Live this place, Olga is my favorite. They always are very proactive if there is a problem and will always make it right!

My mother comes to this nail salon all the time and absolutely loves it. Olga is her manicurist and does a fantastic job! I was in town for a few days and went with her. Henry did my nails. I was very disappointed with my manicure. Definitely not worth the $28. He rushed it. Didn't do clean lines on my nails and there was polish on the sides of my nails. It looked very sloppy. I got a GEL manicure on Tuesday this week. It is Thursday and my nails are already chipping. I am sorry, but when you are paying $30 for a gel manicure, that thing better not chip for at LEAST 3 weeks. Very disappointed in Henry's work and upset that my nails are already chipping. read more

Clean place with attentive service. Tons of polish colors, and comfy, new, clean chairs and equip. I'll be back.

Been coming here awhile but my last appointment I booked online and when I got there they said the tech left early and they forgot to block out her appointments. They didn't even try to accommodate me. I won't go back again! Poor customer service read more

I made my appointment online with ease. I was called the evening prior to my appointment and was asked if I could move my appointment, which I could and did. When I arrived I spoke to the kind and welcoming front desk person who thanked me again for being flexible with my appointment . He was helpful and helpful as I chose my colors. The pedicure was relaxing and my technician was very nice to speak to and work with. I then headed over for my powder dip where my manicurist was meticulous and friendly. As I did move my appointment and had to wait a bit when I arrived, I was offered a glass of wine (I'm not much of a drinker but the offer was lovely). I did not book an ombre appointment online, but my request was accommodated. The shop is clean, high end, and bright, like a true spa! I will be back because the people were kind, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere is posh and perfect for some self-care and pampering. read more

Tony did an awesome job on my nails. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure, picked a bright yellowish neon color and he painted a few nails just to make sure that I liked the color when it dried as he didn't want me to go home and be disappointed after paying. He also did 4 coats of polish because the color was a bit translucent, no pun intended. anyway, I was not disappointed and it's been a week and a half and my finger nails have not chipped! I also had gotten them done for a week long work event South Carolina where I was doing a lot of lifting and physical things and nothing has chipped. How awesome is that? I live up north but family lives 5 minutes away from Lucent so whenever I'm down here I'll be coming in to see Tony read more

The facility is very nice. I made an appt and showed up 1/2 let. My mistake. I apologize profusely and was fine with waiting or rescheduling. When I made the appt I put first available. The nice woman up front said it was no problem. The woman I was scheduled with had another appt coming in soon so she gave me to someone else. No problem. I sit down and Linda gets started. She was very sweet. The woman who I had the appt with originally came over and asked me if o realized that my appt was a half hour earlier. I told her yes and apologized again. She gave me this dumb ass look and then just stood there. I'm sorry that I was late but there's really no need to harass your customers especially when it's the middle of the day during the week and there isn't another soul in here. I had a nice manicure but I got gel mood polish. It complete chipped off of three of my nails with in 5 days. Not happy about paying $28 for a main that lasted 5 days. Unlikely that I'll be back. read more

The best experience: I treated myself to a pedicure and am glad that Yelp led me to Lucent. First, the entire place is clean and classy with a very relaxing decor. The pedicure process was extremely clean and sanitary (the nicest, cleanest place I've been to). The two ladies with worked on me ('Signature' pedicure, highly recommended) were professional and highly attentive. And Julie makes a great cup of coffee! I'll be back for sure. read more

Lucent was amazing!!! After the horror of Flory Nails in Belmar, we were really looking for someone to fix the problem. We ended up here and are BEYOND thrilled we did. The entire staff was so accommodating and worked really hard to not only schedule appointments but get us exactly what we were looking for. I'm getting married this week and they certainly did not disappoint. They were super clean, AMAZINGLY nice, and did a freaking awesome job. I will absolutely be back. Fong was fantastic, Julie is the sweetest person ever, and Nancy was really kind. We love lucent and can't wait to come back! read more

The BEST nail salon at the Jersey Shore. I have tried pretty much every nail salon from Neptune to Point Pleasant but they were always lacking 'something' that deterred me from coming back. Not Lucent Nails... I made an appointment via online booking (which is ridiculously convenient) and was taken within five minutes of arriving. I had Karissa, who did both my pedicure and gel manicure, and I can't stress enough how meticulous she was. She made sure to get every bit of cuticle off, and even suggested a third coat for my nail color since it was so sheer. I absolutely loved her and will be back! Believe the Yelp reviews - this place is that good! read more

The last time I was there I had a pretty flawless appointment. I got a regular mani-pedi. I just wanted peace and quiet. It was relaxing and my nails looked great. I'm very hard on my hands, my polish last more than a week, which is a new record for nail polish and me. The hardest part is finding the front door which made me feel silly. Employee smoking outside not the most welcoming site. I'm going back today. They are the only place open past 6pm so I'm grateful they are nice! read more

Always the best service. Always accommodating. Venue is welcoming w. Warm, inviting & relaxing colors. Prices are reasonable for the svc they offer...many of these services are not offered at other local salons. Keep up the awesome work y'all offer & do. read more

I almost never go to nail salons for waxing, but I made an exception today. MISTAKE! Although they took me in early, it was the worst wax I have ever had. I have never had someone not cleanse the area and apply powder prior to waxing. She did not hold the skin when removing the muslin. Her hands were sticky from the wax, because it was so messy, so each time she moved her hands, it pulled my skin. When I got to the front I let the owner know it was not a good experience. I was charged less than the service I requested. I assumed that was because I told her about the situation. NOPE...I called back to say the service did not remove all of the hair I requested...I was told I was charged less because they did not do the full service. Once I got home I had to clean up the areas that WERE waxed and then complete the job. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Great job! I had UV hell on my nails that I couldn't remove for the life of me. I had a gentleman in the back take his time and remove them. He actually educated me about the downfalls of UV gel and took his time with me. I also asked him to rush because I was on my way to another appointment. He was gentle, meticulous and quick. Couldn't ask for better service. This salon is totally out of my way, but when I'm in the area, I would absolutely go! Great service and great price point. read more

We keep returning to Lucent Nails & Spa because of the consistent gracious and professional treatment we receive. You will always be greeted at the door and asked if there is anything you would like to have to drink. Tony, my nail tech, has been excellent and consistent in providing excellent service. The pedicure room remains the best part of the salon with an oasis away from the noise of everyday life. I highly recommend Lucent Nails & Spa! read more

In my opinion this salon fills a missing niche in the plethora of nail salons in NJ. A QUALITY manicure in a very clean, relaxing and spa-like environment. Usually you just don't get both. I've been to two different places that are more spa oriented than the average salon and found the manicures to be disappointing. Not here. There's a reason why when I have the time I drive the hour each way to come here with a perfectly good salon 5 min away from me that gives me a similar quality of service but without the ambience. It's beautiful, it's clean, the pedicure chairs are comfortable and equipped with wifi connected iPADs. There's refreshments- juice, wine or water, fruit or cookies. There is seriously nothing to want for. I can definitely say it's like the owners thought of all the things that detract from a nail salon visit and made sure they didn't do that with theirs. The website is fully functional and informative with the ability to book, choose your tech, descriptions of the services and the length of time the services take, and email confirmation of your appointment with the ability to go in and change/cancel if you need to! No charge for callus treatments, no rush on your services even when they are busy...it's wonderful. This is the kind of place where you can feel free to use the brands of polish that may not be familiar with and not worry because the products are quality. My gel manicures last 3 weeks before showing signs of chipping. 3 weeks! I work in a lab and wear gloves often for long periods of time. That kind of humidity in the past has not been kind to my gel manicures but not when I get my nails done here and there's no peelability even after that. My regular manicure that I got when I first came lasted over a week without chipping which again unheard of for me. This place is a real gem. All the staff is knowledgeable and skilled, and the owners Steven and Julie are great. The only thing that would make this 5 star for me is if there was the complimentary shoulder rub post-manicure. I have noticed though that most salons are no longer doing this so maybe it's just not a thing anymore? But seriously. Absolutely amazing. Go, you will not regret it. read more

Decided to get a pedicure on a whim and Yelped this place. Made an online appointment through the app and had an awesome experience. Atmosphere is lovely, staff is really nice and I got a great basic pedicure. The owner was at the register and way also super nice; I'm glad to have found a good nail spot close to home. read more

Everyone was really nice but the tech I got didn't really know what she was doing. When I said something about the shape she just said she didn't understand what I had asked for. So she was just doing what all the young girls like. If she didn't understand I would've explained it again or differently. She put my acrylics under the uv light. It was before there was any sort of gel on there. Acrylics don't cure. So chances are I won't be back. read more

I've only gotten amazing pedicures here!! They really take their time and know what they are doing when it comes to shaping toe nails - this place goes above and beyond for a regular pedicure!! Everything is cleaned to a T, and the techs really are skilled in just about everything they do! read more

I can't say enough positive comments about this salon. The customer focus- each person knew my name and checked with me to make sure I was ok. As well as every other client!! Great hospitality! This is the cleanest salon I've gone to, and I've been going to salons for close to 20 years. The tools are new per guest..... that's not what you get at any salon in a 20 mile radius..... Not to mention the quality of nail polish, staff, and atmosphere- clean-beautiful-comfortable!!! I won't be going anywhere else!! Thank you!!! read more

My friends at Lucent NEVER disappoint! They go out of their way to give you exactly what you want. I tend to ask for things a bit out of the box and they always deliver. This place is by far the worst nail salon you could go to. They pay no attention to you or your needs. Only one person in the whole salon knew how to do a french manicure which is a basic thing. They go on their phone. They even dropped the phone on me. They say they will give you a credit but why would i want to come here again if they already did a poor job. read more

I have been here twice and both times the greeting was awkward. I did not feel overly welcomed especially this last time when after I was already seated a staff member questioned me; asking if I had an appointment when a different staff member had seated me. Both times I was there the owner(male) was not friendly as well. As a matter of fact I was so put off by his interactions with me the first time the technician told me that he was normally friendly but just having a bad day which is why I went back. The pedicure was wonderful both times but my manicure didn't last 2 days. The place is very clean. I'm hesitant to return do to the unpleasant interactions at the beginning of each appointment I had. read more

Have been here a few times before. Went in today and asked for an eyebrow wax. The woman rolled her eyes and looked annoyed. I tried to be nice but she was rude. I've been looking for a good nail place in this area without luck for some time. I'm so happy this place is open. It is super clean, and a really warm environment. The owners are very nice making sure you are comfortable. There's so many unique colors to pick from as well. The chairs are fantastic because they are new and working wonderfully. There are different setting even for the strength of pressure you want and you can tell the difference!!Each chair has its own iPad attached. Can't wait for my every 2 week appointment. read more

To the manager or owner of Lucent nail, I'd visit your place several days ago with my sister inlaw to get her gel manicure done, the salon looks great love the service, but the only thing that didn't look professional was a technician wearing booty short and had her bra hanging out, very low class, seem like she was going to the beach, she did my sister inlaw gel manicure in like 15 minus, is that the kind service you get paying that price doesn't seem very professional. You have to respect the customer and give them the service that they pay for, I hope that the owner or manager get this message and tell there technician not wear clothing like that in a beauty salon read more

This business is what customer service is all about. After leaving yesterday with my nails done the staff could tell that I wasn't all that happy with the outcome. The pedicure was amazing and the manicure was good but not exactly what I asked for. I received a phone call from Steven to make sure I was happy and that I could come back whenever to have it fixed. I returned today and I am beyond thrilled with my new manicure, Nancy is truly a magician. Thank you all so much!! read more

Let me just start by saying my nails look terrible, uneven and chunky and sparkly , when i specifically asked for a plain french and expressed i hate sparkles. took 3.5 hours for me to get a gel pedicure and dip nail. When I went in for my appointment they did my pedicure first which i have to say went really well. A younger guy did my pedi. Then when it came time to do my nails he asked me to wait a few minutes for the woman (who i think is the owner). She was wondering in and out of the salon. Took about 10 min to get me. Once we finally sat down she started to file down my gel and told me I needed to soak for a few minutes. She left me soaking for 30 min so she can go do another client, i then told her I needed to go, and to please have someone else do my nails. To which she replied she will only be another 5 min. 20 min go by, she has another employee take the rest of my gel off and then finally starts working on my nails. The entire ordeal took about 3.5 hrs .. I should've been in and out, I made an appointment in advance , there was no reason to make me wait. To top it off it was probably the most expensive mani pedi I have ever gotten and it not only was an awful experience but also they look terrible! read more

This is a gem of a nail salon at the Jersey Shore! Went here today for the first time for a pedicure. I had called ahead just to make sure they could accommodate me. For those of you posting negative comments, don't always think that "Walk'-ins are always welcome" means that they can immediately accommodate you!! Call ahead! This place is beautiful!! The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was and that it did not smell at all like a nail salon. The owner, Steve greeted me upon arrival and asked if I wanted anything to drink. I have never been asked this at a walk in nail salon EVER! There were lots of colors to choose from. I was immediately escorted to a pedicure chair. A beautiful brand new massage chair with an ipad attached to it! My pedicure was fabulous. I didn't have time for anything more than a basic pedicure today, but I will for sure come back for some of their other services. Everything from their basic pedicure to 1.5 jelly pedicure with hot stone massage was SO reasonably priced This just makes me want to go back more often rather than just saving it as a special treat. Steve also checked in with me while my nails were drying to ask how my pedicure was. I wasn't there for very long, but this was truly one of the best nail salon experiences I have ever had. Will be back for sure! read more
