I have never placed a review, BUT,, Every time I've been there ( 3 times) gotten the same gal. Very harsh and rushed. I paid for a full pedicure. I received an aggressive leg rub, one cote of polish, not even top cote. She seemed to focused on the client waiting for a wax! Will never go back. read more

Worst mani/pedi ever. Went in with a friend to treat her, had a woman in between us yelling the whole time so we couldn't talk. They cut my toenails down the quick and made one bleed. It was SO rushed, they didn't clean up my nail beds at all. And then they charged us $80 EACH. When I questioned it the woman yelled at me so fast I couldn't understand her. Most expensive mani/pedi ever and the worst at the same time--ouch. Could have had a nice spa treatment for the same price. Don't go here. read more

Came here with my mom and sister to get pedicures for my moms wedding. We had an appointment. Getting seated went alright but the water in the basin was cold and looked like it had been sitting there for a while. The overall service felt rushed, and the worst part was once they were done with paint, they made me walk over BAREFOOT to the chairs at the front of the salon. The floor was slippery and my sister slipped and almost fell. They had plenty of pedicure chairs open and hardly any customers waiting so there was no reason for this. It was super weird and uncomfortable. Will not be coming back. read more

Stopped by base on a recommendation from a waitress at the nearby restaurant. (Would've skipped had i based on the yelp reviews) They did a great job with cuticle cleaning. I selected the Spa Pedicure for add massage and it was well worth it. For Mani, I selected the "can't fail!" safe bet of solid polish w 2colors. He did a great job at the polishing as well. If I'm still in the area, I'll stop by again for my usual bi-weekly and may even try something with a bit more technical difficulties. read more

This family run and committed place is good. Do not let the 3 star rating FOOL ya! As an out of towner, I didnt know how it would be, but when I walked in, there were able to accommodate me on a busy summer day. They were full of pedicure people with only one spot and I got it. I spoke to the owner who also is involved in every aspect. He was really nice. My reg pedicure was great. Decent price. And tho not a high end atmosphere - seemed fine. Was cool enuf! Important on 80 degree day. REALLY great massage chairs!!! So come! read more

I went in to get my nails filed down while I was in hood river for the weekend cause I had them a little too long from my normal nail gal.... And when I say she did a hack job.... Good looking place. Nice pictures. I wanted to sort of try something I had seen online but it didn't quite turn out as I pictured. The lady that did mine had a little bit of a hard time understanding what I wanted. The quality wasn't too great either. She didn't clean my nails, I left with lines that were not uniform, a little patchy, and quite a bit of polish left on the skin around my nails. And she visibly got annoyed when she showed me and I kept wanting it to be fixed. Wouldn't go back. Also, the older gentlemen definitely got weird and quiet when he realized the guy waiting with me was my boyfriend. That we were a gay couple. read more

Went here for the first time today and had a great experience. Seems like a family owned business. Everyone was so friendly. I typically get my nails and hair done at a place that I'm a regular at in SE Portland but I have now found a place that is much closer to me and is just as wonderful. I had a shellac pedicure done and they did a terrific job and the price was reasonable too! The younger girl (daughter of the owner I assume) was so sweet and gave me a wonderful leg massage. I've come here several times for pedicures. Usually it's good, not great, but obviously good because I keep coming back. Today I took my daughter in, I promised her a special little date to get a manicure. WOW, how incredibly disappointing the experience was. Rushed, no hand massage for either of us. No cuticle clipping for me. Literally paid manicure price for her to have her nails painted. I had dipping done, I left with the glue absolutely covering the end of each on my fingers. My fingers look dried out from the products put on them. No oils at the end, lotions, absolutely nothing, they did the BARE MINIMUM. Yet charged full price. My little girl was really bummed that she didn't get her experience that I told her she would. We will be taking our business somewhere else. For 55 dollars plus a tip, a lot more care should have been put into their services. read more

Don't go here I received a gift certificate to Dove's and I have to say it's the worst pedicure experience I've ever had. I've been to a quick in and out pedicure shop many times in the past, so I know what to expect. Walked in, was abruptly asked what I wanted and told to pick a color. I did so and sat in the chair to soak my feet. I played on my phone for a while since the TV's in the salon we're playing a football game. It wasn't until 15 min later someone began my service. Halfway through, I noticed both technicians working were very sick! Coughing, runny nose, stuffy head, and in no condition to be providing such services to the public. There was one lady next to me also receiving a pedicure and I'm pretty certain she had the same concerns. I also think the technicians are mother and daughter and the teenage daughter is not licensed. It was very clear she did not want to be there, (understandable when you're sick!) Bickering back and forth with her mother... which makes for a very uncomfortable atmosphere for us clients. The mother/daughter duo switched back and forth from my feet to the other lady's feet, my guess is because the daughter can't use the tools (not licensed). In my mind I couldn't wait to leave. I handed my $30 gift certificate to the woman to pay for the $25 service and she asked if the rest would go to tip. I said sure and she ripped the cheap paper in half right in front of me and returned to the chairs. I walked out of there shaking my head like "what just happened??" I got in my car and sprayed hand sanitizer on my hands and feet, hoping to not catch whatever it is they had. 3 days later I started to feel ill and I've been in bed sick ever since! I like this place. The lady that did my nails was pretty good, but the sign said a full set, with removal of old set was 30 dollars. I gave her 40 because I only had 2 twenties and she didn't give me any change. It was odd, something may have been lost in translation. It's the best place Ive been to in town, so I will be going back. I'll just take smaller bills next time. Also, they are open Monday thru Saturday 9:30am to 7pm. Closed on Sundays. A stylist by the name of Lee (wouldn't give me his last name) did my friends nails horribly, AND on top of that, he made comments while doings the nails such as, "Oh I bet you're friends paying because you don't have any money, you probably use mommy and daddy's money...that is if you have a mommy and daddy" "I thought you were 11 with tattoos and parents that didn't care". I've been going to Dove for months to get my nails done and also for pedicures. The place is clean and sanitary and well maintained. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. Steven is who usually does my nails, I'm very picky and want them to look a certain way and I've never been disappointed with them. Its hard to find a place that you can count on theses days to be consistent and leave satisfied so that's why I return to Dove because I can always count on that. I highly recommend Dove!! read more

Dropped my teenage daughter and her friend off for a manicure. It was a horrible experience. When we called about prices, they did not mention the nail file charge. Then they did a rush job. Neither girl was happy with her nails. It was not a fun, relaxing experience at all. The man doing the manicure talked to the girls about his religion and how "Abortion is bad". Are you kidding me? He is so lucky they did not tell me this until after we were already home or I would have ripped him a new one. One star is toooooo many. read more

This was the worst experience I have had at a spa. I needed a relaxing pedicure and shellac manicure. I even had an appointment. I felt rushed the whole time and couldn't even use the massage chair at all because it would mess her up. The shellac was half the time in the light because she was in a hurry and no last coat. They did both at the same time which is normally fine, but one person running back and forth from toes the nails is ridiculous, trying to do way too many people. Literally right when they were done she told me I had to get up quickly because they were busy. I wanted to enjoy some of the massage chair while my toes dried and there were plenty other chairs for the people there. My toe got messed up when I walked over there and they wouldn't fix it. I will never be coming back. Please do not waste your time. Go to any of the other ones in Hood River. read more

Nice for quick mani/pedi. You have to bring your own nail file or pay 2$ for one which can be annoying. Overall work nicely done and lasted several weeks without chipping. If I was back in the area I would consider for a quick visit. read more

this place wasn't awesome, but not horrible. i had a shellac pedicure and it was pretty basic. probably my biggest complaint is that they seemed to have left out the last step when they were scrubbing my feet. when i got home, i noticed that the skin on my heels was rough, like it hadn't been buffed. they also didn't wrap the polish over the tip of the nail so i imagine it will chip faster than most. after all was said and done, the pedicure cost $52, including a $5 tip. needless to say, i won't be going back. that's far too much to pay for a less than mediocore pedi. i should also mention that a bride came in with her bridal party, 6 people total, and they had an appointment. it was as if the staff had no idea that they were coming in. they reassured her that everything would be okay, but it was pretty poor service. read more

I had read some reviews online and was lucky enough to get Steven as my nail tech. Not only does he come highly recommended but he put me at ease right away. My feet were pretty knarly and he didn't make me feel bad about their condition. Steven made friendly conversation and did an excellent job. He even cracked a few jokes with my 4 year old.
