I would never stay anywhere else in Hollywood even if I didn't have kids. Wonderful hotel. It's…read moreactually converted apartments but still has that apartment feel, complete with a kitchenette. Simple but classy decor. Comfortable bed and pillows. Shower head's a little low but that's the worst thing I can say about it. Service is wonderful. In addition to the popsicle hotline, they have unlimited snacks, soft serve (chocolate coconut and vanilla on our stay - the coconut was a wonderful surprise), and Coke remix. Good continental breakfast included. They even offered us more snacks for the road when we came back to collect our bags. The pool is small, but gets the job done - and open 24/7 (while observing quiet hours). Hollywood Boulevard is in walking distance and it's a short ride/drive to Universal Studios and other local attractions.

So we did just that to celebrate my bf's birthday. Every staff member that I interacted with from the time of booking to the time of checkout went above and beyond with customer service. It's rare to feel such warm service these days and they provided just that. The hotel itself is rated a 3 star hotel so don't come expecting anything super fancy. It's an old hotel with very simple rooms. The bathrooms were a bit dirty, you have to slam your door to get it to latch, and you can hear your neighbors. But overall the room was comfortable and just what we needed for a place to lay our heads after a fun night at the Magic Castle. There are lots of fun complimentary amenities that make the hotel feel geared toward children, as well as a 24 hour heated pool. They offer self serve soft serve, one of the massive soda machines with tons of flavors, a popsicle hotline by the pool, snacks and full-size candy bars, and a morning espresso machine. There is a tightly-squeezed parking garage under the hotel and they'll drive you up the short hill to and from the Magic Castle if you need it. Overall the helpful staff and the simplicity of visiting the Magic Castle made this a good stay for us, even as LA locals.

Location is good - about 15 min drive to Griffith observatory, 10 min from the Grove. Safe area and…read morenot noisy. My king room felt quite spacious and included a very comfortable chaise. Also a working fridge and a microwave which didn't work. I didn't ask them to fix the microwave as it wasn't a big issue for me but did alert the front desk when I checked out so they could fix it for the next guests. However, the person didn't seem to care whatsoever that it didn't work and I don't have much faith that they plan to look into it. I was able to check in easily when I arrived late at 11:30p. The bed was not my favorite but was adequate. A bit firm but somehow also springy so not very supportive. 3 of the 4 pillows were uselessly lumpy but luckily I was by myself and the fourth was fine for me. Breakfast was fine but not amazing. Only disposable plates and plastic ware. The oatmeal was very watery and thus not filling. The coffee station is outside of the breakfast area since it's 24/7 but that meant anyone who wanted milk rather than creamer had to wander to find the milk in the breakfast area, not near the coffee. Also the coffee cups were quite small. To get a full drink of coffee, I needed to fill a cup and a half which was hard to balance going up the elevator since I needed to use a key card to make the elevator work. They do not clean rooms unless instructed which I appreciate. I asked only one day for my garbage to be taken out since I'd had food, and said I didn't want anything else done. I was impressed they listened and did take out the trash without making my bed or replacing linens, which is what I wanted. All in all it was a fine stay, and probably getting what paid for. But when I visit LA in the future, I'll probably stay elsewhere and hope for a better bed and tastier breakfast.

We booked the English suite and it was exactly as pictured on their website. The location is fantastic in between Sunset and Hollywood Blvd made it ideal for both attractions and restaurants. Walking distance to Walgreens and the walk of fame. The room was as like an apartment with separate living , dining and bedroom. All very comfy, huge bed , lovely sofa. Very generous with crockery, cutlery and glasses . Some very unique pieces to be used. They supplied plenty of ground coffee , tea , coffee whiteners and even some fruit. Free parking even though tight. Only issue was the wi fi was not that reliable. The hotel is in a lovely quiet street , felt safe. All in all loved our first taste of Hollywood at this hotel.

The Good: -Nearby some great restaurants, coffee shops,…read morebars, and venues. -Nearby the metro station -Comfortable bed, a small kitchen, and a lounge area. The Bad: -Was unable to reach anyone by the office phone during office hours or the emergency line both during and before office hours. -The toilet would bubble up water and send whatever you had in there to splash back at you. -The shower would also bubble up water and we could not use the shower without worrying if the shower would overflow. -The parking lot in the back is a one lane and can get easily blocked. -The water back pressure issues were not addressed during our stay (we left a message and no response) and after we called both lines and knocked on the office door at check out time the owner finally appeared and told us we didn't have to check out and that we could just leave (check out instructions were clear that was the case) but we wanted some help getting out since our exit was blocked. We explained that we were blocked in and I asked for an explanation for the phones and the lack of working bathroom and the owner explained that it rained last week and they thought it was fixed. That's it. Basically, this is a fine place to stay if everything goes right, but if something goes wrong, don't expect any help from the management of this place. Also don't come here after it rains.

We had everything toasty in no time at all. The parking was not a problem at all, and most mornings we walked to a nearby coffee shop. It was lovely to sit on the patio and feel the sun on our faces (we live in the PNW). The location is close to a lot - Griffith Park, museums, Hollyweird. You wont have to struggle for too long in traffic. I'd say location is probably ideal. I like having a sitting area, some kitchen space, and a patio. That makes this the choice for you if you also want more than a room with a bed. It is an old building, imperfect but charming, a touch drafty but able to warm up. As long as you realize up front that this isn't going to be a hotel experience I dont think you'll have any regrets. Home state for breakfast tacos, Intelligentsia for coffee. Enjoy!

There is no access to the beautiful restaurant that is featured in most of their photos on their website. There is an 80's looking apartment pool that even features a "no nudity at the pool" sign. The "hotel" is a few run down apartment studios with updated paint and furniture that they rent out and charge a parking fee. The entrance to the hotel should scare most people away. You get a code for their huge metal gate to access the property. Once through the gate you see what you are really in for. There is hardly 10 parking spots available for parking among the apartment tenants reserved parking spaces. Zero disabled parking! Once you find a spot you get the joy of climbing the stairs lugging your bags around trying to find your room. If the QR reader at your door works you can access your room. If it doesn't ... good luck. You have to text a number and wait for a response from an AI service. There are no other amenities at this place! This hotel is unique and should be thought of like an AirBnb. No front desk or in-person check in. Instead it's all digital on your phone. The text/call concierge was fantastic and very helpful. Our room was mostly clean, with some lingering dust and some tiles that could use a deep scrub. But, I wouldn't call it dirty. The views are what you come for and seeing the sparkling lights of LA at night made it worth it. For my first visit to the Hollywood Hills, the balcony and local area felt like being a movie star. I only stayed for one night, but I think this location would be best enjoyed for a multi-night stay. The rooms have kitchenettes and a good amount of space.
