LTBMW is the place to bring your car if you want any modifications done whether it's asthetics or performance. I've got my wheels, tires, coilover installation, lip, csl trunk, etc all from LTBMW. They also do your regular maintenence such as oil changes, brakes, flushes, etc. There is no where I can trust the 2 cars i have than ltbmw especially after the warranties are over, it's hard to find a good reputable shop that can work on your car, not cheat on you, overquote you , or tell you that you need all these things done on your car when you really dont hence i drive from OC to El Monte! The guys here are honest, efficient, and knows what they are doing and their pricing is great! My sister and I needed some repair work done on our car bumpers. I did a basic search on google and came across LTBMW in El Monte. I read a couple of reviews and they were positive. My sister owns a honda pilot and I own a honda civic. We headed there with our cars and almost drove past the location. We made a right onto Rancho st. and parked in the back (I thought this was the front). I knew this was the place because there was nothing but BMW on the lot. A nice guy approached us and asked what we needed? We showed him our cars and he gaves us an estimate on the spot and told us roughly how long it would take to get the work done. As any good consumer would do, we decided to check out another place that also had positive reviews to compare prices. The other location was very similar in price but would take a bit longer. To make a long story short. We went back to LTBMW and Long who gave us the estimate - turns out to be the Co-owner of the shop. He shared with us the story of how LTBMW got started which was very cool. My sisters car took 4 work days and my car took about a week to get done. Her car was washed and it looked very nice. I was satisfied with how my car turned out and would recommend this place to anyone needing some auto body work done. "Do not be intimidated by all the custom BMW's!" Do yourself a favor. I agreee with JZ.. For my damaged front bumper, I did estimate at 4 different ones, which are all highly rated on Yelp. L.T BMW is the one that could replaced my bumper in one hour and charge me much lower price than all other shops. ( while other shops take 2 to 3 business days and cost at least $500 and could not even replace the bumper but a repaint) He would give you a temporary part to put on your car if you don't want to leave your car in the shop. He will just take off the broken part and fix it. Work days Monday to Saturday. Sunday works too if you call and make an appointment with him. he will be there from morning til the last customer leaves. If you come with your car at 8pm, he will take it. read more

I have been going to Long since he was doing work literally out of the garage at his house, circa (2007)....before LTMW was LTMW. This cat has hooked up my old 335i and my current e92 M3 with all sorts of things....powder coated wheels, hoods, diffusers, spoilers, LED interior lighting, you name it. MODS and work done: - upgrade angel eyes to brightest LED - fix burnt fog light - replace Ballast and switch to 6000K xenon lights - Lower coil over suspension (rear) - align and adjust camber (front and rear) - swap rear tire location (off wheel) on rear to even wear - change oil - switch to M3 control arms and bushings LTBMW specializes in BMWs, especially 3-series, and I can always rely on them to help me in a clinch. Too busy to work on my car, I had the above done and am very happy with the results. The car handles so much better in corners, and I already had KW coil overs, front and rear H&R sway bars, plus wider aftermarket wheels. LTMW has been a really good experience for me so far. I really like the look of the place and the team there are all really nice and helpful. They are really friendly people that want to help you with any questions about the problems, like what I had. I have a 01 bmw e39 m5 and even though they mainly specialize in the e90s series, they are still able to find the problem and pinpoint what the problem might be. I live in irvine, ca and even though the trip was about 40 min to get there, I was recommended to go there and in the end the trip was well worth it! Overall, anyone who wants anything done to their BMW, I would definitely recommend this place! Long and Ivan are really helpful people and definitely know ALOT about BMWs. Since then his shop and staff at LTMW have been taking care of my car whenever I have a project that I would not tackle on my own. I dropped off my car a few weeks ago due to a parking lot incident it appears a shopping cart was pushed it into my rear bumper. My son got into a accident with his BMW 335i Coupe. He wanted to get it fixed at this body shop. We drove up from San Diego and had it dropped off. I haven't been to a unprofessional shop like this in years. After we went through the insurance claim they started work on the car. They would make fake promises as to when the car would be fixed by and we never would get a straight answer. After a whole month of them having the car we picked it up. Later we found out that they used aftermarket bumpers for the front and rear when we paid the amount for OEM parts. read more

I absolutely LOVE LTMW!!! I've had my issues with auto shops before. As a girl, most workers will take one look at you and think they can charge you $1600 for a simple brake change. At LTMW, they take the time to thoroughly explain what the issues are, why it is happening, and how much it will cost to fix it. For the past two years I have been going to LTMW, and Long and his team have been nothing but kind to me. They are quick to respond, quick to fix, and their quality of work is top of the line. I am always 150% satisfied! Ive had a dent fixed, some paint touch ups, and lip installed. Address is: 11657 McBean Drive El Monte, CA 91732 update: some hit and miss.. but overall they are sketchy as fuck. thought i was paid for new sets of wheels, but when i had to get 2 repaired (ran over some big rocks and bent the lips) by an independent repair guy he told me they were refurbished and showed me the barrel where it was evident that it's clearly not new. Even, Son Tran, another wheel repair specialist confirmed that the wheels were not original color when i brought it for a touch up. Devastated since i paid +$6k for my bbs lm, so im not even surprised about the other 1stars reviews. ALSO when i went to another bodyshop in CA to get airbags install, they were kind enough to reinforced my front bumper that i purchased from LTMW since they did a halfass job putting it on. Stay away unless you're quite knowledgeable about cars, so it'll be harder for them to cheat you. i have had other work done, but its been so long ago that this is what i'll forever remember them for including the longest turn around time. read more

LTMW has a pretty cool shop space despite needing a good spring cleaning. While LTMW appears to be in the business of extensive modifications, I was pleasantly surprised that they also perform routine maintenance, such as replacing the battery in my 5 series. By making the drive out here, I saved about 40% vs. going to the dealership and shops in LA (thank goodness that they're open on Saturdays). One critique is that my steering wheel was left a little dirty- I assume that the tech didn't wash his hands before getting back into the car. Otherwise, the customer service was great, my car hasn't blown up (yet), and the service was performed in a very timely manner. I'll definitely be back in the future. read more

I drive a BMW 328i and since my "free" maintenance expired from the dealer, I had to find another place to take my car to get fixed and serviced. After looking around on yelp, I decided to take my car here. Given all the great reviews and that fact that they specialize in BMW, I figured the odds were in my favor that I had found a new place to take my car. First time I took my car here, both Long and Ivan spent some time talking to me and after talking about BMW's and the NFL, I decided that I could trust these guys with my car. They are not that far from where I live and it is convenient for me that they are open on Saturdays. I have since taken my car here multiple times and every time I have been very happy with their work. They are helpful, honest and don't rip you off like the dealer. My 335d's front bumper had been backed up into and I needed it fixed. I have been hearing all this hype about this place and decided to give it a try. I originally receive a quote for my bumper and agree to it. The next day I get a call saying that my bumper has too many chips from the road and needs to get "refinished" for another $100. I was pretty upset since we already agreed to a price and now that refinishing would be required. I agree since its already there, but slightly annoyed, I knew it better look damn good. They call me and say its ready for pick up. When I see the car, the paint seriously looked mediocre and there were still little bumps from the road chips. They could not even put on the under-tray properly and I had to I point them out and was like, "nope. not going to take this home." Could tell it had been totally rushed. The bumper is redone again and now it looks way better. A few months pass and the paint starts to chip and flake off near the curves of the headlights. I also noticed that the sharp corners in my bumper had clear-coat not applied evenly. I show them to Long and he agrees that my bumper needs to be redone again. When I come to pick up the car for the 3rd time the paint quality looks really really good this time. Long hooked it up with a new bumper because he said that mine cannot be refinished and painted again. Very satisfied with that experience although I just wish they got it right the first time. I have brought my sisters e92 335i here for an oil change and supplied my own oil and it cost $30 (what is advertised on the site) and $10 for a filter. I needed an oil change on my e90 335d and was supplying my own oil too. I called and spoke to Ivan and he told me it was going to be $40 over the phone. When I arrive and want to drop off my car he now tells me that is $80 because its a diesel. I said, "you told me it was $40 over the phone why is it $80 now?" I received the worst excuse, "because its different." I asked what is so different about it and he just responds, "it just is." At that point I did not feel welcome at this shop and just turned around and walked out. I changed the oil in my garage and it was no different than any other oil change. If you decide to go to LTMW I recommend dealing with Long and only Long as he is the only one there with legitimate customer service. read more

Came here about a year ago to get a battery replaced after about 70k miles on my e92. Had some other things done at LTMW before and they were highly recommended on the forum boards so I figured why not? Get my battery taken care of and notice that my clock and cpu needs to be inputted back in. No prob since they just replaced out my battery and its pretty typical for this to happen. But this happened continually over what would be over a year. I havent had time, mpg consumption, (basically anythign that needed to be saved), since the beginning of 2013. I naturally take it back to the shop the next week to get it fixed. No problem they say, they accidentally ran the wrong battery registration program since the battery part number changed. Phew I thought, only an hour wait and an hour roundtrip drive for a silly mistake but I am already here so I can let it slide. Leave again, same thing happens. Trip #3 comes in, now im told it can be a whole array of things. Quoted a good chunk of money to get a diagnosis and for any possible repairs.. figured it wasnt worth it since its not 100% and it was just my clock that was affected. I just wrote the issue off and figured it was one of BMW's notorious electrical gremlins at work. The whole issue kind of left a sour taste in my mouth so the next time I needed work done, (which was a crank sensor) I decided to go to another BMW shop that was local. This shop not only fixed what I came in for, but went above and beyond and diagnosed any other additional problems that I did not ask for, which was the battery issue that plagued me from the year before. They did some digging around in the trunk(where the battery is) and found out that a simple wire was not plugged. They plugged it in and voila, I now have time and CPU settings saved. This new shop also let me know that this wire is common procedure to having your battery replaced and 100% should have been connected. This raised questions to me whether this was intentionally left out (to leech more money from my wallet) or if they are just inexperienced/negligent. I even went back 3 times to have this looked at and it still continued to be overlooked. Either situation was bad enough to warrant me to leave this review, even a year after the fact. In all, they have or had an awesome reputation on the forum boards, but dont let this halo affect influence your decision in choosing which shop to go to. This shop DOES make mistakes as with any other shops (simple mistakes it seems), so please go to multiple shops to get a correct diagnosis and repair. read more

Absolute worst service I've ever dealt with from an auto body shop. If you're not local, STAY AWAY. I purchased an M-Tech Rear Bumper from them in July, 2015. Issue #1, the bumper was backordered for 1 month and I received no email notifying me of the back order. I sent multiple emails asking where the bumper was and no reply. Finally they answered the phone and told me it had been backordered. I eventually received a bumper. Issue #2. They sent me the WRONG bumper. I clearly ordered a bumper with holes for PDC sensors. They sent me a bumper with no holes. Issue #3. I tried to return the bumper, but they replied "I can supply the PDC holders and the drill so the shop can do it" (exact quote from email). I sent them pictures of my bumper showing it was the wrong bumper and after requesting constantly for them to pay for return shipping, I never heard from them for the next 2 months. After 2 months, they finally responded, telling me that it is not their fault that a shop won't drill holes into the bumper and they won't pay for return shipping. I requested a refund including return shipping and LTMW refused. If anyone has shipped a rear bumper before, it costs more than $250 if you are an individual (non-business). I rate them 1 star for lack of communication regarding an order, sending me the wrong product, refusing to accommodate shipping for the wrong product, and lack of communication during the dispute. read more

I drive a Mini Cooper 2D and live in West Hollywood. I found LTMW off of Yelp and this body shop is worth the long drive! My Mini got backed into causing a dent in the hood. My car is my baby so I was distraught. I took it to several body shops and LTMW was the one that made my boyfriend and I feel most comfortable that my car would be well taken care of. We spoke to Ivan (co-owner) and he completely understood how I felt and reassured us that my car would be fixed with the highest standards. They dealt with my insurance adjuster for me and worked with them to get everything settled. We hit a snag along the way and my car took a few more days than expected. To be honest, we were irritated and upset (sorry to Philip for taking it out on him!) but Ivan worked with me and patiently explained exactly what had happened and what they were doing to fix the situation. Turns out it was BMW's fault that an incorrect part had been shipped causing the delay. When I returned to the shop to pick up my car, I was more than pleased with the results. My new hood needed to be painted to match my car and they painted my bumper as well (free of charge) so the front of my car would look brand new. They replaced everything perfectly and went a few steps above to ensure I had the best experience with them. There is a reason why this body shop gets 5-star ratings all around. Not sure I really need to write another review to justify all the good reviews online (yelp and e90post.com) but I had a very satisfying experience with LTMW. Why I chose LTMW? I chose them because of their reputation in Southern California for working on the e90 chassis and really BMWs in general. More specifically, I chose them because they seemed like the only shop to have the expertise to do the custom body work I wanted to do on my e92. I called up, told them what I wanted, got a quote, brought my car in, and 2 weeks later, I was a giddy little boy standing in front of a great job, done the right way...no shortcuts. The price was very competitive and the process was smooth. The entire LTMW team was very helpful & knowledgable but Melissa (at the front desk) and Long (the L from of LTMW) were really the ones that managed my project and I can speak highly of their service. A couple of days after taking my car back, the door was rubbing against the fender (I don't think they did it wrong the first time because it was fine the day I took the car back). So I brought the car back, told Long what was happening and he walked away for a couple of minutes. Came back 3 minutes later and told me "you're all set". Yup, like a boss. I probably wouldnt bring my car here to get little things like oil changes done only bc I live pretty far away from el monte but for custom work that requires skill, expertise, and certainty on results, theres really no question where to bring my car. Tip for anyone having them work on a project: do your own research, figure out what you want, ask them for a quote, write it all down in a list and hand it to them when you drop your car off. This is what I did and I've been told it was very helpful for them to get the car out quickly. if you time it right during drop off / pick up, they might even offer you whatever is for lunch! read more

it sucks that i live so far away from the shop. but probably best in the end otherwise i would probably go crazy with mods. but at the same time, if id lived closed i would probably buy my cars instead of leasing. they do a great job and their attention to detail is impressive. very thankful for Renee's help on modding up my f30. their pricing is very competitive. only knock was that if you catch long during the craze of bimmerfest, it might be slightly difficult to get a hold of him. longs got a nice setup and the lobby is comfortable. flat screen tv to watch the game and WIFI also. they seriously need to open a shop in the OC. read more

Called and spoke with Ivan last Friday Friday to get my car's interior trim CF wrapped. He accomodated me this past Sat at 2pm and told me he could have it done in a few hours (can't leave trim overnight coz I live 40 miles away). Got there at 2pm but they were swamped and only started my car after 3pm, so they really had to work on it pretty fast. The guy that worked on it did a very good job, although... there is a bubble on the wrap by the main vent and it's clearly visible during the day. (Actually looks like the CF was crumpled and wasn't properly glued or stretched) ... Too bad I didn't see it before I left since it was dark already. Note that it would be better if you had it taken off and picked it up another day so they can really take time on your car. Anyways, interior now much more pleasing to the eye. I would recommend for CF wrap. read more
