Location, Location. Not all Luby's location service is the same. Worker's take pride as employees. Love the atmosphere here, and the food quality is fresh and good. I would come back on this side of town just for Luby's. Only location that still have a Fuddrucker's to my knowledge around. Must be doing well here.

Food was ok on thanksgiving. Tall man w/beard standing behind food was angry & talking about walking out on the job & how they want him to do some other stuff. He was the man who served my mashed potatoes. My silverware was wrapped up in a nasty, dirty napkin. Spoon/fork had dry food stuck to it. Napkin had food dried on it.Waitress walked away when called.A young man who worked there brought me another set. Whoever wraps up silverware knew this & still wrapped up the dirty silverware in a clean napkin, soiling it and placed it with the rest. All the black ppl working behind the food did not look very happy & the tall one was the only one speaking out. I'm not sure I will be back. This is the 1st time I been to this location. San Antonio had a better dining experience and friendlier faces. Today's was just bad and kind of sad.

I didn't even know there were any Luby's still around till recently. The one on my side of town closed awhile back. Growing up, Luby's was our go to lunch spot after church every Sunday. So for old times sake, some family and I decided to have lunch here on a weekday. To my surprise, this spot was busy like a Sunday afternoon. My first observation after all these years was that all the salads and desserts were individually packaged in containers now. It didn't have that homey vibe like it once had. The entrees and sides were the same as I remember it with a few new additions. My go to since I was a kid has never changed. I always go with the chicken fried steak, with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and jalapeño corn bread. Depending on how hungry I am, I'll get an additional side of fried okra. Taste wise, everything tasted just like I remembered. It's good ole comfort food. What we did notice was how room temp/lukewarm everything was. I'm not sure if they're steam tables aren't working or if this is what they do on purpose. The meal would've been much better with hotter food. Overall, this was a pleasant experience. It really did take us back to the good ole days and the food wasn't bad. Would I come out of my way from Pearland? Not likely. I'd stop by if I was in the area or invited back here.

I have not been to Luby's in a long, long time. Everything was very delicious. The salmon was tender. The cabbage was flavorful, and red potatoes were delicious the unsweetened tea cake like me and not water.

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The coffee was their own brand and the flavors were Pecan and Cinnamon, very smooth, and very hot and refilled often. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Oak Cafe in League City on Main Street and ask for Sal and get ready for a great expericence and excellent food and service! I live in Woodlands Tx and will drive 60 miles again to eat at this place!

Food: I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu Baked Pasta, and it was pure comfort. Creamy, cheesy, and generously portioned, with tender chicken and ribbons of ham woven throughout. My daughter chose the Strawberry Nutella® Crêpe, which felt like a little celebration on a plate. Light, delicate, and just sweet enough. My husband went with the French Dip au Caramelized Onions. The beef was tender, the onions perfectly sweet, and the jus rich enough to make every bite worth dipping. We couldn't resist taking home pastries, and they were just as lovely later that evening. Service: Friendly and efficient. Orders came out promptly, and the staff kept the line moving without making the experience feel rushed. Ambiance: Cozy and inviting, with the feel of a neighborhood café. The pastry case greets you as soon as you walk in, and the scent of coffee and baked goods makes it hard not to linger. First of all, what restaurant does not have sausage and bacon when they have the breakfast menu out? How does that happen exactly? Even if the Sysco truck did not bring it, the manager is not aware of H‑E‑B? I mean, go pick some up. At the very least, tell customers, up front, there is no bacon or sausage when they order. Not when they have gone through the line to pay. "Uh. Did anyone mention we do not have sausage?" Me: "No. I'll have bacon then." Him: "Um. We don't have bacon either. How about turkey bacon?" Nobody likes turkey bacon. They plated the scrambled eggs, French toast, and the offending turkey bacon all on one small plate. Normally pancakes or French toast comes on its own plate so it is not tainted with runny eggs or greasy bacon. The Croque Madame was dry, room temperature, and generally disappointing. It was like it was cooked 5 hours prior. The Cesar salad's lettuce tasted of chemicals. Though not crowded, service was horrible. There was not one employee who smiled nor said anything nice at all. To anyone. Ever. Then I saw the manager who looked so miserable and like he did not want to be there. None of those employees had actual printed name tags. All, including the manager, had to write their name on their tags. What place doesn't have printed name tags. It's like their employees are temporary and disposable. And guess what? The lack of service, lack of basic breakfast foods, and cold food reflects all of that. Frankly I did not see anyone one customer who appeared happy. Tables all around us spoke of their own disappointing experience. What has happened to La Madeleine? What I know is I cannot go back. There are too many good restaurants who actually want business. It's a miserable place filled with miserable employees making food that reflects all of that. It's been taken off our list of area restaurants to attend.

We always go through the drive thru and while the line can be a bit long at times, we've never really had to wait very long. It's not my number one choice in taco places, but they're good tacos at a good price. When I go on a Carnival cruise, I like to get fish tacos from The Blue Iguana... if I'm not on a ship, this is the closest thing I've found. They do lose a star though because I also have a toddler to feed and tell me why I can get two tacos for the prize of ONE kids quesadilla? So I end up going to two different places for food. There's not much else to say. I don't know if they offer indoor seating, but I know people seem to enjoy sitting in the outdoor patio area. The food came out surprisingly fast, and overall, the experience felt very relaxed and enjoyable. I ordered the braised beef tacos, also known as quesabirria. While they were decent, they were definitely not the best quesabirria tacos I've had. The consommé was very oily and lacked flavor, and the pickled onions were a bit off-putting. That being said, the tacos were generously filled with beef, which I appreciated. If I came back, though, I would probably try a different menu item. I also ordered a horchata and the regular size completely caught me off guard because it was huge. It tasted slightly more watered down than other horchatas I've had, but it was still refreshing and enjoyable. I would definitely order it again. Overall, while not every item completely wowed me, I still had a really pleasant experience here. The quick service, laid-back atmosphere, and generous portions made it worth the visit, and I'd be interested in coming back to try more of the menu in the future.

I've been wanting to try Main St. Bistro, so when my sister suggested it for Easter, I was down. We had a party of 7 (5 adults, 2 kids). We got there around 1:00 on Easter Sunday & didn't have to wait long even though it was busy. A man took our drink order. My brother-in-law asked to go ahead & order two appetizers. Our waitress, Natalie, came shortly after, introduced herself & confirmed the appetizers. We were brought 4 small cubes of banana bread, which felt weird since there were 7 of us. My toddler & my niece both had a whole one. The other two were split between 4 adults. My brother-in-law didn't have any. The appetizers came out fairly quickly & were gone just as fast. We finally ordered right at 2:00 after a little wait & indecisiveness. Then my son was done sitting in a highchair. My husband and brother-in-law took the kids outside. They played for a bit & walked two laps around the whole strip center. They came back, still no food. My son had a complete meltdown since he was both hungry & now tired, my brother-in-law asked if there was any way they could just rush my son's food. They did and he started eating, everyone was so hungry that they had some bites of his food as well. My mom went to ask the manager if our food was close to being ready. The answer was no, there was a whole list of orders ahead of ours. The manager was kind enough to bring us some spinach dip & apologized for the wait, explaining she was dreading today because the kitchen wasn't equipped for the Easter crowd. She assured us that they were working as fast as possible & we appreciated her honesty & effort. My mom went to her car & asked us to let her know when her food came. Our food finally started arriving at 3:17, and not all at once. My sister's meal came last. By this time my son was done & was getting restless while we had JUST started eating. The food itself was disappointing. My sister and I both ordered Benedicts. Mine (Boudin Benny) wasn't hot and was mushy instead of seared. Both of our poached eggs were undercooked. My sister's also had a large amount of cream cheese that wasn't listed and didn't taste good. Other issues: my mom's fries were cold, my brother-in-law said his chicken fried steak was no good. He ate it because he was hungry, and while my husband liked his sandwich & was happy with it, his fries were cold. My niece enjoyed her burger. My son's shrimp, fries, & macaroni were all hot and good... likely because they were rushed for him. It was 3:45 by the time we left. They close at 3. We received a 40% discount, but there was also a 20% automatic gratuity added, which some in our party didn't expect. Here's where they earn stars back... Natalie was great! She took great care of us & kept apologizing for the delay. We could tell that she felt bad, but it was not her fault. The manager also came by checking on us multiple times & got us settled as best she could. She brought us spinach dip while we waited & she made sure that my toddler got food very quickly after being asked about it. She did thank us multiple times for our kindness & patience. As did Natalie. I too, was appreciative of the kindness they showed us. Most of us have all worked in food service before & we understand that the wait staff can only do so much. We also understand being slammed in the kitchen & how fast paced they have to work in order to handle rushes. I appreciate the 40% discount... 20% after the tip. This review was based on one trip & I will update my review if/when I return. But this visit was definitely not a great experience & if it weren't for the kindness, I'd be leaving one star.

The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.
