Melvin responded to our quote request almost immediately and installed a stair runner and stair rods just two days later. Crew was professional and did excellent work. Highly recommend and very pleased to find such a great business in the area.

I used this company because I was able to get a same day free estimate. He was prompt and was willing to fit me in knowing I had a deadline. Photos of before after after attached. This was much better than replacing the carpets. I did get quotes from 5 companies! He got me in on a Sunday knowing I needed it ASAP! Mention Burke Moms or me for the best deal he said:)

I highly recommend Melvin! He's knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with. He responded quickly to my request and scheduled a consultation a few days later. The quote he provided was reasonable for the cost of the carpet and labor. His team did a fantastic job installing runners on three sets of stairs in my townhouse. They consulted me multiple times to ensure everything was installed just the way I wanted. I would absolutely hire Melvin and his team again.

My pup trapped himself in a bedroom while I was at work and destroyed the new carpet in his attempt to escape. The first place I called quoted me $270, even though I would be supplying the extra carpet for the patch. I called Loza's and they offered to do it for $100 the very next day. Loza's Carpet was quick, professional, and did an amazing job. I can't even tell that there is a patch there now.

Melvin did two stair runners for us using gorgeous remnants, nicer than anything I saw with competitors. Everything was quick and easy and he saved us a ton of money by suggesting remnants. So grateful we didn't pay 3x as much for less beautiful runners. Thank you!!!

So glad I trusted my fellow Yelpers on hiring this company. Melvin is one of a kind! Punctual, professional, knowledgeable, kind, and a solid service provider all around. He came to my home bearing samples, didn't rush me, dealt well with my numerous questions and texts, & did exactly what he said & what I'd hoped. He and his so crew were so clean & worked well without disrupting a thing in my home. The process of ordering, scheduling, & working with this company was incredibly easy & stress-free!!! No more near-accidents on my slippery wood stairs. A beautiful, luxurious runner from Melvin Loza & his company is exactly what was needed in my life.

They just installed two stair runners in my house. Both are beautiful and super durable. Very happy with the work and Loza's courteous staff!

Loza's Carpet provided an excellent flooring experience! Melvin( the owner) was very professional from the beginning when we just wanted a quote! He provided his expert opinion and helped us make an educated decision. The price quoted was very fair and included labor and product! Upon arrival, Melvin's team went straight to work and ensured we were prepped properly for the install! The job was done promptly and professionally! The work is so beautiful! We'll be using Loza's again very soon for our other projects! Great job!

This convinced me their estimates were intentionally overpriced and that Melvin wasn't trying to gauge me.

I first…read morecontacted APS about changing the flooring in our new home and within hours, they had an estimator at our home who provided a competitive quote. The workmanship was top notch. I inspected the final product today and did not have a single change or complaint. In fact, I hired them to paint our whole home. You can trust their workmanship. The team members were professional, responsive to our concerns and delirvered to our expectations. No delays, no additional cost or changes, no surprises.

They were late 2 out of 3 days without notifying me, and the job felt rushed. Yusef promised me a $500 discount. Later, he denied ever making the offer, and the manager attempted to reduce it to $100. The manager also implied that only his word matters, using an example meant to justify why the original agreement shouldn't count. Customers shouldn't have to figure out which employees have "authority" -- if an employee makes a promise on behalf of the company, the company should honor it. Something I learned after the fact -- and wish I'd known before signing -- is that in many flooring companies, salespeople work on commission, sometimes 5-15% of the total sale. Managers may also receive a commission override. Installation crews are typically paid a set rate or per-square-foot amount, which means the company's actual cost is often much lower than the customer price. In these setups, discounts sometimes come out of the salesperson's commission, which could explain why I received pushback on the agreed $500. I'm not claiming to know this company's exact pay structure, but it's worth consumers being aware of how this industry often works so they can make fully informed decisions. I ultimately received the correct discount, but only after unnecessary back-and-forth, unprofessional behavior, and an attempt to undermine my honesty. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values clear communication and integrity.

My next door neighbor had Carpetland install hardwood floors throughout their house. Based upon…read moretheir recommendation, I hired Carpetland to replace the carpet in my upstairs hallway and the stairs to the first floor and basement after my wife slipped and fell down the stairs on some old carpet. We replaced the carpet with the same hardwood that we have on the first floor. The job went fairly well. There was a language barrier, as the crew that was sent either did not speak English, or did not speak it well. There were a few hiccups, but they were resolved without too many issues. Fast forward about 7 months. I decided to surprise my wife while she was out of town and had the first floor refinished. I specifically asked if the job could be done within my timeframe while my wife was out of town. While I was told that there would be no problem, I was not told that the tradeoff would be only one coat of polyurethane instead of two. That second coat makes a huge difference! Again, a crew shows up and language is an issue. I tried communicating as best I could, but they did not seem to understand. Dust control was a major issue. I am still finding areas of my house other than where the work was done covered with dust. The floor was gouged just inside the front door. Whoever was using the sander must have been doing on the job training. You can see where he changed directions with the sander and I still see swirl marks on the floor. The foyer was not sanded evenly, but the crew leader swears he could not see it. After registering my complaints, John-the sales rep-was very apologetic and offered to send the crew leader out to make things right. Roberto came back two days later and tried to gaslight my wife and I. He insisted that there were two coats of polyurethane on the floor...even though he wasn't not even present when it was applied. He did (mostly) fix where the floor was gouged. The non-English speaking crew returned the next day to apply a second coat of polyurethane. It is interesting that she spoke English well enough to ask for payment before she left. Once the floor dried, I noticed spots that were missed. I reached out to John again and he assured me that he would have Roberto come to address any concerns and he would return with him. It was at that point that I made the mistake of paying the invoice. I have not heard from John since. My next project involves replacing all of the carpet on the second floor with hardwood floors. Guess who will not be getting the job?

I asked what cabinet distributors they used and she couldn't give me a name, she said they use many. I then asked what the difference would be between getting a particular cabinet color (not knowing what my options were or what would be in stock without a company name), and she said custom vs semi custom are just words and that it's all pretty much custom so it wouldn't make a difference. Upon asking a few more questions, she proceeded to tell me "I'm not sure if you saw, but our company has almost a 5-star review and that's almost unheard of". I didn't know what to make of it, but considering what some of their reviews mentioned, I felt as though we were going to get the same treatment. She said she'd get back to me by Friday with a quote and a visual of the kitchen updates-- it was Tuesday that day. We gave her a call that Friday afternoon to follow up and she insisted that the cabinet company was taking a while and that she'd get back to us by Monday the latest if not over the weekend. We waited and got nothing so my husband called her the following Wednesday without ever hearing from her. She continued to reassure us that she hasn't forgotten about us and that she'd get back to us by Monday for sure. It's now been 21 days and we got no updates or any communication from them. It's clear that this is a pattern for them and I'd advise someone looking to get work done by someone reliable and honest to look elsewhere.
