Really great customer service and selection. I wanted to get a pair of western boots as a souvenir from my visit to Texas, but I knew next to nothing about them, the different styles, how to wear them, how they should fit. The very helpful staff helped me decide on a beautiful pair of "roper" boots (which turned out to be much more practical for me) that fit my feet like they were tailor made. Yes they were expensive, but I have to say they are one of the nicest pairs of shoes I've ever owned. I wear them all the time now, for both work and play. They look amazing, they're super comfortable, and seem like they'll last me a lifetime. I definitely plan to go back the next time I'm in the Houston area. read more

I ordered a pair of $5000 boots for my wife's birthday but I needed her to try them on. They brought the boots in on a Wednesday evening and we were 15 minutes away from picking them up from Thursday afternoon when they text and told me they sold them. They were the last 8 1/2 in existence and if I wanted I could order them and they would be ready in 12 months. Combined we have had 11 pairs of Luchese boots and that is where it will end. Horrible experience at this location today. Perhaps they should stick to boot sales. I purchased a new belt to go with my Clint Orms buckle set. Important to note they themselves are Clint Orms dealers and have a display case in the store. I asked if they would be able to transfer my buckle set to the newly purchased belt. This was my mistake. They proceeded to totally strip the screw out as they frantically tried to remove the pin from the tip piece. She continued to drop my buckle on the ground as she carelessly tried to literally pry the sterling silver off the belt. Completely disregard for my product. After 15 minutes of failed attempts to remove the hardware she took it to the back where there were "more tools". She magically appeared with the hardware removed yet the screw still in the belt....so she had gone back for more prying and stripping while in the process scratching my silver. Next she attempted to get the hardware on the new belt which needed a hole punched for the new screw. She was unable to operate the belt punch. I asked for the manager who was also completely clueless as to operating any belt tools. They resorted to simply screwing the leathers in with no hole simply smashing the leather into the piece hoping it will hold. TRULY SHOCKING EXPERIENCE. Clint Orms would be ashamed they handle his product as such. read more

This was my first, and a long awaited, opportunity to visit a Lucchese store. The boots, shoes and all else were beautiful. Great selection and unlike many others, they had my size. Yay! Thankfully, Leland, my customer service team member introduced me to the boots, styles, materials and most importantly, sizing. We were fortunate enough to have Kadien Janson assist my husband (who is blind) with determining which exotic boot skins would be best for his feet. Kadien is very knowledgeable in the properties of the skins. He'd already received a wallet and belt as gifts in Caiman, when we decided Ostrich would be better. Kadien handled the exchanges for us and had the belt sent to our home (not available in store). Finally, she worked to have his new boots 'stretched' in a brief window so he could wear them to an event. All around excellent customer service from Kadien, thank you! read more

the stars maybe big and bright in texas but not a the new Sugar Land location. you are not going to make any sells judging a book by its cover. i wanted to buy boots. i'm a sure thing. i left the store feeling disappointed. i can't believe you were not willing to help me find a pair. you guys need to get it together. treat people as they are buying. i had called the store location in the village a few years back and was treated well. there are plenty of other cities that have locations and other companies that if i said i want boots they will help. not sure if each store is independent or how employees are paid. i will not be coming back or if given the opportunity i'll tell my friends to shop elsewhere first. kinda like a certain makeup store in the galleria with a black and white theme. i pretty much stay out and go to ulta or saks where they try to help me find what i want. i'm not perfect but i still do what i can to take care of my customers. read more

I am re writing my review of my Lucchese boots. I received my resized pair of boots yesterday and they fit great! Mind you, this was a long road to get to the re-sized boots, but I'm glad I had it done. Having many pairs of Lucchese boots, my husband purchased the same boot for me to replace a damaged pair (my damage). Same size, same style, unknown to us...different country of manufacture. Lucchese had switched plants from Mexico to Texas in the time between our orders. A size 10 boot now fit like a 10.5. I was told by Lucchese that the Mexican made boots run a bit more snug than their Texas counterpart. Because I wore the boots I could not return for a 9.5. It was a lot of back and forth and what I feel, unnecessary stress on my end to get these boots to fit right. I moved forward with the resize, which voids any warranty and now they fit perfect. They also look good too. I moved my 1 star to 3. Beautiful boots, I would try on before buying, and definitely don't wear! read more

This was my first time visiting a Lucchese store; a friend of mine got a pair of boots from their Austin location and really liked them. I haven't worn cowboy boots since I was a teenager during my trail riding days, but I always told myself I would get a pair for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. I wasn't really planning on buying boots anytime soon, but my friends boots were really nice so I thought I would check out the store. Upon entering I noticed the upscale Texas feel of the store. Wood ceilings and hides of all kinds all around. I was greeted by David. He was friendly and professional. I told him I was just checking out the store and not really looking to buy, yet he still treated me like someone set on purchasing. I've had issues in the past visiting upscale establishments. I would often feel like staff/employees didn't take me seriously as a customer/patron. Not this visit. I didn't know there were so many types of skins that were made into boots. David told me about the various animals whose skin are made into clothing and accessories and even offered me a drink. I think that adds a level of separation from other establishments. There was a female employee also working and as soon as another person walked in she immediately greeted them. To me that shows they care about the experience of their guests as opposed to letting the brand sell itself. I ended up not purchasing, but I did see a few pairs of cowboy boots I liked and I was pleasantly surprised to see they make boots in contemporary styles such as Chelsea. I'll definitely keep them in mind when I'm ready to purchase. read more

Not one person greeted me as I walked in, did not ask if I needed help or if I wanted to try anything on. There was at least 3-4 workers and only one other person in the store. All of the service reps I spoke with were outstanding, but Jesus took service to the Ritz Carlton level! He followed up with me on his day off!?? Service is obviously a priority at Lucchese! I used to love Lucchese products until I had this recent experience. I returned a belt for a different size and the store shipped it off to the factory to have the correct size made. I was told it would take 8 weeks to have the belt made and for it to arrive. However, when I called for updates on my item, 3 months later, no one could give me a straight answer. In addition, I was not provided a tracking number, an email, or any communication whatsoever. Beyond frustrating, when you know that your very expensive item is lost somewhere. It's easy for your customer service to blame the issue on poor management, but it would be easier for you to own up to your mistake and reconcile it immediately. I am now leaving a very dissatisfied and disappointed customer. Lucchese - you have truly dropped the ball this time. read more

Love us some boots here! Now some of the workers not so much. Some like to engage and some are not as informative as others. There is one person from there that is exceptional and above the rest! But..the boots are too notch and we love the selection too! The staff especially one by the name of Carly I believe...(I could be wrong please don't get mad if you are reading this ever)! Lol! She's awesome, great customer service and is always keeping me in the loop on our custom boots! If you want nice, great quality, and selections come here! Boy I didn't know the difference until my husband told me and I got a couple of pairs myself! No more cavenders! We also love the selection for clothes too! Barbour is my husband's favorite and we love to get them here! We just love this place and we for sure will be long time customers! Oh and another thing the repairs are great too! read more

I found the merchandise to be diverse, well selected and certainly well priced for the quality that you get. Certainly not for everyone, but then again we wouldn't want it if it was. Very disappointing. A disastrous welcome. Apparently the sellers were not in the mood to take care of customers. When we entered Lucchese last Friday, the shop was empty and the sellers were chatting behind the counter. Nevertheless, nobody welcomed us and the blonde lady who finally came was reluctant to help us and turned back to her counter. We had seen a brochure and planned to buy 2 pairs of boots and 2 belts with a budget of 2000 $ but left the shop with nothing. Lucchese Houston presumably doesn't need customers and there are other shops in Houston with a good Southern welcome. read more

Walked in a few weeks ago and jokingly asked why they didn't have University of Houston boots next to the A&M and UT ones. The sales associate then proceeded to tell me that people who go to the University of Houston don't make enough to have $3,000 to drop on boots. I only wish that I had gotten his name. Worst customer service in the world do not buy your boots from here.... Go to cavendars or Pinto Ranch. I wasted 4 trips to pick up defective boots I dropped off March 8th. Almost June and they still weren't returned. Every time I called they said the boots were on their way only to drive to the store and get the same story. Their customer service is sad and pathetic. If they didn't have the Lucchese name they would be closed up already due to the way they treat their customers. Save your time and aggravation do not shop here. read more

Go see Zuelen King at the Highland Village store in Houston. Zuelen went above and beyond to make sure I had a red carpet experience at Lucchese. I never owned a pair of boots and I have lived in Texas my whole life, so we had a rough start with sizing issues but Zuelen patiently made sure we got it right. Been meaning to write an update. I was contacted by the Customer Experience Manager who seemed very concerned about my experience. He was very nice and truly wanted to make things right. Unfortunately I wasn't going to be in Houston long enough to go back to give it another try. My suggestion to the store is to show interest in all clients and make contact as quickly as possible. That we we know we are not being ignored and our business matters. Give them a try if you go to Houston. Hopefully things will have improved. read more

Luccese boots are amazing I own several pair. Unfortunately, I was profiled and did not get any service...what a disappointment!

My husband and I just walked out of the store and not a single person even acknowledge our existence! Even if my husband was in a tshirt and shorts and I'm wearing ratty jeans and a Houston Cougars tshirt, you could at the very lest say hello. We walked the ENTIRE store and no one even could be bothered to make eye contact. Maybe it is a UH thing.. since I was wearing a $2500 pair of custom made M. L. Leddy UH boots while in the store! Between my husband and I we have 4 pairs of Leddy's and I'm looking for a new pair of boots. I know without a doubt who I will always buy my boots from and it won't be Lucchese. Stephanie provided me with an excellent place that specializes in handmade boots to have the work done. Lucchese has an excellent selection of boots and clothes without being overwhelming. Very poor service. I purchased a pair of boots and upon review of my receipt when I got them home I realized that I was charge $100 more than the price on the boot box. When I contacted the store, I spoke with the manager, David, who told me that the price on the box was not correct it was actually $100 more than marked and that I was charged correctly. WHAT? The price on the box is not actually the price? No one told me that they were actually $100 more than price on box. He was rude over the phone. After I continued to protest this ludicrous policy of charging $100 more than price tag and implying that I should have known the "real" price because that is the online price ( I was shopping in retail location, not online), David said I could return to the store with the box for a price adjustment. I went to the store for price adjustment, his math (and his customer service) were wrong and I am still due $2.60. I have worn Lucchese for 30 years. Love the boots but not sure I would go back based on this experience. read more

My husband and I visited while we were in town, and I didn't have my heart set on any specific style, but I wanted to look at a good variety. The inside of the store is beautiful, and they have a number of different women's styles on display. The staff was huddled at the register and it was hard to get their attention. The store was empty. I asked to try on 3 styles of boots on display and they had none in my size, or close to it. I picked another 4 styles and they had one in stock in my size (in a color I didn't like, however). I was disappointed that their stock was so low but the staff just said that due to the holidays they didn't have many sizes left in most shoes and just shrugged. I understand that the boots are made in limited quantities, but no one offered to help me order the ones I liked or anything. I ended up leaving and buying the ones I liked in the color I wanted online the next day (and got $50 off due to some website promotion!). I would only recommend going here to look at a good variety of different boots and to get an idea about sizing, but it may be hard to find your perfect shoes here. read more
