I needed a pear tree cut down in my backyard. I got quotes from 3 companies and theirs was the best ($900, $510, this company quoted me $450!). They were quick to respond, get me an estimate, and schedule the removal. They arrived an hour ahead of schedule which honestly did throw my day off but it was ok and a good "problem" to have. Today, Clean Cut Tree Experts transformed my backyard. I think it is easier to write a negative review than a good one. Generally, I don't bother to write a review. Maybe that's my bad. They removed two 60 foot trees and raised the canopy on the remaining 4 trees mature trees for $3,000. Not only were they worth the money, we gave them a $300.00 tip. The trees look great. They respect my backyard. They return every shepherd's hook, every decor item, every bird feeder, you get the point. Clean up was outstanding. You would not know they were here. No sticks. Clean cuts came out last week to remove a few dead trees and clean up the trees on my lot line. We received about 10 different quotes and are so happy that we chose Clean Cuts. When I called to schedule the quote, the phone staff was very knowledgeable asking about the tree permits that I am required to get in my area. NO other company asked about this crucial step. When the crew arrived, they spent time planning how they would tackle the job. I appreciated the fact that they cut down the smaller dead tree and used the trunk to protect my driveway and sidewalk as they removed the larger dead tree. While cutting the tree line, they placed boards down on my grass to protect the grass. They also did a wonderful job cleaning up all of the debris. I can't say how much I enjoyed working with this company. They are timely, respectful and hardworking. I will definitely use them again. read more

I was an advocate for this company in 2016 when they removed a giant maple from the middle of my yard that weaved between power lines. They took that bad boy down in a matter of hours for $1500. I was so impressed, I referred them to neighbors and friends. Fast forward to 2021, I get an estimate for a tree half the size, granted, closer to the house, but $2300? The two other estimates I received came in under $1500. They would have received one star but I know they do good work. Perhaps the estimate would have been lower had my husband asked for the estimate. Be sure to get several estimates before hiring. Edit: I was so disappointed. It's a shame to write this but I have to: Hired Clean cut for trimming dead branches last November after waiting for the Oak Tree leaves to drop (for a cleanup on small growth. After several delays a crew appeared on a snowy December day to trim several trees for dead branches. At the time, I called expressing my concern that due to the time of the year they finally came out, that I need assurance that the DEAD branches from the designated trees would be attended to. I was told to call back in the Spring and a crew would return to take care of the missed cuttings. In December, the crew was very nice and I gave them the benefit of the doubt for missing a plethora of branches that had fallen in the snow that were never picked up. I again called after the trimming, spoke to the woman that takes the calls and reminded her that there were missing dead branches that were not cut. I thought she put my mind at ease stating to call back in the Spring. Over the past two weeks, I have called, at a time was set for a crew to return a few days later- Result- no show no call. I contacted the woman on the phone and she apologized for not calling stating the crew had a "bigger job" and was unable to make it on the agreed day. She told me she would call back and let me know when I could expect the service. She never called back. I called and she apologized, again, stating she would contact JEREMY and call me back... Again she never called nor a crew show up. Lesson Learned: Don't pay the full amount until the JOB IS COMPLETED. After reading the very positive comments, I am saddened to write this- think twice the next time you are thinking of Clean Cut Tree "Experts"- the follow up calls after paying them is virtually non existent! read more

I keep going between one and two stars for this company! What a huge disappoint. I called around and got a bunch of quotes to remove a huge mulberry tree in the back yard of our house because the poor thing split last winter in multiple spots. We were so sad that we had to get rid of it. At any rate, they are insured and were the cheapest, so we called them up and got an appointment. They were pretty booked so it took about 3 weeks to get them out there.... no worries. Tree removal day came, the process was pretty quick. They did jack up the yard by driving the machinery.... which I guess there is no getting around. They did tear up the yard pretty good. It was odd because I asked who to pay and no one seemed to notice. We were told that they broke our light fixture that was affixed to the garage because they drove the machine and hit it. I am not sure how that happened because it was only 10 inches off the garage. It took forever to get them to fix it- like months..... and multiple phone calls and emails... Overall, I am pretty disappointed with the work and if I ever have to have a tree removed, they will not be getting a call from me. read more

I needed some bushes and small trees removed and the stumps ground out so that I could have a concrete slab put in. After I called them it took clean cut tree experts around 5 days to come out and give me an estimate. I told the estimator that I was going to have concrete put in so that when they ground up the stumps I would like to have them remove the wood chips. The stumps were small and there were only a few of them so I did not expect that would be a big deal. The estimator told me that they would have to charge me $300 to remove the wood chips which I thought was outrageous so I told him to forget that part of the job. The rest of the quote was reasonable so I told them to go ahead and do the job. The estimator told me it would be about three weeks. A couple days later a lady called to schedule the job and said that their first opening was a month out. The concrete company had me scheduled for a couple days after the tree company opening so I went ahead and scheduled it. Clean Cut was scheduled to do the job on 20 June. They said they would be out early to mid afternoon. I never received a call from them confirming the job the day before and they didn't show up to do the job on the 20th. I heard nothing from them all day so I called them at 4:30 pm. The lady told me that the crew was still tied up on an earlier job but she would call me back to let me know if they were going to make it. When she did finally call me back she said they wouldn't make it that day but would try to fit me in that week. She told me she would talk to the owner and call me back the next morning. Now my thought was that since they had not kept their scheduled commitment that I should have been their first customer the next morning not "see if we can fit you in some other time this week". The lady did call back the next morning to tell me she had sent a request to all three of her crews and that they would get out to do the job by the end of the day. Now remember I had the concrete company coming the next day and needed the trees and brush removed. Well Clean Cut did not show up again and they never called to update the status of when they would show up. I called and left a message a little after 5 pm asking what was up and they did not call back. In my opinion this company is as bush league as they come. They are unreliable, unprofessional and not very responsive with very little communication. I would never hire them again and I have told three neighbors who also wanted them to do some work to call some other tree service company. My warning to anyone who is thinking of hiring this company is "let the buyer beware". There are a lot of other reliable and professional tree companies so steer clear of this bush league outfit. read more

This company provides excellent service on every level. We inherited a home on a lot where mature trees had not been tended and many were dead. In addition, the area that the company had to navigate retains water. They were consistent in being concerned about not damaging the constantly soft/wet lawn and rescheduled several times on their own initiative until the ground could handle their equipment. The office manager has excellent communication skills and understood all our concerns. The crew that came to do the work allowed us to add a few items onto the original work order. They too were articulate and caring about all the work they did. They arrived promptly when scheduled and completed the job very quickly - removing four dead trees and limbing some very large maples. Their clean up was remarkable and they had good advice about what to do when replanting. Also left us firewood and wood chips for our landscaping. I would recommend this company to everyone! read more
