I have gone to multiple hairstylist over the last three years due to the lack of professional skills such; as integrity, communication, empathy, & overpriced hairstyles. prior to Covid I tried to get an appointment but she was totally booked and then Cove it happened and I could never get in. now I saw her at my People's market back in August was able to make an immediate connection and she booked my appointment on the spot. She was punctual, sanitizing practices were on point, parking is good, quality of products is top notch, not to mention the vibes of good energy that radiates throughout her business and her hands. This by far has been one of the best haircare experiences that I have had in years being that my hair was dull, damaged & mis- shaped from another stylist 6wks ago. I grateful to be able to leave this salon happy, in a good mood it's worth the value. Reminder her business has been around for longer than 10 years... I definitely recommend seeing a beauty expert if you are new to Portland or looking for a new hairstylist

I came back A week later because that's when I was scheduled. And as far as going back there that was never my intention. I will continue to look for someone who knows how to do Geri curls.

Leanne is an expert colorist and corrective technition. I started seeing her in 1990 as the result of an inexperienced colorist causing my hair to look like brassy straw. She corrected the mess and has maintained my hard to color hair since. The two times that I went elsewhere; I ended up with "scarecrow hair" and the second time GREEN hair. I have VERY fine hair; which I wear long. Leanne knows how to cut thin fine hair, without losing volume. When Leanne cuts my hair I look like I have more hair than before she cut it! Leanne is very patient, professional and ALWAYS ON SCHEDULE. I HAVE NEVER WAITED MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES FOR HER. She knows color and is an EXPERT at color correction: without damage or breakage. Her prices are more than competitive. Candace is also an expert colorist and stylist. I have watched her for years and she is as amazing as Leanne. Candice Also does nails and waxing. She shapes my brows better than anyone I have ever used, in addition to tweezing those annoying hairs that appear on my face, that I can't get by myself. Allure meets ALL MY BEAUTY NEEDS. And both of the gals are kind and caring. I drive forty miles to have them take care of me. And I will never let anyone color my hair again!

The shop owner review: ONE star. Any client she had did not wear a mask. Neither did she. The entire time she rambled about how Covid is fake and anyone who gets the vaccine is an idiot. She made comments about the Democratic Party making everything a race thing and even stated that the recent event of the WHITE 21 year old male shooting and killing the Asian women at the massage parlor was not an act of racism. She boasted about how the military did not follow Biden and how Trump was a great president.

You keep thinking you need one, or that you should have made some time, but life gets busy. The other down side is- once you do find the time... getting into an appointment is a obstacle itself. I had a day off one afternoon and being nearby Gresham, I saw Amy on Yelp and decided- why not? Gave her a call and she answered and was able to get me in asap. She was flexible, courteous and kind. Once in, we went over what I would like to get accomplished and the price points. First off, prices are very much affordable. Secondly, she obviously has the experience and care. Noticed when she shampooed my hair the temperature was warm and perfect, and during the final rinse she switched to cool water. She was able to accomplish the length and texture of my hair without overdoing it and gave me the perfect look for my round face. At the end, my hair was silky smooth, soft to touch and cut beautifully all in a short time span. Since we had the time, I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and let me tell you. My eyebrows looks more fuller! I started off with thin small brows that was grown and unruly and without precision waxing and detailed tweezing she made it seem perfect! Bonus feature is she accepts the 10% discount when you arrive and check in on Yelp. Highly highly recommend for everyone to stop by and try Amy's! I would have loved to get photos, but she said she is in the middle of renovating and upgrading her sign and inside. *Covid procedures on hand. Hand sanitizers available before entering and she wore a mask the whole time, and I did the same.
