We visited Hopkins a little ahead of a dinner reservation and walked around a bit before we stumbled across LTD brewing. It's just around the corner from the main street and has a nice set up with plenty of space for patrons. We were there on a Saturday evening and there was steady traffic, but it wasn't overly full. There's a few outside spots and plenty of inside seating. The variety of selections was good. There were some normal rotations and a few seasonal as well. I grabbed a beer and partner opted for the grape ape. Both were good and would've definitely led to trying a few more if it wasn't for a dinner reservation. The only thing that was a little odd is that, as we were going in, it appeared that someone had definitely over-enjoyed their time at the brewery as they were carrying a bike and stumbling down the sidewalk, bumping into cars and nearly falling over multiple times. It is a drinking establishment though and I guess that means the other options must be good too! The spot has a fun vibe, lots of options for drinking and free popcorn! This would be a great place to spend an evening with friends and I think we will definitely schedule some extra time to visit when we are in Hopkins.

Cute little brewery. I don't get over to Hopkins often but LTD is well worth the stop. The tap room is comfortable and the staff friendly. The beer is good. Parking can be a bit of a hunt but I never end up having to park too far away. Thanks LTD for consistently brewing delicious beers that are poured by friendly beertenders.

Really like this brewery. Had a large selection and they give you the option to get a flight for $14! You can try five types of beer. I think that's a fantastic deal. Really pretty prop and when I came in they had popcorn! Really cute hidden gem. Will be back!

I was in the Twin Cities area for work recently and we did a team outing at both LTD Brewing and nearby Bear Cave Brewing. LTD immediately had a familiar, chill vibe to it. Unlike the brand-new and pretty fancy Bear Cave, LTD is a more traditional locale to grab a beer. They were playing Bingo at the time, for prizes - something I hadn't really seen at a bar before but people were having a good time with it. Had some good beers and took a few crowlers home to share with my wife. It was a cool place to hang out - if there was a place like this near my house, I'd be a regular!

While in Hopkins I made a pit stop at @ltdbrewing for some beer and popcorn. I tried five of their beers that they had on tap. They had a range of beers from the big and malty to the light and refreshing (and the popcorn machine with fresh popcorn was a nice snack). Belgian Tripel Ale: Heavy hitting Belgian Tripel at 9.9%. Medium body with clove aromatics. Toasted bread malt flavor with a spicy clove flavor - ends with a sweet finish with some fruit rising to balance the clove. The Ant-Man Cometh: A New England Hazy IPA with Mosaic, Galaxy, Amarillo Cryo, and Citra hops. Well-balanced bitterness with grapefruit sweetness. Fruity / grapefruit zest aroma with a haze for days. Blueberry Muffin Top Blonde Ale: A liquid blueberry muffin. Smells like a fresh blueberry muffin straight out of the oven on a Sunday morning and tastes like grandma always made it. Refreshing on a warm day with a light body of a blonde ale. The Great Bluedini Imperial Sour: Mild blueberry on the nose with a tart blueberry flavor. A malty sweetness rises to balance the tart blueberry. Very different from Blueberry Muffin Top, but just as enjoyable. Summer Hefe: Hazy as a true Hefeweizen should be. LTD used American white wheat and pilsner malt to create a smooth and drinkable Hefe with banana / clove character that doesn't taste artificial like some Hefeweizens can turn into.

LTD Brewing has been on my list for a while after seeing their cute flight paddles on Instagram - and it will continue to be a go-to spot! We walked over to LTD after being at a different spot in Hopkins, and we're happy to see it buzzing on a Friday night! We walked inside to be seated and we're greeted by a host/waitress. They said we could find a seat inside or outside and we would have table service! The inside was warm and woody, yet a little eclectic with their decor and signs - I loved it. The bar is at the center with two sides to order from, while the table service orders are picked up on the corner under the LTD sign - it's also nice and spacious inside! Since it was a nice summer night, we grabbed a space for four outside on their patio - where LTD has taken over the sidewalks near them and put up a white tent with tables and chairs. It's the perfect little quaint Mainstreet vibe. The service was excellent at LTD. After finding our seats, only a minute later a waitress came by with a QR code and said we would be helped in a minute or two. We had just enough time to look at the menu and decide when another waitress came by and took our orders. Throughout the night different servers would check on us, which was great! And it didn't feel like overkill either. The drinks were super timely as well, coming out to us less than 5 minutes after we ordered every time - even though the patio was full of people! When we wanted to go inside and enjoy the live music, we didn't even need to close out - they just made note of it and said that the tips are pooled so we didn't need to worry about tipping each server that helped us. On top of it all, while being busy, every single server we encountered was kind, attentive and helpful. Now for the drinks! I ordered one of the flights I have been ogling over on Instagram, and it did not disappoint. I don't think I've ver had a flight where I liked every. single. one. until now. The OPPC was an orange infused version of their light Patio Crusher beer. It was perfectly citrusy without being like a sour. The Muffin Top was a crowd favorite by my group - it really smelled like a blueberry muffin and you could definitely taste it in the light beer. One of my favorite specialty beers I've had anywhere! The Apricot Hefeweizen was also a deliciously fruited light beer without the sweetness of a sour - similar to the OPPC. Their Raspberry Seltzer was delicious! Nothing unique, but a delicious sweeter seltzer. Finally, my favorite of the rotation was the Mangonator - it seriously tasted like drinking alcoholic mango juice. It was sweet and smooth, and I wasn't even sick of it when I got a pint after my flight. When we went inside, I tried their signature Friday Night Drink - Firken Friday, which rotates every week! This week was a pineapple mango seltzer, and it was delicious, sweet and refreshing. Overall, I absolutely loved my night at LTD and loved every drink I tried! I can't wait to come back and continue to try their beers as they rotate.

What a fun little hangout! LTD is in downtown Hopkins, surrounded by several tasty restaurants. There is some street parking and then Hopkins public parking. As opposed to going up to the bar to order, they have servers. They also have free popcorn, a great selection of board games, and several projector screens. When it comes to selection, it is about average or slightly under average. They had one seltzer, some bottles of kombucha, and home brewed root beer as well. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, and it was a bit loud, as it is at most breweries. I had a good time, I'd come back if I was in the area. Thanks!

They have an interesting variety of beers to try! (Plus non-alcoholic drinks). We each got a flight and while we didn't love every brew, there were none we disliked. The inside is neat, has an almost western theme. They also have an outdoor patio under a tent. It was a fun date!

I didn't see any N/A options besides water which is a bummer but I could have missed that. I believe they also had cider and some wine as well. To start you go up and receive a card that is attached to your tab. You then scan that card before pouring yourself a glass or tasting from the beer well and it automatically adds the pricing for the ounces you poured to your tab. The brewery itself is really spacious! Multiple levels, each with a different vibe which I love. When we were there there was live music on the top level and the lowest level was giving chill speakeasy vibes. They also have food options which is nice. We ordered the cookies with milk and they were warm and gooey but took quite a bit of time to come out. Definitely a place worth checking out!

I really enjoyed the tap wall gimmick, bc I could craft my own flight, get a little bit more of something, etc etc. I didn't love that of course I got a lot more foam that way, but their charging system seemed to account for that. I really liked the variety of glassware available at both tapwalls to facilitate tasters, tulip-poured beers, etc. There was even ice available to pair with the tap cocktails. I did not get pizza, but I sure wanted to based on the smells. This would be a great place to hold an event, and honestly pretty reasonably priced (especially during a well timed happy hour). OK, so why four stars? Bc they do one thing that I can't agree with -- adding mandatory service charges. So you walk in, get a card, and serve yourself the whole time. But, unless you check out in person and change it, you'll be charged a 20% tip. No. I agree with living wages, but in a restaurant where I as customer literally do everything, just pay your back of house staff, price it into the per ounce, and don't sneak nonsense into my tab. I profoundly object to a service charge when there is no service involved, and doubly to requiring it unless I want to wait in line for 10 minutes.

But there is something here for the hungry stomach! The beer was delicious. They had a good selection consisting of IPA's, sours, seltzers, some lights, ears, etc.! I had one of their IPAs and was thoroughly impressed as well as their Düsseldorf which was awesome. They had some NA beers and plenty of sodas for those that don't drink or the kids who are with. In fact a neighbor across from the patio was literally painting his white picket fence! So, it's a unique setup for a mpls brewery taproom from the start. I walked in and was assaulted by a sickeningly sweet smell. Not sure if that's them brewing up their beet beer (beet beer--WHY?!) We both ordered the Saison. It had decent belgian notes but it was half-flat and a little sweet for my taste. It's nice they have a patio but it's beset by constant traffic from 44th St on one side and a parking lot with porta pottys on the other. Not exactly getting any fresh air. Moreover, the seating at picnic tables and high tops with cheap un-cushioned bar stools felt pretty half assed but that went along with the overall theme. They allow outside food and had a food truck operating when we went there which was a plus. Ultimately neither one of us were thrilled with our first tap so we bailed. Can't speak on the entire tap line but unlikely we will come back unless our friends ask us to. So almost nearly there in every respect but not quite. 3.75/5 rounding up to 4.
