Great location! But they are almost never open anymore. Just 4 days a week. I tried to get another gift certificate for my wife for Christmas, but of course they weren't open when I swang by and the employee at the front desk told me she could do a gift certificate for me, but it was pretty much just an email I could print off myself and if I wanted an actual gift "card" they could mail me one. I was a guest at the Columbia Gorge Hotel for a wedding this past weekend. I was short on time to get my nails done before, so I figured going to this spa was a great option. I was so wrong. This was probably the worst mani/pedi I have ever received. The pedicure was first and took over an hour. I informed the nail technician at the beginning of the pedicure that I get in-growns on my big toes very easily and kindly requested she focus on making sure it was cleaned up (as well as everything else I assumed). There was no trimming whatsoever. I kept waiting to see when it would happen and it never did. Then she bumped one of my toes and had to start all over again with the polish. Also the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit in (more of a bench above a foot tub). Next came the shellac manicure. I told her ahead of time before she started my pedicure that I had shellac on my nails already and it needed to be removed. All other salons will start the removal process before the pedicure to give time for the polish to dissolve, but that did not happen. Instead she scraped away at my nails so hard and it took about 30 minutes to get all removed. A bit painful and a waste of time. Next, when the manicure actually started, I had no idea what she was doing. Similar to the pedicure, there was barely any trimming of the skin/cuticles around my nails so everything was left dry and cracked. When she started the shellac gel there were visible bubbles popping up and she gave me the option to start over or to try another coat. At this point I had been there over 2 hours and needed to get ready for the wedding (and she had another appointment waiting for her) so I said just do another coat and it would be fine. Finally, when all was finished and it was time to pay I thought it was a joke.... $145!!!!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?! At my normal salon in Portland which does a PHENOMENAL job and does so much more it's about $75 for shellac mani + spa pedi. I have gone to many nice, high end salons across the country and this was by far the most I've ever been charged. This was all on Saturday 8/3. It's now Wednesday 8/7. Two of my nails' color have already come completely off (1 on Monday, 1 today). See the photo I've attached. Also note: The salon only has the actual shellac brand. I prefer the OPI or DNC brands because I think they are better/stronger. TLDR: poor quality, takes over 2 hours, way overpriced. Avoid if you can!!!!!! read more

I had a fantastic massage and my first body scrub here last week. It was super relaxing and perfectly pampering. I would totally come back here with friends some time. I wish I had time to enjoy a glass of wine in the lounge afterward. I had been wanting to check out this hotel for awhile and the retro lobby/lounge are very charming with great views. But be aware - there is no lyft or uber service in Hood River so if you are staying elsewhere in town like I was and don't have a car (or your partner has taken it up the mountain to go snowboarding) plan ahead to call one of the two taxis in town! This is the perfect spot to unwind for a few hours. read more

Extremely Unethical - Very Poor Customer Service. I canceled my reservation for a massage. Whom ever I spoke to did not cancel the reservation on their schedule. I received a 48 hour email to confirm my massage appointment. I called Spa Remedease to cancel, the appointment that I had already canceled. Spa Remedease explained that it was to late to cancel, but if they could fill the appointment that would try so I would not be charged. Well, I was charged anyway. Even though I called several times spoke with the front desk. This is unethical, extremely poor service. read more

Martina and her team are amazing! Our wedding was on a Thursday and she accommodated my small bridal party for mani/pedis and massages. She was professional, flexible, and talented and her team was the best. As the bride, I had an excellent massage as well as a manicure/pedicure that has lasted three weeks. It was our 6 th wedding anniversary and because of COVID we couldn't go anywhere to celebrate. I had a friend who went to the hotel and said it was wonderful! I didn't know they were reopened.. I called the spa and the owner was so kind to help me plan our massage package! We had a couple massage and he had added cupping to his massage and after we had the espresso body scrub and a foot soak/massage with lunch brought to us along with champagne! The food was so good! And of course the massages and foot run was amazing! Probably the beat I've ever had! Denison was my masseuse ans he was so amazing! My husband had Hopeann and he said she was really good too. This spring my mom took me to the Columbia Gorge Hotel for an overnight "get-away" after I finished 8 months of chemotherapy. We are from out of state, so it took 3 hours to get there. Our plan was to eat lunch at the hotel, have pedicures (my first) and spend a relaxing night. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the parking lot was closed off and we could not get in. The work crew informed us that there was a power and water outage. We tried to call, but even the phones weren't working. This all turned into a confusing mess, and we ended up driving all over Hood River looking for food (I still get tired and nauseated easily) and another place to stay. The hotel and restaurant were understanding and canceled our reservations, but the SPA thought the power would come back soon, however by the time it did, I was not up to more driving and waiting. As it turned out, they charged my mom $285.00 for services we never used. I feel bad, as she was doing this for me. I hoped we could re- schedule, or perhaps get a discounted price, especially since this wasn't our fault. I do believe the SPA was insensitive to our predicament. They obviously cared more about getting their $285 than taking care of their customer's needs. read more

Decided Saturday morning to find a place to get a facial in the gorge. I remembered the Columbia Gorge Hotel had a day spa - but couldn't find any reviews. Called them first thing on Saturday and they were able to get me in for a early afternoon facial. Ordered a facial with the "works" (90 minute, Glycolic peel, etc.) - and was not disappointed. It was one of the best I have had! Molly was fantastic - the room was nice...and the experience was divine. Ended up purchasing a serum and moisturizer (which are amazing). We had the BEST mom and daughter massage and facial spa day at Remedease. Martina was so knowledgeable and managed to give both an incredibly relaxing AND informative facial. My skin is quite literally glowing (to the extent that I'm nearing 40 and - no joke - JUST GOT CARDED! #ThankYouMartina #SkinSoFresh). Then came the massage. I'm accustomed to regular 90 minute massages (bad back and neck issues) and was worried that only 60 minutes was going to feel short and unproductive. Boy was I wrong! From the arnica oil and gel to the weighted heating blanket and the adjustable bed to the cranial neck tray that hit all the right pressure points, not only was I completely relaxed, I felt like the 60 minutes worked so hard to relax and heal all of my problem areas. Mom and I were so relaxed - total puddles - at the end of the appointment that we sat outside at the hotel taking in the incredible views with a beautiful glass of wine (at happy hour prices!) to wrap up the perfect afternoon. We were staying at a different hotel that also has a spa, but we are SO GLAD we did our research and went to Remedease instead! My friend and I went to Spa Remedease for our pre-wedding pampering last weekend. We were to marry our men the next day at Cape Horn! We were treated so well and loved every minute of our sessions. We both received the combo packages which included a massage of our choice and a body treatment. I would've 100% drive from Vancouver to this place for any spa treatment. I enjoyed an Exquisite facial at the hands of Martina. She is super knowledgeable about skin, what causes it to not look its best and how to fix that. She's passionate about holistic approaches and shared her knowledge freely. The spa itself is a small but quite lovely. Felicia was awesome, two thumbs way up, actually more like her ten fingers. She took the time to ask me about any injuries or any trouble spots she needed to know about before she got started. She then recommended cupping, to get into those achy back muscles where I carry all my stress. I live a pretty active lifestyle and although I was familiar with this massaging technique I had never had it done before. I would hope that all my future experience live up to the quality and professionalism I received from Felicia. She was able to work out knots and kinks that other massages never could quite reach. This is the second bad review I have ever given in my life because I am so appalled that I feel people must be warned. Terrible business!! This place must be severely desperate for money. Never have I experienced such a rip off! I tried to cancel my appointment the day before because I came down with a terrible cold. The spa owner charged me anyway. I explained that I have little money and this was a huge loss and she didn't care. I would never go to a place like this. I have gone to many different salons and never have I been charged for getting sick! I canceled the day before so it was not at the last second. I was weary using my credit card to reserve appointment, but figured it was because of Covid. Many places make you pay with credit card online. She says I agreed to it, yet there was no agreement I signed or could read. I went back on after and could not find out how to see any agreement. Also, she said I could have credit to come in but I explained to her that I live 7 hours away so this wasn't feasible. At this point I would never even want to use any credit to a business like this. It's a scam. As I said, I have never seen a spa or salon do something so shady. Beware. read more

My high school bestie and I rolled into town for a sweet reunion and we both really wanted pedicures. The Spa only had one technician available for pedicures, but offered to book us a dual pedicure with one lovely lady by the name of Erin. She was super sweet and charming as she bounced back and forth from my toes to my friend's toes. I even picked the incredibly tricky color of black and she did a fantastic job! If you're not in a super big hurry, I totally recommend one technician doing two pedicures. I would highly recommend Erin, as she did a fantastic job and made us feel super special and pampered. read more
