design - she took 1.5 hours working my design - with no eye brows, a small face and uneven eyes on my face - she had very little to go by! Her expertise in beauty and facial design saved the day. Her skill at micro blading to create artful brow hairs that look real hair like - she is amazing! All the while sure I was satisfied with the progress. She made sure I was comfortable thru the microblading - even added more topical pain killer on my right eye brow when it was needed. I could not be happier with my new look...more open, brighter and yes...younger looking! Please do yourself a favor and...don't wait until you are 67 to get this done. Go see Michelle she is top notch and the microblading result is worth every penny!

At my first Hydrafacial-the machine wasn't working. My facialist spent the first 20 minutes attempting to get the suction to work, testing it on her arm, even resetting and cleaning the machine. No luck. She was able to apply a peel then proceed with manual extractions. While the facialist was professional and talented- I shouldn't be paying for a hydrafacial if I didn't receive the machine exfoliation and treatment. Aside it being a flawed atmosphere with obviously waiting to get the machine to work. I find this completely unacceptable and if management reached back out we could have found a solve. I offered to pay and receive a different facial with the machine down- but I was still charged the hydrafacial.

The space has this stunning, minimalist, cave-like hallway that immediately quiets your mind. It has a modern, earthy palette that is serene and honestly feels like a retreat you'd find tucked away in Europe. I had a facial with Layla, and she was incredible. She has the perfect balance of being professional, gentle, and completely dialed in to what your skin needs. The treatment was relaxing from start to finish and she explained everything in a way that felt personalized without being overwhelming. I walked out glowing, hydrated, smooth, and noticeably brighter. The whole experience felt intentional and elevated. Every detail, from the scent of the treatment rooms to the soothing lighting, adds to the feeling that you're being fully taken care of. If you're looking for a place that feels luxurious and a facial that leaves you looking and feeling refreshed, definitely book with Layla. The new Sand Spa location is absolutely worth the hype.

I usually go to Spa Palace in K. Town so I was super happy when my coworker told me about Riviera…read moreHealth Spa. It's a little closer drive from Long Beach and since gas it's crazy expensive, that's a win for me! The place was super clean, well organized, and labeled. I spent a few hours in the women's only area going back and forth between the hot tubs, cold plunge and wet and dry saunas. My muscles feel super happy! After I have myself a good scrub I got dressed and made my way down to the co-ed portion. There I found a good spot to plop my mat down and work on a paper since it is finals week for me. After that I made my way to the cafeteria for some Spicy Beef Noodle soup. I was surprised at the price tag--$20 for a bowl, but the portion and especially the taste justified it. Definitely ok for a once in a while treat! I ended my 6 hour spa day with sitting outside and working some more on homework before calling it quits. Overall, Riviera is such a gem. $30 for a spa pass to soak, sweat and eat your stress away, will always be worth it in my book. Can't wait to be back soon. :)

Went to Riviera Health Spa with two friends on March 24th. We booked the oil massage ($90 package,…read morewhich includes a day spa pass for $30), but we will never be coming back. After the service, we each received envelopes requesting tips. This was reasonable, but since it was never stated on the website, before, or even during, the service provided. The package we purchased sounded like everything was included, so unfortunately, we did not bring cash. My friend's masseuse, Choi, began giving us odd looks as we were packing up. As soon as we began to leave, we saw her standing by the door blocking our exit. She begins screaming at us, yelling "these three girls did not tip!"in front of all the patrons in the lobby. I ask the front desk attendant if there is any way I can tip with card because I don't have cash on me. She refers me to the ATM inside but when I show her that it fails, she doesn't budge, and the masseuse continues screaming, still blocking the entrance. The front desk lady tells us that just this once I can pay for a cash tip with my card, no option of leaving without one. I ask her to tip $36, and she pretends she doesn't hear me, saying, "$46?" twice after I repeat "no, $36" before shaking her head, sighing loudly, and saying, "if you really want to tip $36 then go ahead". I give her my card and she tosses cash down on the counter. The second the envelopes are stuffed, everyone's demeanor completely changes and suddenly they're thanking us, waving goodbye, and wishing us a good night and to come back again soon. My party including myself are minors. We were scared of what would happen if we didn't tip. I would have been happy to tip if the situation was handled any other way, but this was outrageous, since we were intimidated into not being able to leave. This was supposed to be a fun and relaxing birthday getaway trip, but ended up being the scariest and most frustrating part of our time in LA. I keep seeing the team reply to reviews similar to this with a ChatGPT generated response saying that this is not their standard, but there are so many reviews saying otherwise. Will be choosing any spa but this one from now on.
