Came back the other day and ordered a burger, fries, and drink. Came out to $19!! And the fries was a small and the drink was a small. Again, they don't tell you the total until you're at the window. Do yourself a favor. Go to any of the other similar spots less than 1 mile from this place. Save yourself a few $$$ for the same food, if not better. read more

I've been getting the party breakfast burrito (wet) here for about 20 years, it's really good! But I never had their hamburger, until last month. WOW I loved it! The devil is in the details. The lettuce is leafed, not shredded, and it has pickles. Other places have shredded and no pickles. I asked for extra crispy fries and ate almost half of them on the way home. Ordered two cheeseburger avocado specials -- no prices posted at the drive-thru, but figured maybe $15 each max. Pull up to the window and boom: $45.38 for two meals. Apparently avocado and bacon must be made of gold. When we asked, the cashier said it's "because you got avocado and bacon" like that explained everything. And the drink? Comes in a thimble. I was going to a little stir crazy because it was a bit of a wait, but they did look busy inside for their defense when they finally came to charge me giving me what look to be a 10 ounce cup of Coke and telling me $18 I scratch my head and said It's 9.99 for a burger combo and the worker said you order it with cheese. This is a mom's and pop's burger spot. Nothing fancy. Portions are large, and my family can eat left overs for multiple meals. Some believe the prices are high, but you have to consider the portions purchased. My family loves the burgers, pastrami, and deluxe quesadillas. My favorite is the lunch boxes. You get your item of choice and it comes with fries, onion rings, fried zucchini, and a small ranch dressing side. We have ordered (in advance) the party burrito for Super Bowl, small get togethers, and birthdays. It comes wet or dry, salsa, chips, and pickled veggies/jalapeños. This restaurant is unfortunately going downhill. I used to enjoy coming here, but every time I come, that becomes less and less. Now they charge you a "service fee" if you want to use a card, which I believe is illegal. Also, the quality of the staff has gone downhill as well. I placed an order with two items...a burrito and a drink. The order was repeated to me. When I got to the window I paid and I was handed only my burrito. When I asked about my drink, the lady laughed and said oh I forgot to charge you. How hard is it to remember two items? There was nobody else in the drive-through and there was nobody else in the restaurant. As I came in immediately noticed the smell of dirty mob, my feet sticking to the floor smh. As I was ordering i noticed that the cook and cashier were handing food without cloves, the cashier touching money then food, l also working the fires station. First, steak sandwich "special" and chicken breast sandwich "special" was a total of $37. This isn't a great place by any means, and avg of $18 for a combo is just ridiculous. After checking the reviews on Yelp I noticed lots of people talking about the food overpriced and being charged incorrectly. When I asked for the price check in my bill, I was given three different prices until they finally got it up to $36 and gave me $1 back. "None of the menus have the correct price." That alone, I'll never come back. Second, they have a B rating. I know, eat at your own risk and this is my fault for ordering after I knew this fact. I decided to check why they received a B rating and found out one reason if because of improper defrosting of their poultry. That's enough, I read no more. I won't come back. Lucky guys never disappoints, they have delicious burgers but also great Mexican food. We even had them cater an event a couple of years ago and everyone was impressed by the food. Their drive thru is usually busy, also if you dine in your order is taken by the same person working the drive thru so you don't get amazing service but I think the employees are doing their best trying to keep up. read more

Very Good Street Tacos Sunday, January 24, 2021 Drove from West Los Angeles to Downey to get a COVID-19 first vacination. Took about a half hour and we were done. The wife says she's hungry. Me, I can eat anytime. So I spot this local Mexican restaurant with a drive through. They had a taco special for $7.50. Four street tacos and a drink. I ordered two Carne Asada and two Pastor plus a Coke. The order came with two different little containers of hot sauce. The Chile Verde was my choice. I thought the street tacos were great. Whoever was working drive through 06/21/23 around 3pm has the worst customer service and has no training in being clean I ordered 1 bacon avocado cheeseburger combo with a additional cheeseburger on the side and for my toddler I ordered the chicken nuggets meal, the rude lady runs to the back and grabs the nuggets with her bare hands after working the register yuck! When I told her that's unsanitary she got angry and told me she didn't touch money, then she decides to serve my child coke with out even asking and when I told her my kid doesn't drink soda she decided to tell me there's nothing else she can give me and that's not her problem.
