My estimate was received via email and I immediately responded with approval. I received a call two days before my appointment. The guys showed up right on time and did exactly what was discussed - trimming of three maple trees to removed dead wood and encroaching tree limbs from a neighbors tree. These guys know what they're doing and are always right on time, professional and competent. They cleaned up all debris as if it was their own home. I've never had any "accidents" with this crew. We have been trying to get a tree service to remove an oak from our yard for 2 years, other services never called back. Evan came right out and gave us an honest quote and the office (Teri) was quick to get our contract set up. Teri from the office communicated with us several times to make sure we knew what was happening. The crew showed up on the day they were scheduled and the area was completely clean by the next day. I was impressed by their safety standards including the crew wearing safety gear. Evan came out with all his own equipment, meaning we didn't have to pay the comp[any extra to rent the needed equipment. This tree was no easy job, it was over 13' around. Crew did a fantastic job! Ours was a small job - remove a couple bushes and grind a couple stumps. They quoted a fair price, Came on time with a full crew and made quick work of it. They took care trying not to damage sprinkler lines and nearby pavers, and were done in short order. Their attention to detail was great, putting up plywood to protect the house from flying wood chips, and spend a good bit of time getting the rest of the wood chips out of the lawn, walk and driveway. Evan and his crew came to my home on December 21, 2023. I had had a number of estimates for the work on a large silver maple in my back yard. I chose Arbor Man because I really liked what he said compared to the others who had evaluated my tree, and I especially liked what he proposed to do. My silver maple is probably 65 years old and very large. I had not kept up with pruning. The crew were all courteous and hard working. They were here about five hours. They used various kinds of equipment, but they were careful and respectful of my property. The tree is right next to the garage and the branches went way over the garage. The owner of Arbor Man is an arborist, and he knows what he's doing. The tree was expertly trimmed back, and also cabled. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. Needed 3 silver maples removed. Two were diseased and declining. The third was pinched between 2 houses encroaching on roofs and our chimney. It was a difficult tree to remove. They brought a large crew and a huge crane and had all 3 trees removed by noon (starting at 8 am). Price was very reasonable and the quality of work provided was excellent. Now that our state has opened up do to the shutdown caused by the Coronavirus, we decided to have a large Silver Maple tree removed from our backyard. We are having a sunroom built and I thought it would be easier to removed the tree first, before construction starts on our sunroom. Since tree removal services/landscaping and outside contractors are now able to return to work, I knew they would be busy. I became frantic, realizing I might not be able to have our tree removed before the contractors start on our sunroom. Arbor Man to the rescue!!! I contacted Arbor Man April 24th, Evan came out April 30Th to give us a quote. The quote was so reasonable, I contacted the office that day, signed the contract, explained the situation with the sunroom. I was told that Evan might be able to work his magic and get us scheduled as soon as possible. He sure did! Our tree was removed May 7th. We live in residential neighborhood with a large Evergreen tree in the front yard and a large Maple tree on the boulevard. To us, it didn't look like an easy job to remove that large Silver Maple from our backyard, but with Arbor Man's large crane, their crane operator and the rest of the crew, that tree was taken down with ease. It was amazing to watch how well they work together. They truly are professionals! You could not go wrong, if you decide to hire Arbor Man. I had two trees removed and stumps to be grinded which totaled 1500.00. The trees were removed which is a plus. The stump grinding was a horrible job. They even offered to redo the job for free. However my opinion on doing a job is if you are the customer who is paying for a job than it needs to be done right the first time. I could have saved 1300.00 cutting the trees myself I will never recommend this company again read more

I called Arbor Man to inquire about their service. I told the kind woman on the phone that at the very least my tree needed to have the branches trimmed away from the house, but that it was possible that the entire tree needed to come down. I wanted to get their opinion on how much work was needed. The woman told me that Evan - the owner - was doing estimates in my area "today and tomorrow", and that he would add me to the schedule. I asked if she could give me a more specific time than "today or tomorrow" to expect Evan to visit, but she said she could not. I then asked if he would call before he came. She said she would make a note that I wanted a call, but that he often doesn't call, or if he does he 'may not call until he's in the driveway, since people usually don't answer'. I thought it was terribly unprofessional to expect me to be home at all times for 2 days and not even give me warning when he's coming. But I decided to wait to see what would happen. Hopefully Evan would call before he came, or I would be home when he arrived. The next day around 3:00 PM, I saw a red pickup truck with the "Arbor Man" name painted on it pull up in front of my neighbor's house. I stepped out onto my front porch to wait for Evan to come out and discuss an estimate with me. I had my phone in my pocket in case he decided to call. After several minutes though, the truck abruptly drove away, without anyone ever getting out. I don't know if he didn't see my address, or was called away on urgent business, but for some reason he drove over to my house and then left without ever getting out of the car, or speaking to me. I never received a phone call before, during, or after his brief visit. I waited one more day to see if he would come back or if I would get some communication explaining what happened or what to expect. But I never heard from them again. No follow-up. No explanation. No estimate. After such an unprofessional start to our relationship, I decided my time would be better spent getting an estimate from one of their competitors instead of trying to contact Arbor Man again. read more

He spent about 5 minutes looking at 3 of the trees because they were easy, and then about 20 minutes looking at the last tree. It was in a tricky spot in my yard (right next to my home). A couple weeks later, the whole crew came out to remove the trees and were quick and professional. Trust me folks, I've dealt with horror story tree services, I won't let my trees be handled by anyone that isn't from now on. B) They were prompt. They came out within 24 hours. C) Evan and Kerry have customer service down to an art. From the time of the estimate to the time of the job, the weather was on and off for days. They worked around my availability and kept me updated all along the way as to when they could make it. D) The day of the job they did a great job. There was ALOT of trimming to be done and when they left the trees were in good shape. I didn't feel like they had been 'hacked', they explained what they were doing all along the way, and they cleaned everything up so well that you couldn't even tell they were there. First let me start by saying how extremely picky I am about my gardens and landscape. I decided to hire an arborist to be sure everything was handled correctly without the need for me to oversee the entire project. Evan and his crew arrived last summer to remove a diseased magnolia and an overgrown arborvitae. He also pruned three large silver maple trees. The maple trees were shaped beautifully and every tree was pruned the correct way. The magnolia removal and stump grinding went off without a hitch. Absolutely nothing was damaged and I replanted the entire area within a few weeks. I called Evan again this past March for a few more late winter/early spring projects: Three crab trees required a removal of suckers along with cleaning/thinning of the upper crowns. The tree work also included pruning the neighbor's silver maple tree away from one of the crabs. To maintain the current size, the crew trimmed and reduced branches of a fast growing magnolia. Finally they excavated around the three maple tree trunks to remove girdling roots and then spread fresh compost and shredded pine bark around each of the maples. Everything looks fresh, crisp and sharp just in time for the beautiful spring weather! I've had tree work performed in years past (by other companies-not professional arborists) and something ALWAYS went wrong; damage to the fence, damage to surrounding landscape and damage to trees from branches not being removed correctly. No need to worry with Arbor Man, LLC. Evan is professional, prompt and knowledgeable and the price is very reasonable.
