I've to the other Lucky Boy in Pasadena and wanted to see which I Liked more. Well this location really feels like a winner and faster service than the larger store. I had the Gyro and was happy it was lamb, but I think they put Bleu Cheese on instead of yogurt sauce. Otherwise, it would be a four in my book...

This place is pretty cool if Tops is closed. Which is why me and my boyfriend came here...I really wanted zucchini fries and they delivered on quantity but not quality, the ranch is what really made them. We both got cheeseburgers and they were okay but will def not come here again it's basic, period.

If you're in the area and you like breakfast burritos this is the spot you need to go to. I'm not even kidding when I say one burrito can definitely feed two people. The burritos come with some of the most amazing salsa I've ever had too. I would recommend either having them cut it in half for you or eating it with a fork and knife because they stuff these burritos and it might start to fall apart while you're eating. The service is like fast food service, you order at the counter and they'll call you when the order is ready. There's some indoor seating and outdoor seating. They also have their own parking lot which a plus.

Got the breakfast burrito and added a pancake to it (secret menu item) This thing was delicious. They give you so much food when you order you will definitely get two meals out of it. Classic breakfast diner vibes 63+ years of perfection wrapped in one epic breakfast burrito.

Came here about 10pm, and they only allowed to go orders because they close at 10:45pm. The wait for our food wasn't long, maybe 10 mins from the time we ordered. We ordered a basic cheeseburger, pastrami burger and a small chili cheese fries. The fries were slight soggy by the time we arrived at our hotel, about 10 mins away. The chili was good and the burgers are good and messy. It's definitely a good place to go for a neighborhood burger joint. Their burgers are filling especially the pastrami burger, tons of pastrami.

So, the history is what brought me to Lucky Boy. The prices are why I won't be back. I was blown away that a pastrami cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings was an eye watering $24.09. Like...pardon me? This was a first visit and it will be my last. Kind of explains why the place was a ghost town inside. How disappointing.

This is my go to spot for a good breakfast burrito or any burrito for that matter. They also have phenomenal burgers. I don't think I have ordered anything that I didn't like.

Lucky Boy is a Pasadena classic! The burritos are huge and super satisfying -- definitely get the special breakfast burrito, it's the best one . The service is always quick and friendly, and the staff are great. I haven't tried anything else yet, but the burgers always look amazing. Some people call these LA's best breakfast burritos -- I'm not sure if I'd go that far, but they're definitely very good. The walnut location has that classic diner vibe, with plenty of parking, which is a huge plus. A true Pasadena staple that's absolutely worth checking out!

If you like cleaning your own tables before sitting down to eat and if you like dirty floors! I found the spot for you! Food looks so good it stays on the floor! Service is clean your own table and clean up after everyone else ! Hope the food is good. Wait and see!

Half empty box of unsalted fries.

I just got back from Lucky Boy's on Walnut about 10 minutes ago, opened my bag, and what a disappointment. I ordered one thing, large fries. What I was given was a half -empty box of fries. I tasted the fries and they weren't even salted. I guess Pasadena's Lucky Boys doesn't try anymore.

"Greek Wrap"- could not finish this. Should be pulled from the menu. The lettuce is brown

Medium to medium+ is probably the sweet spot even for those who love spicy food like me. Hot is a little too spicy and takes away from enjoying the chicken which is always juicy and delicious. Medium+ allows you to really enjoy both the meat and the seasoning while still having a great kick. Might have to try medium next time just to compare. The mild is just that, but does have a kick do you might want to go country if you can't take any heat. Bread was pretty hard this time. Not like it's a major part of the meal, but would have been an issue if we wanted to eat it. Pickles were spectacular as always $13 for a quarter bird, stale bread and three pickle slices is a bit pricy, but worth it every once in a while. This was a delivery order, so can't speak to the service this time and didn't factor in delivery charges but appreciate the food prices are same in store as the delivery app.

I've never heard of a pastrami sandwich dipped before. Fantastic twist on what's normally a Jewish Deli experience in LA, with beautiful sliced meat, maybe add cheese (Swiss of course) and deli mustard. THIS is NOT that type of sandwich. Very thin sliced, maybe more like shaved pastrami. Bread fresh - I assume baked there? Dipped. Wow. That's all I had. Nothing else. Folks were ordering fries and burgers (they looked good). At approximately 8:00 p.m., I personally saw an employee come out of the bathroom wearing gloves and carrying two bags of trash, which appeared to be from the bathroom. Without changing his gloves, he then picked up two of the towels used to wipe down the tables and proceeded to wipe down almost all of the dining tables. He also wiped down the counter area where customers pick up their food. The employee was wearing a hat and black glasses. I was sitting there watching this happen, and I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Handling bathroom trash and then immediately cleaning dining tables and a food pickup area with the same gloves is an extremely serious sanitation concern. I am writing this review because management needs to be aware of what happened and address it immediately. Proper glove changing and sanitation procedures are essential in any restaurant, especially when employees are moving between bathroom cleaning and areas where customers eat and pick up their food. After witnessing this, my family and I will not be returning. Someone in management needs to take this seriously and make sure employees are properly trained on sanitation and food safety procedures.

I have such fond childhood memories of going there with my parents and grandparents and receiving what seemed like foot-tall soft-serve cones. They also make the best malts, terrific burgers, and excellent deli sandwiches. The pastrami on rye and grilled cheese are dependable favorites--or you can splurge on a classic banana split. Add fries, with or without chili, and you have the perfect old-school meal. When I was growing up, they called what most people know as a chocolate-and-vanilla twist a "ripple." Whenever I am in Pasadena visiting family and friends, a stop at Connal's for a ripple, shake, burger, and fries is practically mandatory. Some places serve food; others hold generations of memories.
