His creativity and professionalism made the planning process easy and exciting. The team, led by Youssef, demoed the deck and built a stunning paver patio with lights, pergola, and walkway. We scheduled our appointment via their website and had a quick home consultation where we told him what we would ideally like done. I did a bit of quick math on the mulch and sent me a text shortly after with the rate for the labor and the materials. I found it to be incredibly reasonable so we decided to move forward with the job. They are booked pretty heavily so it took a couple of weeks for our appointment but they showed up and worked efficiently to finish the job neatly and thoroughly. Our garden looks amazing and they did a great job pulling all those pesky weeds in our rock beds that had been causing me grief (and back pain!) over the spring and summer. I'm so happy with how it all looks. I can't stop marveling at our very cute yard now! And my plants seem way happier now that we've got the mulch around them as well. Will definitely keep them in mind for any future jobs we may need.

Other contractors didn't want to use T1-11 and many highly suggested vinyl siding or Hardie board. They didn't recognize that customer satisfaction is essential. And I knew what I wanted! Sean, owner of Michigan Rose, came out in a timely manner and communicated with me from start to finish. John and Nathan worked very well together and the job was completed quickly. They did a beautiful job. They cleaned the area around the house making sure there weren't any nails that my dogs might step on.Super guys with a good work ethic and personable. We let them know that we needed the driveway done and cured before that date so we could use a wheelchair on it . They were here the next day to take out the old concrete and prepare it for the new. These guys really knew their stuff and they worked long and hard and did an absolutely stellar job. Communication with Michigan Rose Construction was great. They were always available to answer questions and we enjoyed interacting with the men who were doing the work. We would hire them again for any construction project without hesitation.

I hired Good Guys Lawn Care for core aeration and overseeding and provided payment information in…read moreadvance. Weeks later, I contacted the company asking when the service would be performed because I had received no completion notice, no door hanger, and saw no evidence that the work had been done. I was then told the service had actually been completed a month earlier and my card was charged. When I raised concerns, the company relied on GPS records showing a truck at my property but could not provide photos from my property, despite telling me that photos are normally taken. What disappointed me most was the way the issue was handled. At no point did anyone offer to come to the property, walk the lawn with me, inspect the results, or independently verify my concerns. Instead, I was left with a charged credit card and no confidence that I received the service I paid for. Most importantly, there was never any visible evidence that the aeration and overseeding had occurred, and there still isn't. More than a month later, the lawn shows no meaningful signs of new grass growth, improvement, or change. Whether the work was not performed or was performed so poorly that it produced no observable result, the outcome was the same from my perspective: I paid for a service and saw no evidence that it benefited my lawn. The office staff was polite throughout the process, but based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

Great Outdoors never lets me down!…read more Cesar, Jorge, and Alonso removed grass netting on an acre that didn't take due to the drought and the company who installed it, didn't bother to return my call. They mowed the location and trails afterwards. It was a massive job! Under my large deck, Cesar, Jorge, and Alonso installed chicken wiring and trimmed my shrubs. Brandon and Fernando handled fall clean up on two acres saving me hours of leaf blowing. Most recently, Cesar and Alonso removed a 20' spruce, installed a 10' black spruce, and mulched my beds. I will definitely be scheduling work in the spring. The Great Outdoors staff are a hard working TEAM!

I strongly advise potential customers to stay far away from Great Outdoors…read more Great Outdoors failed to complete the contracted scope of fall cleanup at our home, yet attempted to charge an arbitrarily high price for extremely limited and poor-quality work. Large portions of the agreed-upon cleanup were not performed at all. More concerning, the company later claimed credit for work that I personally completed myself, such as clearing one of our garden beds. They continue to assert that services were performed that demonstrably were not. Despite the minimal work completed, Great Outdoors is attempting to charge nearly $400 for what amounted to cutting back several hydrangea bushes--not even proper pruning--and little else. This charge is wildly disproportionate to the work actually done and was justified after the fact with unsupported labor claims. In addition to inaccurate and deceptive billing practices, communication was inconsistent, responses were delayed or evasive, and scheduling services was difficult throughout the process. Based on my experience, Great Outdoors' billing practices lack transparency, and their representations about work performed cannot be relied upon. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking honest, professional landscaping services.
