Jack's is absolutely amazing to work with! We hired her and her lovely rescues for an intimate family gathering. She was able to customize a small package for us, with bunnies and guinea pigs. Jack's was super attentive with our autistic son, her patience and understanding allowed our son to enjoy the furry friends. The birthday girl's day was made, and all the children, including those of us with our inner child, had a phenomenal time! We highly recommend them for your next gathering!

We hired Lucky Jack's for our daughter's first birthday party and it was so much fun!!! The animals were adorable and definitely well loved. Jacks was professional and passionate about her rescue which I loved. She was easy to communicate with too. I definitely recommend her petting zoo!!

We loved having Lucky Jacks' Rescue Ranch at our son's birthday party. They came a little early and set up everything. They helped the children care for and pet a wide selection of animals. Their friendliness and joy throughout the day made the petting zoo such a nice treat. We also had a couple of autistic kids at the party, and this was engaging and therapeutic for them. I highly recommend you hire them for your next kids' party!

We used jacks boarding for our dog Buddy on a Friday-Monday and were so happy with our experience. She was so friendly and explained everything thoroughly about what we could expect for Buddy's stay. Meet and greet went great where should showed us the accommodations and Buddy got to familiarize with the area. While we were gone she sent updates and pictures of Buddy. Overall we were super happy, and it's always nice to feel at ease and know that our fur baby is taken care of while we were away.

I stumbled upon this excellent veggie stand while shopping for chicken and eggs at Maust's Egg Farm…read moresince they are located on site. The veggies at Ian's stand are grown locally and are excellent quality. I was impressed with the variety and have loved everything I've been cooking! I bought some radishes bc I love to snack on them whole and plain - and they have been just delicious. I also bought a giant carrot and some green summer squash to throw in a soup - but I ended up making the squash as a side dish to go with my roasted chicken. That squash was incredible! Such flavor and so soft - infinitely more flavorful (and huge) than any of the same type I've gotten at the grocery stores.  I've been using the giant carrot and cucumber I got in salads and they're also so flavorful and delicious. I used the onion and garlic in my roast chicken and made mashed potatoes with some yellow potatoes from Ians - all fantastic. I'm blown away by just how much more intense the flavors are as opposed to veggies from Ralphs I usually get. The staff were so friendly and their prices were exceptionally reasonable - I paid $10 for my whole haul so I'll definitely be stocking up on veggies from here anytime I'm making a chicken run at Maust's farm lol! Ian's farm stand is located right next to the petting zoo on Maust's property and is easy to find. There's plenty of parking on site as well - it's unpaved but in excellent condition so no issues there. Highly recommend veggies from Ian's stand!

There were some food vendors and community sponsors there as well which was nice. Event wasn't super crowded and everyone had their chance to look at the animals and pet them when possible and allowed to. We parked where the other cars parked and had to take a dirt path up to the ranch, so make sure you wear comfortable closed toe shoes and some clothes you don't mind getting dusty. The area doesn't have much in terms of shade for people especially if you're out in the open, so put on some sunblock, sunglasses, and maybe a hat. All the workers were friendly and welcoming and are there to answer any questions you may have. I love that the animals were friendly, comfortable, and are rescues. There's little signs with bios, info about the species and their personal stories too. Love that. My favorite are the little piggies and the tortoises. Can't wait for a chance to come and visit again.

So we ended up parking by the Community Center and walked on over instead, which honestly wasn't bad at all lol. Definitely bring cash, though!! Reception isn't the best here, and you'll more than likely lose signal :( Other than that, it was really cool seeing all the different farm animals they had (goats, sheep, chickens, a pig, a mini horse, dogs, tortoises, ducks, and more!) Plus, there were so many unique vendors to check out :)

The WildHaven Ranch is a hidden gem in the forest communities…read more If I were to describe this place, it is a wild life rescue and refuge for animals that cannot be returned back into the wild. The privilege of visiting this and the education one receives while observing the animals is far different than the experience at a zoo or amusement park. The people that run this place are NOT entertainers. They have a passion and a love for the animals they care for and it is evident in their enthusiasm and dedication. This is a wild life refuge and a great educational experience for anyone who takes the time to visit. The staff have a lot to share. Your admission cost goes toward the care and feeding of these wonderful creatures which would otherwise have perished in the wild. There are Reptiles, Coyotes, Bears, Bobcats, Raccoons, Bald Eagles, Turkey Vultures, and a magnificent Golden Eagle in their care. These magnificent animals can be observed up close where they can be appreciated. Keep in mind that the price of admission is not for profit but instead goes towards operational costs of care and feeding of these amazing creatures. Make reservations because space is limited and the staff is dedicated to provide visitors with the best and most informative experience which will increase every visitors appreciation for the creatures that live around us. They cannot take unplanned walk-in visitors. Special Note: To locate this place, pay careful attention to the directions on their website. Your GPS will NOT accurately guide you to this location. They have an alternate location that the GPS will find. Then follow the signs to the entrance to the refuge compound.
