After a weekend of hanging downtown decides to go to Fullbelly as we live the location in Sonterra…read more Upon arrival we noticed the sign was much different than the location in Sonterra Is also larger in the inside with a minimalist decor. We were promptly sat as it was not very busy. It took a little while for someone to come to our table and take our order. My wife ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate and I a regular coffee. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was a little flat and lacked the richness that a Mexican Hot Chocolate usually has. The coffee was a little weak for my taste but that is subjective. We started with the Buttermilk Biscuits and Sausage Gravy , the biscuits we moist and flaky but cold, the sausage gravy was more like gravy poured over sausage and biscuits ( we're not cooked together ). My wife ordered the Basic Breaky (eggs, bacon, potatoes milk bread toast). The eggs were cooked right and the bacon was good. Nothing special about it but is is the basic breaky. I order the shrimp and grits, seasoned shrimp with the tail in top of cheese grits, and a tomato based sauce. The shrimp were seasoned well and cooked pretty decent. The grits weren't as cheesy as expected but still good. The tomato based sauce threw off the balance of the meal and did not belong . Overall, I can say that this location does not provide the same experience service wise or food quality as the Sonterra location. I will stick to that location.

I'm used to the gravy being cooked with the sausage. This seemed more like a deconstructed version. While the gravy was hot the biscuits were cold. The gravy lacked seasoning. I'm salt sensitive, but had to add salt and pepper to the dish to add flavor. The breakfast plate was your usual breakfast dish. It was good. I've eaten at both locations and I think I prefer the food at the other location to this one.

You know some places that serve pancakes have the syrup spots left behind. This one didn't. The staff was very informative and helpful when deciding what to get. The food came out in a timely manner and it was hot. My pancake to me was too doughy. I like them a little less dough. The fries on the burger plate was amazing. They were crispy, hot and tasty. It was hard to eat just one. The Nutella-banana French toast is a must. The cream is a bit on the sweet side but be sure to add some strawberries. Overall this place is a must try as from what I'm told, this place is a scratch kitchen and worth the wait. Might be a bit on the pricey side. 5 people for total of $130.

I remember that the jello was with the desert, now it is with the salad and in a togo container. The pies and cakes are in a togo container. The mash potatoes with brown gravy is always good. The roll, I don't remember it being square, I remember it being round and a clover leaf shape where you can pull the roll apart. The roll is still good. Service was good, kept the ice tea full.

At some point we all tried to ask someone behind the food a question.. let's just say the customer service there can use some work.. it wasn't very pleasant. The buffet had plenty of options for salads, sauces, deserts and main dishes. May favorite was their salsa and the majority of their chicken /rice It was so good. Next time I'd prolly go just for that. I definitely think this place is worth a try.

You would expect more and better choices for the prices we paid. About $80 for two adults and a midget. They had your typical fare. The least favs-ribs(tough/dry and no flavor), steak(tough and under seasoned), steam buns(the filling just no), bourbon chicken(dry chicken and not enough sauce), and the consensus least fav were all the desserts. There was flying bugs, and everything was super dry and tasted old. I get it, what do expect for a Chinese buffet in San Antonio? Well I expect no flying insects in the desserts for the price I paid. Also, 75 % of the fruit we got was as tough as the steak. Oh, and the cold shrimp, either overcooked or thawed the wrong way. The shell was practically glued on. The positives-all the rice and noodle dishes were good to ok. The hot and sour soup was really good! The teriyaki chicken was actually good. The bigger sauced rib was good. The kimchi was some of the better we've had recently. The spring rolls with peanut were good. The two fish dishes we had(fried and not fried) were actually quite nice. All the breads were good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Almost forgot, the bathrooms were kinda gross. They need to be kept clean. Will not come back again.

The buffet options are good, but their general tso's chicken is not the best (and I judge how good overall Chinese buffets on this lol). A surprise hit is the sautéed green beans, which are perfectly cooked and garlicky--just like how you'd find it traditionally cooked in Chinese cuisine. I also think they're deep fried (salt and pepper?) shrimp (next to the crawfish) is very delicious. Plates are cleared pretty quickly and the buffet space is kept orderly and decently clean.
