The other day I got massage from Claudia, and it was excellent. I've been having problems with my shoulders, back, neck, and knees, and I thought getting a massage might assuage some of my pain, release some of the tension and stress that I hold in my body. Claudia was able to do just that. She concentrated on all of my "problem" areas, including my shoulders and back, and was able to work through some of the tense, hard points, which, while she worked on them, felt like small tight dense marbles being smoothed out into something softer, more malleable. She used organic essential oils on my knees, feet and back, and employed acupressure techniques on various parts of my body. Claudia was professional and knowledgeable, and she carried out her work in a graceful, easy-going, unassuming way. I will definitely go back to her the next time I'm in need of a massage. Claudia is an experienced massage therapist with many skills that treated my neglected muscles after a long summer of kayaking and fly-fishing. She listened and read my Intake form ( something some LMTs dismiss), and then addressed my specific areas in need. Claudia used the Grafton technique which helped to address my tight and dehydrated muscle attachments. It was the first time I experienced this technique, similar to Rolfling, but more targeted to tendon/muscle attachments. A great tool I suggest the weekend warrior to try with Claudia's treatments. I woke up the other day with a crazy sore neck due to falling asleep with my head at an odd angle while trying to watch the lunar eclipse from my bed. Yeah, not smart. Claudia was able to get me on her schedule and seriously helped the sore neck. She also worked on some chronic soreness on my SI area. About 36 hours out I noticed that I was pain free, including some areas on my feet that I had forgotten to tell Claudia about.
